Kaito frowned as he stared at Haru with another girl, who he presumed was the one he broke up with Imani for. He continued to hold Imani's waist as he pulled her to him. Imani only frowned and glared at Haru.

"Great, your ugly mug was not something I wanted to see right now". She sighed.

Haru scoffed at her. "Please, who are you kidding? I'm the only person you actually want to see. Who was it that said that she had fallen in love with me?" He said, smirking smugly at her.

Imani growled at him and gave Haru a roundhouse kick to his face, throwing him to the ground. Hikaru widened her eyes and stared at Imani, cheeks flushed red. Haru wiped the blood from his lips and stood back up. He rubbed his bruised cheek.

"Good kick as always, Imani. Strong as ever, I see".

Hikaru looked over Haru's face. "Are you alright?" She asked him.

"Yeah, I'll be fine".

"This is your ex girlfriend?" She asked, staring at Imani in awe.

"Yeah, amazing isn't she?" He asked, chuckling.

"I can see why you loved her". She said, staring at Imani.

"You're an asshole! After everything I have done for you! Everything we have been through! You pushed me aside so easily! You didn't even try to keep our relationship! I loved you! I would have done anything for you! But no more! I'm done with you! I'm getting over you! I'm moving on!" She screamed at him at the top of her lungs.

Haru could only stare at Imani, hurt in his eyes. Hikaru looked at him, worriedly.

"That's for the best. Forget me Imani". He calmly told her.

"I'm in love with Hikaru. I'm over you and already moved on. You should to".

Imani balled up her fists, holding back the tears that were trying to come out. Kaito placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Well, Haru, I guess you breaking up with Imani was the best thing you could do". Kaito told him.

Haru frowned at him and eyed him suspiciously. "Why is that?" He asked, pretending not to be curious.

"Because now she can be with me. I have come to realize that I love Imani".

Imani widened her eyes. Haru's eyes only narrowed.

"My feelings for Imani grew ever since we first met. When she came to me the night you dumped her for Hikaru, all broken up, that was when I had realized my feelings for her".

Imani stared at Kaito, shocked.

"What about the age difference?" Hikaru asked curiously. "And don't you work at their school. I'm sure  the school board will not allow your relationship".

Kaito shook his head. "It doesn't matter. Imani is worth all of that. Unlike you Haru, I'm willing to keep Imani in my life through any hardship, even it cost me my job".

Hikaru held her cheeks and smiled widely, blushing. "You really do love her. How sweet!"

Imani let the tears trickle down her cheeks.

"Do what you want. Imani is no longer my girlfriend. She can date whoever she wants". Haru said, waving them off. He grabbed Hikaru's hand and led her away.

Hikaru looked back at Imani becoming very interested in her. "You can be a real asshole, you know that?" She told him.

Haru nodded his head. "I know".

"What was all the crap about being in love with me? Come on. That's not true. You still love her".

"Hikaru, I know alright, but this is really best for her. My father is the real asshole. He would not have stopped, until we were broken up and she was broken. I'm protecting her from my parents and from me".

"Oh Haru. It's a shame our parents are making us do this".

"It's alright. It was bound to happen. My parents are ruthless".

Hikaru placed a hand on his shoulder.

Imani dropped to her knees, more and more tears trickled down her face. Kaito kneeled down beside her and hugged her shoulders, trying to comfort her. He didn't say anything. He couldn't say anything. What words could he say that would help her? He just let her cried her heart out, until she couldn't cry anymore.

"I'm sorry, Kaito-sensei. I'm ruining our good night with all my crying". Imani apologized, sniffling.

Kaito shook his head. "Cry as much as you need to". He said, hugging Imani and allowing her to cry into his shirt. He rubbed her back up and down.

He sat down on the ground and cuddled Imani.

"Look, I know my confession came out of nowhere and it was shocking to you". He said, staring at the sky.

"I don't expect you to feel the same way. I just wanted you to kn...."

Imani cut him off by planting a soft kiss on his lips, catching him by surprise. He closed his eyes and hugged her waist tightly, not wanting to let her go.

"Thanks Kaito-sensei". Imani said, parting from him, smiling weakly.

"You told me that in order to get over a first love, you find others. Perhaps, in due time, I can grow to love you".

Kaito didn't let her go and dug his face into her shoulder. "I'm okay with that. That's good enough for me". He told her.
