Let the Game Begin

The games will soon begin, but Sungmin is still nowhere to be seen.

"Where could that punk be?" Lisa muttered to herself while looking around, trying to find their member, Lee Sungmin of Class B.

"It's fine if he won't come. I think it's better actually," Jungkook suddenly said from Lisa's back, startling the said girl.

"Oh my god! You scared me," Lisa said while looking at Jungkook in horror.

Jungkook just chuckled at her stance, as he just stood beside her. Lisa became stiff but she gained her composure when she remembered Jungkook's words.

"Wait, a while ago, you are being upset and you even yelled at us to find Sungmin, but now you're just saying that having Sungmin not around is better?" Lisa asked without even pausing. Jungkook just looked at her dumbfoudedly. He then soon scratch the back of his neck, as he looks at the ground.

"I changed my mind," Jungkook muttered. Lisa was about to rebut his words but the announcer's voice stopped her from doing so.

"Attention everyone! The first game will begin in 15 minutes so get your team ready!" the announcer said, and with that, each student made their ways to their respective groups.

"Our first game is.....

Volleyball!!"

This announcement caused the crowd to go wild.

"This is a bit different thou. The members in each team would only consist of 3 members, all girls," the announcer stated, earning a confused look from the students.

"The first game will be Volleyball in the favor of Group 3 vs Group 5!!! So get your teams ready and the game will begin in 15!!" the announcer finished.

"Who the freaking hell can play volleyball here?" Jihee asked.

Mihyo and Lisa raised their hands attentively.

"I can play volleyball like a monster but sorry, I'm not a girl," Mingyu said.

"You sure about that," Jungkook asked earning a glare from Mingyu.

"Sorry, I can't play volleyball," Jihee said sadly.

"It's fine, I can play volleyball. I'm the volleyball team's captain for a reason," Hyejin said as she made her way besides Lisa and Mihyo.

"Then it's all set. Remember, do not ever use cheat techniques. Always keep your eyes on the prize and don't settle for less," Jungkook said with determination and with that, their team finally made it's way at the field where the first game will be held.

At the field

Group 3 is already on their places when Jungkook's group arrived.

The moment that they entered the field, Jungkook immediately looked at their opponent, to know if he could come up with a tactic, but he was caught by surprise when he saw the players of Group 3.

Jungkook looked at the representatives of Group 3 dumbfoundedly. Hyejin saw Jungkook's reaction that's why she followed his line of sight, and there, she saw the 3 representatives of Group 3.

There's Wendy, Jihyo and last but not the least, Park Jangmi.

"Just trust her. Who knows, she might be the next Captain of our Volleyball team," Hyejin said while looking at the nerdy girl in front of them.

Jungkook just ignored her words as he made his way towards their team.

"Just have fun, don't take the game seriously," he said. After that, he made his way towards a bench wherein you can see the full view of the game. Mingyu followed his friend and Jihee followed him after.

"We'll win this," Mihyo said as they walk in the middle of the field.

Group 3 is also ready on their positions.

"Let the game begin," Hyejin muttered with a smirk on her face.

And with that, the whistle is fired up to start the game.

Hyejin striked the first serve, targetting it towards Seulgi. The serve was just fine but it was too fast to see that's why Seulgi failed to receive it, giving the point to their team.

The three girls clapped their hands together, happy about getting the first point in the game.

Hyejin served once again, and this time, Seulgi caught it. Seulgi passed the ball to Jihyo and Jihyo spiked the ball towards Lisa.

The spike was fast and hard but Lisa was skilled enough to block it and pass it towards Mihyo. Mihyo spiked the ball towards Jihyo and Jihyo was not able to rebut it that's why the point was given to Group 5 once again.

The game kept on going, making it 6-2 in the favor of Group 5.

Seulgi made their group's serve, targetting it towards Mihyo and Mihyo received it beautifully. Jihyo spiked the ball towards Hyejin but Hyejin spiked the ball towards Seulgi in a fast manner. Seulgi blocked Hyejin's spike, passing it towards Jihyo, Jihyo spiked the ball towards Lisa.

Lisa was so caught up in the game that's why when she saw the ball coming towards her, she spiked the ball with all her might, spiking the ball towards Jangmi.

When Jangmi saw the ball coming towards her, she can't do anything but to just stare at it.

"What should I do? What should I do?" she thought to herself, but that thought of her was cutted off when the ball finally hitted her face, wiping out her consciousness.

Lisa saw what happened and she can't help but to feel fear rushing down her vains.

Oh my freaking god. What did I just do?

Lisa ran towards the unconscious Jangmi. A lot of students also gathered around the sleeping girl.

Lisa was about to touch Jangmi, when a huge hand suddenly stopped her from doing so.

When she looked up, she saw a furious Jungkook looking towards her.

"I thought you're different, but you're just like anybody else. The next time you like someone, don't target the thing that it likes, because those are the things that only bitches can do," Jungkook said with emphasis in each words. And with that being said, he carried Jangmi in bridal style as he made his way out of the crowd, shouting at them to disperse and that there's nothing much to see.

Lisa just sat at the ground motionless.

Why does she feel so heavy right now.

"Nice shot you got there," Jihee said as she made her way beside Lisa.

"You should teach us soon. I wanna do it too," Mihyo said. The two girls finally left, leaving a lost Lisa and a composed Hyejin.

"I know you didn't did that on purpose," Hyejin said, catching Lisa's attention.

"Stop crying, you look ugly," Hyejin said, looking at the sitting girl with red eyes.

"Crying won't help. It won't do anything, besides, he's not someone that you should be worshipping. If he won't believe you, who fucking cares? As long as you know it in yourself that you haven't done anything wrong, nothing's wrong. You don't need anyone's opinion and belief to keep on breathing." Hyejin said.

Lisa wiped away her tears. She was about to say thank you to Hyejin but when she looked up, she only saw Hyejin's retreating back.
