His eyes blinked open, trying to adjust towards the darkness which surrounded him. He was in pain. A lot of pain. Every muscle in his body felt as if it had been set on fire and left to burn. He opened his mouth, trying to speak something. Anything.

Yet no sound came out except for a low, painful groan.

"Dad! Are you okay?" He heard a panicked voice coming from his left side.

Suddenly, the room was filled with more people - people who were clad in white lab coats and had strange badges attached to the pockets. They steadied him into a more comfortable position and stuck something sharp into his upper arm - injection. He hissed in pain and was about to struggle against their grips when he felt the pain disappearing slightly.

After a while, his body went numb. He saw a man clad in a white labcoat talking to another man dressed in an all black gear while the others have already left the room.

Who are these people? And What do they want from him?

Suddenly, realization hit him hard he remembered that he was shot by Lord Fowler. They shot him - killed him.
He was supposed to be dead.

Did these people save him?

"Dad?" He stiffened when he heard the same voice again; the one which he had ignored earlier. But now that he was not in agony anymore and could think better, he turned his head towards his left.

Harvey.

Leigh Cantwell stared in shock as his son's concerned face came into his view; the same son who disappeared and was the reason of his almost-death.

"Y-you?" He managed to stutter but quickly erupted into a coughing fit. Harvey quickly poured a glass of water and helped him drink.

"You have the complete right to be angry with me, Dad. But please, listen me out first." His son said after a moment of silence.

"What is there to listen? You messed up! Now we are in troubl--" He started to cough again.

"No. We are safe. We will be safe."

"How can you be so.. sure?"

Before Harvey could reply, another voice interrupted their conversation.

"Because you have our support."

Leigh Cantwell turned to stare at the newcomer, only to be met with piercing blue eyes and a confident smirk. It was the same guy who was talking to the doctor earlier.

"You're at CIA's personal hospital and being treated by our top doctors." The man said as he came closer and took a seat beside his bed.

"Before we jump into explanations, let me introduce myself," The guy flashed him a charming grin,

"My name is Ryan Robertson and I work with CIA's interrogation department."

Andy's giggle interrupted Brook and Jack's loving gazes - or eye-fucking as Andy would say with annoyance. The boys immediately turned their attention towards their blonde friend who seemed quite angry this morning when they greeted him. Jack had quietly observed Andy as he rambled on about Rye's 'confusing' and 'annoying' behaviour while Brook - being the dense but cute kid he is - was completely oblivious to the whole situation.

They had done everything to boost up Andy's mood but after being told off several times by the blonde, they decided to stop and let him be. So It was indeed a surprise when Andy suddenly giggled out of nowhere.

They were currently sitting in the library - as it was a free period - and pretending to study; well Jack and Brook were doing the pretending while Andy was actually immersed in some thick books.

"Um, What's so funny?" Brook asked bluntly.

"Look!" Andy giggled again and handed them the book, pointing to a particular page. Jack quickly checked the cover and raised his brows in surprise and confusion.

World's most dangerous poisons; a medical research.

"What?" Brook asked dumbly.

Andy rolled his eyes and pointed to the page again. Jack let his eyes scan over the page and frowned when He saw that Andy was pointing towards a picture. It was an insect named "Lovebug".

"It's a poisonous insect which can be really deadly if not treated within 12 hours." The boy explained with a mischievous look.

"Okay...? And?" Brook asked again.

Andy sighed before grinning, "Apparently the poison can be treated only if a male and female gamete fuse together and act as an antidote to the poison."

Brook bursted into laughter and so did Andy while Jack continued to watch the two boys with amused eyes.

"Why are you even reading such books?" Brook asked after they calmed down. Jack patiently waited for an answer since he was curious as well.

"You remember what Mr. Tanner spoke about a few days ago? The poison which cannot be cured? I was trying to find more information about it."

"Incurable poison?" Jack raised his brow in interest.

"Yeah. He was talking about some longbow which can directly poison the target. I was curious about it." Andy shrugged, not noticing the way Jack's eyebrows furrowed together in concentration.

"Can you guys stop talking about poisons and killing, please? I'm hungry." Brook complained, making Andy smack his huge head before running out of the library, with Brooklyn in tow.

Jack chuckled at their antics and apologised to the librarian as he walked out of the hall after his friends.

Rye was sitting on the rooftop of London University, enjoying the cold air which brushed against his skin. It was rather cold today but the agent was still fixed on wearing his bodyguard gear. He sighed, leaning back slightly as he let his thoughts take over for a while.

He almost lost control last night.

If Andy's voice didn't break him out of his trance then he might have done something which he would be regretting right now.

'Not that I have any less regrets right now.' He thought wryly.

His feelings for Andy were getting in his mission's way which made this whole situation even more frustrating. He had not gathered a single piece of valuable information about David Fowler yet. His friends and colleagues were probably mad at him (and so was he at them) and His commander had not contacted him since that incident.

