Friendship isn't about who you've known the longest, it's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you," and PROVED it. -Unknown

There are friends, there is family, and then there are friends that become family - Unknown

It had been two weeks since the incident that happens back in the woods where Diana had spotted an incredible sight of a three-tail fox and letting Adrain mark her as his, however, a ceremony must be placed to announce Diana as the dragon queen. So far, the ceremony will be held in two days with more guards posted around every perimeter of the castle. Diana was sitting on her bed looking through files of now completed assignments that were due the next morning.

"I wish homework was illegal. That way I wouldn't hate college so much." Diana sighed placing her laptop and printed essays in her bag.

Adrain stepped into the room chuckling at his little rose for complaining about her assignments that he knew Diana secretly loved doing the work.

"Don't you chuckle at me!" Diana pouted falling back onto her pillow.

"I can't help it my little rose. You're being too cute." Adrian said coming over to Diana sitting by her and him cresses her cheek looking at her lovingly.

Diana blushed more shades of red then she ever has in her entire life. Leaning into his soft touch, Diana leaned up and cupping Adrian by the cheek and giving him a short but sweet kiss. Before she could pull away Adrain growled grabbing the back of Diana's neck making the kiss last longer. Before Adrain could do any more the door was slammed open entering Owen.

"Sorry, but I'm also not sorry for interrupting what could have been a heated moment between you two," Owen smirked causing Diana to quickly push away from Adrain and hide under the covers now embarrassed.

However, that interruption did not sit well with Adrian as he shot Owen a one deadly death glare that would but the alpha king to shame. No good will ever come to those who dare to cock block the king of dragons.

"You better have a good explanation for interrupting," said Adrian in a low dark menacing voice. His voice was so scary that it scared even Adrian himself.

Even with a cool face, Owen was shaking a little clearing his throat.

"I do actually. The vampire queen is on the phone. She wishes to have a word with you."

Adrian groaned. "What could she want?"

"I don't know. Why don't you go find out on the phone." Owen said making Diana laugh from under the covers.

"Go and see what she wants love. I'll be heading to bed early. I do have classes in the morning." Diana explained.

With a defeated sigh Adrain kissed Diana on the forehead saying goodnight before taking his leave with Owen bowing farewell to Diana following Adrian out the room.

Once they left the room Diana changed into her pajamas then got out her clothes for the morning. Doing this has always helped Diana save time in the morning, unlike her sister who takes a century to find one good outfit when she has so many clothes. The number of clothes that Amora has can fill up the pool to the top. With one last check, Diana went to sleep for the morning to come.

Diana's P.O.V.

"Are you ready for classes to begin Diana?" Bell asked seeing as how she can feel Diana wanting to go back to the palace and sleep longer with Adrain in which Bell did not mind, but school is important to get out of the way.

"Yeah, I am. Just taking the limo to school is a bit much don't you think?" I asked looking out the side window to see many students looking as I step out. From the corner of my eye, I can see my sister looking at me with deep jealousy. It's best to avoid her.

I get to my class and sit in the far back because my entrance with the limo now has the whole campus talking! Damn it, Adrian! I knew having him convince me to take the limo was a bad idea!

"You alright there my queen?"

Snapping back to reality I see Megan sitting next to me with an amused look on her face. Wait! Why is Megan in my class?!

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Well my queen, if you had bothered to pay attention to some of your classmates then you would have known I been in this class since the start of the semester," Megan replied.

I gave an irritated smile. "Why didn't you say anything before!"

Megan smiled sitting back in her seat. "Because seeing this reaction of you my queen is way worth it!"

Seeing how this is going I know I have no chance of winning in this conversation.

"I also want to be good friends with you, Diana."

I looked at Megan surprised. Does she want to be my friend? Is she being serious right now? I never had a friend so I wouldn't know.

"Do you want to be my friend just because I am your queen?" I asked coldly. Sure, I'm being rude, but it's better than being played. I don't want a friend who just sees me as an opportunity to get in Adrain's good graces. I have seen this happen with my sister. There only friends with her just because she's popular. I want a real friend, not a fake one.

"What do you having being my queen have to do with being my friend. I could care less if you're a queen or some maid. I want to be your friend because your cool and not fake like others I know." Megan explained.

Whoa...I didn't expect that response. Now I feel bad I was cold!

"I'm sorry Megan. I didn't mean to be cold."

"Hey, no worries. I completely understand. So. Want to be friends?"

I smiled. "I would love that."

After class Megan and I thought it is a good idea to check out this new ice cream shop that just open. Before we left the campus, our path was blocked by none other than my sister.

"What do you want Amora?" I don't have time for her!

"Don't act all high and mighty just because the dragon king is your mate." Amora sneered.

My poor ears! Damn her voice is just so horrible. It's like nails on a chalkboard! May the moon goddess have mercy on whoever is her future mate!

"Diana just says the word and I can kill her. Trust me I'll be doing you and this planet a favor." Megan said.

Not a bad idea, but I really can't sink that low.

"I have to agree with Megan here." Winter jumped in.

"Bad Winter!" I shouted.

"No Megan. Let's just ignore her. She's not worth our time." I proceeded to walk past Amora with Megan following behind until my sister just had to push it by grabbing my arms digging her nails deep in.

"Don't you walk away from me! We are talking here!" Amora shouted grabbing onlooker's attention.

That's it! I have had enough of her bullshit! Using every bit of my straight that I had. I grabbed Amora by the neck throwing her across the campus grounds. Amora hit the ground hard knocking the air out of her. I slowly walked over to her kneeling at her level. My eyes glowing gold.

"We are going to settle this once and for all. I'll see you back at the packhouse where I will show you to never mess with me again!"
