"Revelation pt. 2"

Lisa sat at the cafe while waiting for Sungmin.

Finally, after half an hour, Sungmin finally came.

"What is it?" Lisa asked.

Sungmin just handed her an envelope.

She opened it and read the contents.

A moment passed by when she suddenly cried.

She covered her mouth as she looked at the papers. Her hands shaking.

"I just saw this yesterday too. The man mom has hit was named Kang Ro. Who is Kang Ro to you?" Sungmin asked as he looks at the crying girl.

"F-father"

And just like that, Sungmin's world stopped. What have he done?

He thought Kang Ro was just an uncle to Lisa. Who would've thought that it was actually her missing father.

"I- I... I" Sungmin tried to explain but no words left his mouth.

He wanted to tell this to Lisa first because he thought he would earn points from her affection if he did so.

He never thought that this would hurt her and stab her deeply.

If he only knew...he wouldn't have done it.

Sungmin held his head.

Lisa's muffled cries resonated through the quiet cafe.

If one would pass by, they would thought that this two was in the middle of their break up.

Lisa stood up while crying.

"W-wait. I... I'm sorry" Sungmin said as he reached out to her.

Lisa wiped her tears.

"Does Jungkook knows?" Lisa asked shakily.

Sungmin fell silent before saying,"N-no"

"Don't lie. Does he know?" Lisa asked for the second time.

She looked at him as if she's going to tear him apart, hence, he nodded his head slowly.

Lisa stormed out of the cafe with heavy steps. Tears still falling down her pretty face.

Lisa went to the court. When she arrived, the trial was already finished.

With swelling eyes, she looked around. She then approached Attorney Oh.

"Uncle Oh, how was it?"

Attorney Oh smiled proudly as he said,"She's not pledged guilty. She's free now. We fabricated some things but it's all worth it. No need to thank this old man"

Lisa stepped back with shaking legs.

Her tears started to stream down again.

How could this happen?

She covered her mouth as she sat on the ground.

"Lisa! What happened? Stand up!" Attorney Oh worriedly asked.

He tried to make her stand up but she didn't budge at all.

She hugged herself on the ground as she cried harder.

She's so stupid! Stupid Lisa!

"Come on. Stand up now. Crying there won't help" Attorney Oh coaxed.

Lisa slowly looked up at him before standing up.

"I'll take my leave now" she bowed before walking away.

Lisa walked aimlessly at the road.

People can't help but notice the beauty who looks like the world has ended on her.

Lisa stopped outside a cinema. She looked up before reaching out for her phone.

"Hello Jungkook?"

"Lisa?"

"Mm. Do you want to tell me something?" Lisa asked as her watery eyes looked at the loving couples lining up for the movie.

The other end fell silent.

Jungkook was taken aback by her question.

In the end, he said,"No. Nothing at all. Why? Ah! I have something to tell you, don't forget to wear the dress I sent you okay?"

Lisa closed her eyes as she cried silently.

She felt betrayed.

She just helped the woman who killed her father.

She just helped her escape.

Her father didn't get the justice he needed because of her. She's so stupid! Lisa, you're so stupid!

Lisa cried hard but no sound was coming out from her.

Her gaze were glued to the couples in line to the cinema.

"Lisa?" Jungkook called out because he can't hear anything from her.

Lisa wiped her tears away as she did her best to keep her voice steady,"Uh..s-sure. I'm wearing the dress now. I'll wait for you. I'll send you the address"

After that, she ended the call before hailing for a taxi.

Jungkook arrived at the cinema Lisa sent him.

The outside of the cinema looked like a theme park with balloon hearts everywhere.

He looked around and finally, his gaze landed at a beautiful figure wearing a light purple dress.

It's as if everything around him fell in slow motion and his eyes could only see her clearly while the surroundings are blurred.

That's the very moment that he realized.

He finally fell in love with her.

He walked slowly towards her.

When he reached her, he was about to hug her when she stepped back.

"Do you have something to tell me?" Lisa asked.

That's when he realized that her eyes are red..it's like she cried for hours.

"Tell me now Jungkook. I'm waiting. I know you would tell me anything" Lisa said as she cupped his face.

"I...I...I have nothing to say"

Lisa's hands on his face fell down as her tears came back once again. That's the last thing that's holding her.

"Your mother killed my father, and yet you turned a blind eye and you even let me help her!! Was that just a show?! Am I just fxcking used?!" Lisa finally snapped.

Jungkook's body froze as he stared at Lisa with wide eyes.

When everything finally sinks in him, he tried to reach out to her only to be slapped away.

"Don't"

"L-lisa... it's not what you think. I swear I tried to tell you... I...I..I just couldn't find any courage to do so"

Lisa snorted.

"Was it fun watching me help the culprit for my father's death? I bet the two of you are laughing at me"

"Lisa... listen to me first. I'm sorry for what she did back then. I'm sorry for not telling you anything. I was scared!" Jungkook said as he hugged Lisa tightly.

Lisa hit Jungkook's chest.

"Scared that when I found out the truth I won't help her anymore?!"

Lisa pushed Jungkook away.

"Lisa...I didn't even want you to help her--"

"Ah! Sorry! I forgot! It was all my fault! I was an idiot!" Lisa said as she cried harder. Jungkook's eyes became red as well as he tried his best to calm her down.

"I'm such an idiot! Just say it!"

"Lisa..calm down"

"Are you laughing? Was it fun to toy me? Your mother is saved! She won't go to prison now! Congratulations!!" Lisa clapped as she laughed, trying to mask her crying self.

"Lisa, none of it was your fault"

"Of course! Glad you know..because you know what? You are just the same as your mother. Like mother..like son" Lisa said as she looked at Jungkook accusingly.

Jungkook's expression suddenly turned blank. His eyes looked coldly at the girl in front of him.

"Insult me with anything, but never say that I'm the same as my mother"

Lisa stopped talking when she heard what Jungkook said.

She tried to speak but no words came out of her mouth.

"We'll talk once your mind is clear" Jungkook said and with that, he turned his back as he walked away.

Lisa tried to run after him but she's too weak to do so.

She's too hurt to do so.

She just looked at his sinking figure as she cried once again.
