Nothing seemed off when you went home and prepared yourself for the day. You showered and cleaned yourself up for the day. You went to the police station and filed a police report about the situation. They said they would scan and search around your rode more from now on and that was all they could do since there was no sign of a break-in. After that, you went straight to work.

Everything was normal at work until Luz walked into the office with sunglasses on. She walked to her desk without saying a word to you. You thought it seemed a little suspicious and you decided to talk to her later. When lunch break hit, you walked over to Luz's desk and patted her shoulder. She swiftly turned around and looked up at you, with her sunglasses still on.

   " Hi, Y/n. What can I do for you? "

   " I just wanted to talk about this morning. "

   " This morning? "

   " You're wearing sunglasses inside and you usually say good morning to everyone in the office. You didn't do that this morning. In fact, you walked off of the elevator with a frown on your face. What's going on? "

Luz stood up and took my hand. She rushed with me to the bathroom, slamming the door open to one of the stalls and slamming it behind us. She took off her sunglasses and I saw a bruise around her right eye. It was black and purple, ravaging her entire right eye. Luz looked like she was about to cry.

   " What happened to you? "

   " Mike came home early last night and I finally decided to talk to him about our marriage. I told him I wanted a divorce and he hit me. When he did I packed up my stuff and drove to Carmen's place. I'm sorry we couldn't help you by the way. "

   " It's fine, I found a place to stay. I can't believe Mike hit you! "

   " Yeah, but don't worry about it. I'm getting a divorce now no matter what. I already took a picture of my face to take him to court.  "

   " I hope you can get that divorce soon. "

   " Me too. I need to go, now. I'm meeting Carmen at a burger place. "

   " I understand. Go on ahead and meet with Carmen, tell her I said hello. "

   " I will. "

Luz walked away and you, quickly, walked back to your desk. You decided to skip your lunchbreak and continue working so you could get off at two. You worked quickly to finish your work and you were able to finish your work and leave early. You rode the elevator down to the first floor and left the building. You noticed Scotty walking down the street and you called out to him, he waved to you and joined you in walking.

   " So, where are you going? "

   " My sister has an appointment today at the flower shop. She wanted me to join her. Would you like to join us? "

   " Sure. "

You two walked to the flower shop and you saw your sister standing outside the shop with Jack, including a few more people. She was happy to see you and you walked inside the shop. Malcolm welcomed everyone to the shop and helped your sister look around at the flowers. You stayed with Scotty and looked around. He stood in the section of purple flowers.

   " Do you like purple flowers? "

   " The violets bring back an old memory. "

   " What memory? "

He became silent and stared at the flowers. You could see the sorrow play around in his eyes. Shadows clouded his eyes and you realized it wasn't a good memory. Scotty excused himself and left saying he had something he had to do. I only shook my head and walked to my sister.

   " Have you found anything yet? "

   " I'm thinking about honeysuckle or red chrysanthemums. "

   " They both sound like wonderful options. "

   " Thank you. What are those? "

Your sister walked to another section of flowers and you followed her. Malcolm watched you as you walked away but he noticed he wasn't the only one watching you. Another man was with the group and he was eyeing you up and down. Malcolm did not enjoy seeing this man look at you. He followed the group and continued to watch the male.

   ' I'll have to do something about this. '

Your sister found some flowers she liked and bought a lot of them. You joined her and Jack on a walk around the city along with getting dinner. Before Malcolm let the whole group go he called out to Jack.

   " Yes? "

   " Who is that guy right there? "

   " The guy in the suit? "

   " Yeah him. He has a small bald spot on the crown of his head. "

   " That's Sal. He works with me. Why? "

   " Oh, I just noticed that he was looking at some flowers over in the green section. I thought he could be a potential customer. "

   " Really? I'll give you his number then. "

   " Thank you, Jack. "

   " Not a problem. Thanks for helping me and my fiance. "

   " Anytime. Y/n is a great friend, so anything to help her or her family out. "

Jack nodded and wrote Sal's number down on a piece of paper. He thanked Malcolm once more and walked back to his fiance and future sister-in-law. The group left the shop and went to grab some dinner at a restaurant nearby.
