In the Yoshioka residence, Hibiki and his family are currently enjoying a hot meal. "Chibiki, so how did you go in the exam? You never told us." Aika asks her son, worried about him after seeing the partly broken headphones he returned with. "Hm? I think I went fine...we won't really know until the letter comes." Hibiki replies quietly, silently praying for the letter to be one of acceptance. "Well, just so you know, I called one of my friends from the pussycats." His mothers words catch his interest. "You mean Aunt Tomoko?" He asks, legitimately curious. "Yep! My adorable little kouhai says she'd give you a recommendation as long as you go visit her sometime!" Hibiki's left eye twitches once at his mothers jubilant explanation. "That-...that sounds a little like blackmail mom...from both sides? Wait does that just make it a normal deal?" As Hibiki confuses himself, his mother and father laugh to themselves.

The doorbell suddenly rings, distracting the family from their fun. "I'll get it." Kazuya states as he gets up from his seat and moves for the door. The remaining two family members look on curiously as Kazuya receives a letter from the figure outside their vision. After thanking the delivery man, the father of one closed the door and walks back over to his family, handing the letter to his wife. "I can't read who it's from." He says as the letter successfully transfers hands. "Well, you are blind as a bat." Aika states before laughing at her own joke. Looking back down to the letter in her hands, the mother's laughter stops immediately. "It's from U.A." She says in a surprisingly quiet tone. Her hands are visibly shaking as she hands the letter to her son, hoping that her son has succeeded.

Tearing the top of the envelope open, a hologram suddenly springs forth of the loudmouth hero Present Mic. Surprised, Hibiki falls backwards off his chair and awaits the obnoxiously loud hero to begin. "Hibiki Yoshioka!" Hibiki gets to his feet when he hears that the hologram appears to have a set level of volume not even Present Mic can get around. "I'd like to be the first to congratulate you on your astounding performance!" The Pro's excessive motions keep the family's attention for a few moments before realising what has just been said. "What's more! With 50 Villain points and 25 Rescue points, you got second place out of everyone who took the exam! So, we'll be expecting you here bright and early for your first day at U.A! Welcome, to your Hero Academia!" It takes a few moments for the reality of the situation to finally sink in for the family. Once it does however, an uproar of jovial cheers can be heard coming from the house all the way down the street.

Later that night, Hibiki returns to his bedroom to rest up for the next day that would likely consist of Bakugo bragging to everyone at school. Regardless of how horrid his personality is, U.A. Don't know that and he is a surprisingly good study. Moving his thoughts away from the bully, he opens a drawer in his bedside table and pulls out a small picture frame, placing it down and looking at it with a mix of emotions. In the frame, the image of two children is displayed. One with yellow eyes and messy black hair with a quiet smile while the other is a little girl with forest green eyes and hair with a bright grin on her face. At the bottom of the picture, written in black pen, are the words 'Best Friends'. "Hey Dina. I made it. I'm one step closer to being a hero. The exam was pretty hectic and my headphones ended up cracking but I did meet some pretty interesting people. My quirk's been getting stronger too. It hurts more than ever when I take off my headphones but...it doesn't hurt nearly as bad as when we lost you. Haha, sorry, you're right. If I'm gonna be a hero then I need to keep smiling right?...I miss you. We all do. Mom made me promise not to go out looking for the guy that pushed you but...If I ever see him...I don't know if I'd be able to hold myself back." Tears begin caressing the young boy's cheeks before he finishes his one sided conversation, turning off the light and going to sleep.

when the day finally comes, Hibiki stands before the entrance to the massive school, filled with determination. As he's about to make his way through the doors, a familiar sight befalls the boy. "Hibikiiii!" Turning to face the source of the familiar voice, he lets out a sigh as he sees his mother rushing towards him. "You forgot your lunch!" The boy facepalms when his mother stops in front of him. "Mom...you know the school has a cafeteria right?" The pink haired woman stares blankly at her child for a few moments before the information sinks in. "Ah! I'm sorry!" She begins to panic which causes a rather amusing scene to the other incoming students. "I-it's alright mom, thanks for the lunch." Aika cheers up almost immediately, handing her child the homemade lunch and giving him a quick kiss on the forehead. "M-mom..." Aika chuckles at her sons embarrassment before turning him around and pushing him towards the door. "Good luck on your first day, Chibiki!" Hibiki's face turns red at the sound of his nickname being spoken in public. "Mom!" He lets out a surprising yell but his mother is already on her way, laughing to herself as she leaves.

Hibiki lets out another sigh before once again making his way through the entrance and towards his classroom. The halls along the way are surprisingly clean and tidy, even if it is the first day. "I guess this is what it's like in a school for the 0.2%" eventually the boy makes it to the door of his new classroom, for the next year at least. The door is stupidly large with a massive 1-A on it. Opening the door, the first thing he is greeted by is the figures of a few of his classmates that arrived earlier than him. A boy with dark blue hair and glasses sitting perfectly upright and scarily patient, a boy with a head similar to that of a black crow, a girl with biological headphone jacks hanging from her ears, a boy with two-tone red and white hair and finally, a girl that seems to be of the prim and proper, honer student variety, though not nearly as bad as the glasses guy seems to be, with her black hair tied back and a single bang flowing down past her face.

