It was now the day of the baby shower where all the servants were scattered around the castle and garden back and forth with Stella telling every servant where to place all the flowers and food. There was even a big table for the guests to place the gifts.

Diana was in her room getting ready with the help of her maids. Diana wore a long, spaghetti-strapped light blue dress with a white floral pattern. Her hair is put up in a long, curled high ponytail with a braid around the top it. The straightened bangs are slightly brushed to the right, with several loose curled strands hanging on each side. For shoes a pair of sandy blueish-white, thick-soled flip-flops. Last but not least two light blue flowers with a light green leaves hair clip.

"You beautiful my queen." One of the maids told Diana as she bowed in respect to her queen.

Diana blushed saying thank you to the maid as she did another look in the mirror to see herself in the full-length mirror. At this point, Diana never thought her life would come to this. Becoming the mate to the dragon king. Making new friends along the way and now caring for the first dragon wolf hybrid. Even now the growth rate for this soon to be child makes Diana's belly looks like she is 7 months pregnant. This growing to her baby did freak her out, but Stella and the royal doctor told her that this was normal for those who would birth a mixed race.

Diana had heard of a story of a she-wolf who is mated to a merman and as expected their child was half wolf and half merfolk. There was even talk of a girl named Melody who is a mermaid and she is mated to Darren the beta of the Midnight Rain Pack. It was told they are expecting a child soon. Diana then remembered that the alpha of the Midnight Rain Pack Sean Bellaire is also expecting his first child with his mate Serenity who she had met not too long ago.

"My queen, the king requests for you to meet him out in the garden with his family. Many of the guests have started to arrive."

Diana thanked the maid before leaving room to meet up with her mate. Once she got there, she noticed how well dressed Adrain looked. His midnight-black hair combed nicely back. His black-tie suite looking dashing as ever.

"Our mate is just perfect," Bell said purring with delight.

Diana blushed agreeing with Bell making her way over with Adrain wrapping an arm around her waist.

"You look stunning my little rose."

"Why thank you. You don't look too bad yourself."

Adrain smirked. "I may not be reading your mind but the look on your face and eyes can tell me you were undressing me."

It was at this moment Diana blushed fifty shades of red. Adrain's parents smiling at them both. Adrain leads Diana out to meet with many of the guests. Diana looked around to see any sign of her family, but no trace of them was found. She had begun to wonder if they would ever show up. Adrain could feel his mate's emotions and knew she was saddened. Diana truly wanted her family to be here. The rest of the day went on with Diana meeting many alphas and lunas. Other members of the royal family.

What shocked Diana was the presents that overfilled the table in which the servants had to bring two more big tables to the presents that didn't keep falling to the ground. Owen and Melody were talking with some friends.

Diana felt she needed to take a break from it all and decided to pay a visit to the rose pavilion.

"I'm going to look at the roses. I'll be right back." Diana said to Adrain.

"Alright. Just don't go too far."

Adrain kissed Diana on the cheek before she went off to the rose pavilion. As Diana enters her rosy garden where the pavilion was, she took in a deep breath to smell the roses that filled the air. There she notices a man who is looking at the roses and smelling them. She approaches the man with him quickly noticing.

"Oh. Hi. Sorry if I am intruding. I'm one of the florists that brought in the flowers for the baby shower. I happen to notice this beautiful rose garden and couldn't help but take in its beauty." the man said.

Diana gave a small smile. "Yes, the roses are beautiful."

The man pulls out a rose Diana had never seen before. It was almost admirable to look at. A rose the color of the rainbow.

"This is a rainbow rose. If you smell it each peddle has a different scent." The man held out the rose for Diana to smell. "Would you like to smell for yourself?"

Diana was amazed and was now curious to know if the peddles did have a different scent. She got close to smell the rose when a strange mist came from the rose. The mist had a powerful smell that made Diana dizzy. Before she knew it, she had fainted into the man's arms. The last thing Diana can remember is seeing a young child in the far corner of her eye running off before everything went black.

Adrain had finished talking to most of the royal court that happen to come by and give him their best wishes to him and the future king. Some didn't feel right to Adrain and even his dragon Drago was feeling now concerned. Adrain decided to look for Diana until he and everyone heard a young girl running in a panic.

"Help! Help!! Someone has kidnapped the queen!!"

At that moment everything went silent. Adrian's heart began to pound so loud that everyone could hear it. Megan grabbed the young girl.

"Little tell us what happen?"

The young girl catches her breath before speaking.

"I was wandering around the garden looking for my doll when I saw the queen talking with some man. He took out a colorful flower and had the queen smell it. Then I saw a strange mist come out of the flower making the queen fall asleep. I ran back here to tell you."

"Everyone this is an order! Stop what you are doing and help find the queen!" Owen shouted. "My king we need to go. They may not have gotten far."

Adrain was livid. How could he let his mate and his unborn child fall into such dangers? With no time to waste Adrain shifted into his dragon along with other members joining in. Many alphas joining in shifting into their wolves to help find Diana.

Taking to the skies Adrain looked all over to find Diana hoping she hadn't been hurt in any way or there will be blood spilled. After about ten minutes have passed Adrain saw a huge field with Diana right in the middle. He flew down to land shifting back to his human side running to Diana swopping her into his arms tightly. He checked her body to make sure she had no injuries.

"Diana!" Adrain shouted tapping her face lightly to wake her up. Even shaking her a little to wake her up faster.

Diana groaned slowly opening her eyes to see a very panicked but relieved Adrain holding her in his arms.

"W-what happen?"

"You don't remember being kidnapped?" Adrain asked?

"Kidnapped? The only thing I can remember was this rose and child running."

Before more could be said Adrain felt the presence of bloodthirsty rogues and hunters coming from out of the woods with the rouges fangs out growling. The hunters holding their weapons ready to attack.

Adrain knew what was happening.

"This was a trap..."
