You grabbed a taxi and headed for your house. When you arrived you saw Luz's car in your driveway. You got out of the taxi, paying the driver, and walked to the front door where Luz stood knocking.

   " Hey, Luz. What's up? "

   " Y/n, I thought you were home. "

She turned to you and you saw bruises lining her arms and neck. Her left cheek on her face had a cut that was in the middle of the cheek. Her eyes looked as if they were about to burst with tears. You set your bag down on the ground and hurried to her side. You pulled her into a hug and held her tightly.

" What happened to you? "

" My husband didn't take it well when I brought him the divorce papers. "

" Are you kidding me? I have half of my mind set on going over there and beating him myself. "

" Please don't. It's already been taken care of. "

   " How? "

" Once my lawyer saw that first bruise we brought it up quickly with the police and the judge. They agreed that my relationship isn't healthy and they agreed to letting us have a divorce. They gave me the papers for him to sign and when I brought them to him, he beat me and threw vases at me. I told the police and they arrested him and the judge made him sign the papers. "

   " So, he's in jail now? "

   " Yes, he is. "

" Good, that prick deserves to be there. "

" He does. I now go by Luz Green. "

Green was her last name before she had gotten married to her husband. She changed her name back to what it was originally because she didn't want to hold the title Mrs. Murray. You unlocked your door and gestured for her to go inside. She sat on the couch in your living room and you went to your kitchen to make some tea. When you walked into the kitchen you saw the vase of roses that sat there when you had left for the wedding.

Sitting beside the vase was a bouquet of flowers that sat in a beautiful wrap and bow on the counter. A new note was laying beside it. You didn't care at the moment about the note or the flowers, you cared about taking care of your best friend. You started making the tea and when it was finished you got two big cups and filled them until they were full. You carried the cups back to the livingroom where Luz was sitting.

You handed her one of the cups and she started drinking the tea, forgetting that it was steaming hot.

   " Ow! That's hot. "

" Well, I just made it. Let it cool for a couple of minutes and then you can drink it. "

   " Fine. "

" Have you found a new place to live? "

" I'm going to live with Carmen. She was with me when I went to get the papers signed and she saw what happened. She drove me back to her place and took care of me. She demanded I stay there from now on and I let her know where I'm going. "

   " She's trying to be cautious. "

" She is and I'm glad she cares. "

   " I'm sorry I wasn't here to help you. "

" It's fine. You had a wedding to go to. How was it by the way? "

" It was a nice wedding but after the wedding was over was when the chaos started. "

" Tell me all about it. "

So, you did. You told her about everything that happened. You started with the roses that appeared in your house and ended it with you leaving Scotty's pent house. Luz wasn't happy when she heard about what Scotty said to you.

   " I'm going to kill him! "

   " Luz, calm down. "

" I will not clam down! How could that bitch thing to say that to you! You tow slept together because he came on to you and he confessed saying he liked you while he was drunk. Then he tells you that he regrets it, that makes no sense at all and it sounds like he is playing you. I will not tolerate this! "

She got up and started marching to the door while you held her back. It wasn't that hard to keep Luz from leaving. She was as thin as a toothpick and as light as a feather. You brought her into the kitchen where she saw the new batch of roses and the note. She immediately got out of your hold and walked to the flowers, grabbing the note that was beside them.

She started reading it out loud to you,

Dear, love

I said a prayer for your body, only for it to be taken by another. You carry my love, only for your body to leave me. We are bound as one! We will be together through time! You can't leave nor get rid of me. As long as flowers grow you are mine. Only mine. We are one soul. We are one body. No one will stand defying our love. That I will make sure of.

Until next time my flower.

You Secret Admirer

" That sounds like someone insane. "

" It does and the flowers are different this time. "

" What are they usually? "

" Usually they're red roses but this time they're purple flowers. "

" Those are Heliotrope flowers. "

   " Are you sure? "

" I'm one-hundred percent sure. My mother always grows them when the summer hits. "

" Do you know what they mean? "

   " No, I don't. "

" I'll have to ask Malcolm tomorrow during my lunch break at work. "

' This is only getting worse. '