"Hm? You're the one who was wearing those headphones during the presentation!" The glasses boy stands up and marches over to Hibiki with the intent of chiding the boy. "Uh, Sorry? I only wear them because of my quirk. And I'm not playing any music through them." The boy is surprised by Hibiki's reasoning and immediately bows apologetically before standing back up and offering the boy a handshake. "My name is Iida Tenya, I hope we can move past this and work together towards our goals."  Hibiki smiles to the boy introducing himself as Iida and returns the handshake. "Hibiki Yoshioka, I hope we can get along." With the two boys introductions out of the way, the two head black to their seats with Hibiki finding a spot next to the ponytail girl.

Hibiki attempts to make small talk with the girl and, other than getting her name, failing to do so until he brings up the entrance exam. "You got really high marks on the written test huh?" The girl turns to face him. "I did and you're not very good at flirting." Hibiki is taken aback for a moment due to the girl's blunt reply. "I-I wasn't flirting." Momo responds by raising her brow inquisitively. "My school had this one guy that would always harass everyone and shout making things difficult to hear, plus my parents aren't the smartest so, other than trying to get to know one of my classmates, I wanted to know if you'd, maybe, tutor me? Sometime? If or when you're not busy?" As he had been avoiding eye contact with the blunt girl during his rambling explanation, he failed to see the sparkle in the young girl's eyes until it's far too late. "Y-you want me to tutor you?"  Rather than sounding condescending, she seems as though she's asking for confirmation, almost thrilled by the idea of helping her classmate learn. "Yeah...? I mean, yes...Though if you don't want to..." after noticing the look in her eyes, Hibiki decides to play with his classmate for a moment. "No! I mean-I'd love too! I mean-" Hibiki lets out a chuckle at the sight of the flustered girl, causing her to snap back to reality. "You-!" Hibiki quickly raises his hands in surrender in an attempt to stop himself from being hit over the head. "I'm sorry, you just looked really cute when you got all excited and I couldn't help myself" The two grow quiet after Hibiki's outburst; their faces turn red and they both return to their seats, looking to the front of the classroom without another word.

waiting as the classroom slowly fills and the volume increases, suddenly, a boisterous eyesore appears in the room, making himself known to everyone as the blonde angrily stomps into the room, ignoring everyone and heading straight for Hibiki, explosions going off in his palms as he smirks. "Hey mouse! You see the scores!?" Bakugou slams his palms down on Hibiki's desk. "I did." The green eyed boy replies. "Then you know who's top dog!" The blonde yells with a grin on his face. "So that's why your breath smells like ass. If you want to bark, do it over there then." Though he's usually relatively quiet, friendly and well mannered, due to Bakugou's actions throughout their schooling, he has developed somewhat of a, shall we say dislike, for the spiky haired teen, as is evident in his venomous way of speaking to him. A few snickers can be heard from the other students which only serves to enrage the boy with an already explosive personality. Before Bakugou can say anything however, Hibiki continues. "Zero rescue points. You've got an interesting take on 'heroism'. Especially when you destroy more than you save. Tell me, how many buildings came down because of you in the exam?" Bakugou shouts out "As goddamn many as I wanted you little-!" Bakugou is interrupted by Hibiki. "And how many people would have been caught under the wreckage's? Did you ever once check to see if anyone needed help? No? So let me get this straight. You don't care about other people, you have a superiority complex, you bully the weak and advocate suicide. Did I miss anything?" The entire classroom falls silent as Bakugou turns away from Hibiki and makes his way towards an empty seat.

Moments later, the door opens to reveal Midoriya, followed closely by the girl he was trying to talk to before the entrance exam. The two chatting brings a bit of life back to the solemn atmosphere of the classroom and prompts Iida to make himself known to the pair. Meanwhile, Momo leans over to speak with Hibiki. "So I'm assuming you know that guy?" Momo points towards Bakugou. "Like I said, he's nothing but a bully with a bad attitude." Momo looks at Hibiki worriedly and asks the question on her mind. "Did something happen between you two?" Hibiki closes his eyes as his fists shake. "I just don't like him." Momo obviously doesn't believe him for a second as he lies through his gritted teeth. "Well, if you ever want to talk, I'd be happy to listen. If I'm going to be your tutor then I should at least help you out this much." Hibiki stares at the ponytail girl shocked. "You still want to tutor me?" Momo smiles giddily. "Of course!"

As Hibiki is about to reply once more, a man encased in a sleeping bag appears at the front of the classroom. "Hmm, it took you lot 8 seconds to quiet down. Life is short, kids. You're all lacking in common sense." The tired looking man speaks as he sheds his sleeping bag cocoon. "I'm your home room teacher, Aizawa Shouta. Pleasure meeting you." A few of the students are flabbergasted by the idea that this unkempt man is their teacher, let alone a pro hero. "Wear these immediately. Then shove off to the p.e. Grounds." The teacher hands each student a blue, white and red uniform and leaves the classroom. "Huh...well alright then"