He was proper messed up right now.

Suddenly, he felt a presence behind him. Instinctively, he pulled out his gun and took a defensive stance, only to come face to face with a shocked Andy Fowler. He lowered his gun and tried to not look like an awkward teenager fussing over his crush. They have not uttered a word to each other since last night.

"Hi." Andy said softly as he took a seat beside him.

Rye nodded in acknowledgement, avoiding the Blonde's gaze. A moment passed as neither of them spoke, just revelling in each other's presence - a serenity lined with an awkward air.

"What are you doing up here?" Rye finally decided to cut the silence.

"I could ask you the same thing." The boy retorted in a sassy tone, reminding Rye of the first time he met this gorgeous but stuck up boy.

"I needed some fresh air. I'm not much of a people's person." Lie. It was a lie since Rye had always been pretty comfortable with large crowds and new faces.

"Oh." Andy muttered and another wave of awkward silence fell between them.

"I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry."

They both looked at each other; a pair of pretty cerulean clashing with a pair of hypnotising umbers - and the world seemed to stand still.

Rye was the first one to break eye contact, looking away to hide his embarrassment while Andy on the other hand giggled in amusement, a pretty blush adorning his pale cheeks.

"I'm sorry for trying to control your life. I understand that I have no right over you and You can do as you please." The brunet agent said emotionlessly.

"That's not..." Andy frowned as he tried to form a proper sentence, "You don't have to apologise, Rye. I was the one who should've informed you about my whereabouts beforehand. I promise, I won't be so careless next time."

Rye watched the boy with an intense look before nodding slightly.

"Where did you go anyway?" He asked as an attempt to finally gain some useful information.

"Oh, Just an old friend of mine. No one important." The blonde shrugged it off, making Rye frown but nod nonetheless. He can't pry out information from Andy by force. He'll let it go.

For now.

"You joined them?" Leigh Cantwell glared at his son.

The man named Ryan Robertson had filled him in on the events which took place a few days ago. Apparently, His Son had agreed to work for the CIA as long as they promise to avenge his brother's death. To say that Leigh Cantwell was disappointed would be an understatement.

"I had no other choice." Harvey shrugged.

Robertson had left a few minutes ago to check in with the doctor, leaving the father-son duo alone.

"This is dangerous, Harvey! These guys are dangerous."

"And so is David Fowler!" Harvey snapped.

"You don't understand, son--"

"What do I don't understand!? That Fowler killed my brother and then his dad attempted to kill you and he almost succeeded!" His son shouted furiously.

Leigh looked down in guilt, his heart telling him to trust his son and help the CIA. But his mind - his mind was on a whole another level.

David knew everything about him and It won't be long before he finds out that Leigh is still alive. He had known Fowler since they were in highschool and he knows that the simplest of things could fuel David's anger.

Although this was no simple thing.

The CIA are planning to take down Fowler and his whole gang but... was it really possible?

"You need to trust me, Dad." Harvey said in determination, putting a reassuring hand on his father's shoulder.

"But.. What about Nicky and Elliot?"
Leigh asked worriedly.

"They will be safe."

He turned around to find agent Robertson leaning against the doorway.

"We ensure the safety of your whole family. You just have to trust us." The curly haired agent spoke with a warm smile.

And despite his many fears, Leigh Cantwell gave in.

"You are such a good cook!" Andy praised as he licked his fingers in a very non-Andy like way. Rye just smiled and shook his head fondly.

Earlier, He had found Andy pouting in the kitchen. When asked for the reason behind his sour mood, the boy grumpily replied that he had tried to cook for the first time in his life and the food got burned.

"I bet that poison would taste better than my cooking." He had commented sourly.

Despite Andy's grumbles about ordering in again today, Rye decided to cook a simple meal himself and let the boy watch, asking him to help with simple things (which he - surprisingly - did without a complain).

"Where did you learn to cook like this?" Andy exclaimed in astonishment.

"My mum is a great cook. I used to help her all the time when I was younger." Rye replied honestly.

"Wow. I would love to meet your mum- no actually, I'd love to meet your whole family." Andy grinned at him.

Rye's heart fluttered as he thought about taking Andy to meet his family.

"They would surely like you very much."

"Really? Let's go meet them this weekend then."

Rye's smile fell as he realised that Andy wouldn't be able to meet his family. Not yet anyway. His frown deepened when he remembered that he had not spoken with his family (besides Robbie) for months now.

Rye intends to keep his personal life away from his job; not because of the agency rules but because he wants them to be safe.

But this boy - the one sitting in front of him - can make him do almost anything.

When did Rye gave him so much power over himself?

"Not this weekend. Maybe someday." Rye finally answered, standing up to put the dishes away. Andy just nodded in understanding.

"Okay then. I'll see you tomorrow. Good night."

"Good night."
