"Everyone ready?"

Tension filled the entire room.

Namjoon leaned against the door, facing everyone. "This is our last chance if any of us want to turn back."

"We're going together and that's final," Taehyung declared. He was bright-eyed and bushy tailed now, unlike the practically drunk, drooling guy from yesterday.

Today was the day (or night I should say) that we were all going to meet up at the tower. Today was going to either succeed and I'd be back on Earth within a few hours, or I'd be stuck in Itzborough for who knew how long.

"Where's Yoongi hyung?" Hoseok called as everyone shifted restlessly.

"Here!" A voice called and the purple-haired demon indeed appeared and...

"Yoongi, put down Holly you're not taking him," Namjoon groaned. "We can't bring a dog with us!"

"I'm not leaving Holly here are you crazy?" Yoongi snapped, carrying the dog in his arms. I'd totally forgotten the creature that had scared the wits out of me earlier upon my arrival had existed.

Said dog barked.

"We're all going to die aren't we?" Jin sighed heavily. The eldest hyung was bent forward slightly as he carried a barely conscious Jungkook on his back.

"Everyone stay together understand?" Namjoon ordered. "Be on high alert. It should take us less than an hour to get there. A lot can happen though."

I swallowed hard and glanced at everyone around me. A sense of finality rushed over me as Namjoon finally opened the front door and everyone silently filed out of the doorway.

We all set off at a brisk pace and I could sense the grave atmosphere around signaling that the other members were feeling a sense of finality themselves as they left behind their house.

Jimin beside me was looking directly ahead, not daring to look over his shoulder for one final glimpse of the house.

The night seemed eerily silent even as we approached the city. I could see the lights and several demons meandering around. Yet no noise could be heard it felt.

I didn't know how long we were travelling. Namjoon lead us on the outskirts of the city, not daring to actually step into city limits themselves. The surroundings around me became more unfamiliar than ever.

Our progress remained fairly speedy even with Jin holding Jungkook. At one point, we did pause and Taehyung let Jin get a break by putting the maknae on his own back.

"There it is," Yoongi announced after some time had passed. He shifted Holly who'd been pretty quiet and pointed.

Indeed, a tall, dark tower rose beyond us. At the sight, a new vigor settled upon everyone and we picked up our pace. My heart seemed to be racing in my chest, pressure coiling in me as if a snake.

My legs were tiring but adrenaline pumped through me as we drew closer and closer to the tower. Finally, we were at the point where we could see the entrance.

Only a bit more...

Abruptly the entrance of the tower snapped open and everyone skidded to a halt in surprise as an unfamiliar figure stepped out. Immediately Namjoon flung out his arms, pushing everyone back a little.

"You are Bangtan I assume?" the unfamiliar figure called.

Dim light spilled from the doorway behind him, obscuring this newcomer's features a little. But I could see a glimpse that this new demon had red hair.

"You assume correctly," Namjoon answered cautiously.

"Sakura said you guys were coming," the person stepped out more into the night, clearing his features.

Shock slammed into me as I recognized him.

"You're the demon I saw!" I blurted out just as Yoongi almost dropped Holly yelling, "You're the guy I punched!"

"Wait, what?" Namjoon whirled around and stared at both Yoongi and I. "You've seen this guy before, Y/N? And Yoongi... you've punched this guy before?"

"Yeah! He was snooping around our house a while ago," Yoongi managed to regain his grip on Holly and jabbed an accusing finger at the man. "I caught him watching the house when the Immortal Crimsons came and he caught sight of Y/N!"

This red-hair demon was the one I'd seen all the way back when hiding in the pantry. "That was the same time I saw him!" I gaped. "I was hiding in the pantry and... wait, what do you mean you punched him though?"

"If he saw you, you were probably compromised, I tried knocking him out!"

"You tried?"

"It didn't work. He took one hit and then scrambled away," Yoongi's face into a sulky face. "And I was too lazy to try and run after him. He was too fast."

Through the entire exchange the red-haired demon who'd spotted me all those weeks ago just quietly and patiently waited for us to be through. Namjoon and the rest looked utterly lost.

"My name is Sejin," the red-haired demon finally spoke again calmly. "An I'm here to escort you to the Shadowseer before midnight which means we need to climb thirty flights of stairs in under two minutes."

"And now I want a holy bolt of lightning to sizzle me on the spot," Yoongi groaned. "Can't you see we're handicapped? How the heck are we—"

"Now a minute and 58 seconds."

"Let's go," Namjoon reluctantly said. His face obvious he wanted more answers but there was no time.

1 minute and 57 seconds later...

"I... think...I just burned... 58 pounds..." Jin wheezed as everyone painfully dragged themselves off the last flight of stairs.

A single door was before us. Eerie lights shimmered below it and something I hadn't heard for so long could be vaguely made out: club music.

"The overlap of the dimensions has already begun," Sejin announced. "We have to hurry." He rushed over to where a half-dead Taehyung was shakily just managing to keep Jungkook on his back and helped grab the maknae.

I wanted nothing more to just sit down and take a 7 year hibernation in the softest bed on earth. My muscles were all yelling profanities at me for straining them so hard.

Jimin winced a little. He was trying to act strong and the moment he realized my eyes were on him he tried to straighten back his shoulders and walk normally.

Only one of his knees gave in and he all but slammed into the wall.

Somehow, all nine of us entered through the door.

Despite my agony my jaw fell open slightly as indeed, beyond the door loud pounding music thrummed through the room. And something even better: humans.

Regular human women were all around with regular human men, all of them dancing around hardly noticing us sweaty, crazy-haired people's entrance. Black lights, red, green, blue, and purple lights swept across the room.

"This way," Sejin called to us, voice just barely to be heard over the music.

"What is this?" Jimin breathed in shock as he sidled up to my side and stared around with huge eyes.

"Welcome to Earth," I murmured back. Something in my heart was beginning to flutter in joy. So close. So close to getting back home.

Sejin lead us through pressing crowds. Part of me wanted to stop and just try and mingle with humans, back with where I belonged. But of course, time was key.

"Here," Sejin motioned to a brand new door.

Somehow we all fell behind Namjoon so he was in front. Hesitating for the briefest of moments Namjoon opened the door.

Beyond the door it was large and almost like a study office room. A large desk was set up in the middle of the room where a regular, very much human-looking person sat at.

He was stocky, slightly shorter than all the Bangtan members but a good head taller than me. He wore round wire-rimed glasses, and was dressed in a nice suit.

"This is the Shadowseer?" Taehyung looked uncertainly at Sejin as the red-haired gently continued to support Jungkook.

The man stood up, a smile spreading across his face. "You got it kiddo. But please, don't refer to me as a Shadowseer. That's much too grand of a name. My name is Bang Si-Hyuk."
