"As you wish."

***************

Silence.

I wondered hard if I should open my eyes, but- knowing the type of person Aaron was- I probably would open my eyes to see Aaron in a way that I was not prepared for.

I suddenly felt heat close to me and a hand on my shoulder.

"Open your eyes., Lexi" Aaron teased in a playful drawl and I shook my head wildly.

Aaron let out an airy laugh.

"What's to fear, Lexi? I'm your boyfriend. Everything here is for you." He joked.

"Move away, Aaron or.."

"Or what?" Aaron interrupted. I could almost feel his smirk as I thought.

"Or.. Or..." I stuttered.

"Or you'll hit me?" He questioned.

I nodded.

"Yeah. I'll hit you . Put your clothes on."

Aaron laughed yet again, clearly finding this situation amusing. I, on the other hand, felt like back handing him.

With my foot.

"I don't mind a little hit now and then as long as you touch me." He purred.

I felt myself blush wildly, which caused Aaron to laugh loudly. He moved closer, grabbing both my shoulders.

"You're so easy to mess with. I'm kidding. Open your eyes." He said between laughs.

Hesitantly, I opened my eyes, coming face to face with Aaron.

In his boxers.

He was smirking, his arms folded across his taught chest.

"See?" He said, splaying his arms out to show me his body and giving me a full 360.

"The boxers are still on, unfortunately" He joked, raising a slender eyebrow.

I feigned a frown.

"Oh, woe me."

He laughed, and I used the distraction to push him to the door again.

"Leave, Aaron. I'll see you in school tomorrow."

Aaron grinned widely, running back to the bed.

"I'm sleeping here for tonight." He beamed, crossing his arms behind his head.

I shook my head.

"You can't, Aaron."

He nodded in response.

"Yes, I can. The old man gave permission. I'm all yours for tonight." He said, biting his lip.

I dismissed the butterflies in my stomach, so I could focus on the shock.

My dad gave permission for Aaron to stay for the night?

My dad?

"What?" I said, my mouth shooting open.

Aaron nodded again.

"Yeah and close your mouth before I play a  game of beer pong." He said, waggling his eyebrows and I scowled at him before focusing on the matter at hand.

"My dad would not give permission to something like that." I mumbled more so to myself but Aaron heard and he made a hum of a noise.

"I thought the same, but he asked and who am I to pass up spending time with you?" He teased, his eyes glinting and I blushed slightly before scowling again.

"Well, permission or not, you aren't staying." I finalised, shooing him with a hand and Aaron smirked, leaning up on his elbows.

"Make me." He said challengingly and I gritted my teeth, not wanting to give him the satisfaction that he was successful in getting on my nerves. Concedingly, I huffed before moving to the door to go to the bathroom.

"Fine, but just don't get any nightmares and wake me up for comfort or something or I'll feed you to the neighbour's dogs." I warned, gesturing to the window for effect.

Aaron raised an eyebrow.

"Wake you up for comfort? How old do you think I am? 12?" He questioned.

I shook my head.

"With your immature attitude and irresistible baby pout, I wouldn't blame anyone who assumed you to be." I said, grabbing my facial washes.

Aaron sat still, his face deep in thought before a small smirk crept on his face.

"So, what I'm hearing is you find me irresistible?" He said.

Wow!

I sighed, not bothering to deign him a response and I left the room to go to the bathroom. He didn't call back for me and I took my time in the bathroom, praying that he had fallen asleep already. I changed into a simple shirt and sweatpants combo to sleep in, pulling my hair away from my face. This was the first time I had someone sleeping over and it was a male, so I was very anxious. We had slept over his house once, but it had all happened so fast for me to even comprehend it, but this was different. What had happened near the lake had made it different.

When I finished up, I came back, seeing Aaron on his phone. I shut the door before grabbing a pillow and moved towards the floor. Before I could reach, however, Aaron grabbed my arm.

"What are you doing?" He questioned, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Sleeping on the floor?" I said in a 'duh' tone.

Huh? This conversation seems somewhat familiar.

Aaron shook his head.

"No, you're not. You're sleeping on the bed." He said, pointing towards the bed. He walked towards me and grabbed the pillow.

"But.." I protested.

"No buts. You're on the bed." He ordered, dropping the pillow onto the bed.

I rolled my eyes.

Yep, this conversation is definitely déjà vu.

"I'm going to go to the bathroom." Aaron said and with that he was gone.

I sighed deeply. It seemed like I was doing a lot of that these days. Feeling tired, I dropped onto the bed, pulling the covers over me.

My eyes suddenly felt heavy. It was a long day.

An angry dad, an emotional mom and two dates in one night, I thought to myself.

Two dates? Were they both really dates? Well, I definitely knew one of them was.

Elliot liked me. I knew that. Why else would he try to kiss me? I guess, I could consider him inviting me to eat as a date.

Yet, Aaron didn't like me. He asked me out to eat merely as a token of gratitude for helping him and, that too, out of inconvenience by running into me in the streets. That's hardly a date. We also had that awkward moment in the water where he had told me to not kiss him. That wouldn't happen during a date.

I heard the bathroom door open, signalling that Aaron was out. I heard a little shuffling and then silence.

I sighed, feeling very tired. I closed my eyes, drifting off to a deep sleep.

Suddenly, an arm enclosed around my waist, making me let out a startled noise as I hit at whatever touched me.

"Woah! Woah! Easy on the face!" Aaron said, using his arms as defence.

Aaron? I had thought he had wanted to sleep on the floor just as before when he had told me he wouldn't sleep beside me.

"Aaron? What are you doing here?" I questioned, curiously.

Aaron looked at me blankly.

"Trying to get to sleep without being mauled by a rogue 5ft imp, but that's clearly not working out so well." Aaron stated, rubbing where I hit.

I slapped his arm again, making him yelp.

"Aaron, I'm serious. I thought you wanted to sleep on the floor." I asked curiously, not wanting to sound as though I was making him sleep there. It was just that I was confused.

Aaron furrowed his eyebrows.

"Can't I sleep here?" He questioned.

I shook my head.

"It's not that. It's just last time you slept on the sofa, so I thought.."

Aaron nodded slowly.

"Yeah, well, last time things were different." Aaron stated seriously, but I frowned, not knowing what he meant.

"What?" I questioned.

Aaron waved his hand around dismissively.
"Forget about it. I'm tired." He said, snuggling his head into the pillow.

I cooed internally at the sleeping figure. He looked like a little kitten.

His eyes were closed and he looked so peaceful, his lashes beautifully long; contrasting with his tanned face. His nose sharp, just like his jaw and his lips- so full and firm. They stood out on his face:- full and dark pink.

"I've been thinking about our class together tomorrow." Aaron suddenly spoke, his eyes still shut.

I broke out of my daze, eyeing to see if he caught me staring.
"Y-yeah. And?" I asked nervously, letting out a sigh of relief when his eyes stayed closed.

"And, nothing. I've just never sat near you in any class." He commented randomly and I scoffed, leaning into the pillow.

"Yeah, that and the fact that you just point-blank haven't come sometimes, Romeo." I teased, referring to the times where Aaron would miss the first period to play hooky with some random girl.

His eyes snapped open at this, the glimmering blue seemingly glowing in the dark. I watched curiously as his jaw clenched slightly at my words just like he had done when I had asked teased him about how many girlfriends he had.

"Yeah, I guess." He said simply, but the look in his eyes was anything but simple. I looked to him with a calculating gaze, trying to figure him out.

"What's up?" I asked gently and he looked to me curiously for a moment before sighing.

"I guess my reputation proceeds me." He commented, speaking about the assumptions I had made about him being so involved with females. I shook my head apologetically at his words.

"I'm so sorry for assuming tha-" I began, but Aaron stopped me with a huff.

"I can't really blame you if it's correct, can I?" He asked rhetorically and I stopped in my tracks at his words, frowning.

"And you don't like that?" I asked tentatively to which he shook his head.

"I want to stop." Was all that he said and when I looked to him for further explanation, he ran a hand through his hair, looking to the ceiling. My gaze lingered slightly on his biceps before flickering back to his face.

"I made a really bad habit over the last habit because of some shit that happened, but I want to stop." He said and my mind travelled to what Raven had told me about Avalon. I nodded in understanding, knowing that information was all he was going to give me.

"Well, whatever you wanna do, your fake girlfriend is here to help you." I teased and he smiled, his eyes cat-like against the dark.

"I'm going to do something tomorrow and I want you to be okay with it." He commented simply and my eyebrows furrowed at his words, wondering what he was talking about. I opened my mouth to ask, but a yawn escaped before I could and I looked to him sheepishly. He merely let out a laugh before settling down.

"You're tired, get some sleep, Lexi." He instructed and I nodded, my eyes drooping heavily at the mention of sleep.

"Night, Aaron." I said gently, turning around.

I felt an arm slowly slither around my waist.

"Aaron!" I warned.

"For warmth?" Aaron meekly suggested.

I tutted, but- nevertheless- the grin didn't leave my face. I closed my eyes, drifting off to the deep sleep that was interrupted before.

The last thing I felt was a hand stroke my cheek.

"Night, princess" I heard Aaron whisper and, with that, I went to sleep with a smile.

No thoughts about what was to happen tomorrow.
