Third Person's POV

"Dude I can't believe it!"

"Did you pay her or something? There's no frickin way!!"

"Is she actually coming here?"

"Tanaka you bastard! How the hell did you get a girlfriend before me? Much less any of us??"

The last question, from Kinnoshita by the way, had the rest of the team glaring at poor Ryuu who was still a blushing mess and just staring love struck at his phone.

"But I don't get it. What did Tanaka senpai being upset have to do with his girlfriend?" Shoyo, the poor confused boy questioned. Ryuu himself answered this one.

"Fukurodani's 3rd years had exams this past month so Y/n and I haven't exactly been able to see each other as much. I didn't realise my sadness was so visible. I'm really sorry for worrying you guys there."

"That still doesn't explain how you managed to score a girl. A THIRD YEAR GIRL from FUKURODANI!!" Narita dropped his input, the others just nodding along with small 'mhms.'

"Well you see...

~Flashback Begins~

"I'll see you guys next week!" Ryuu from a few months ago exited the Karasuno gym after a late Friday practice. The others already wished him farewell so nothing stopped him from carrying on.

'I wonder if Saeko can order us pizza and we can watch a movie. It's bee a while since we've done stuff like that. Bonding and crap I guess.'

He was snapped out of his thoughts by the sound of someone revving and engine right next to him, causing him to jump nearly 10 feet into the air.

"Oh ha ha sorry about that. I didn't mean to startle you like that." A girl? It was hard to tell with the helmet muffling their voice but it sure sounded like it.

"O-oh heh nah it's all good. I guess I just wasn't paying attention." By now he'd stopped to fully face the person who sat atop the black and silver Harley. They wore what looked to be a school shirt and jeans and a jacket though he couldn't tell the school.

"That doesn't sound too safe. Especially since these roads are pretty busy around this time of night. Speaking of which, you're in high school right? Why on earth are you out here so late?"

"I was just heading back from- hey wait a minute I don't have to tell you that! You're a complete stranger. You could be a predator for all I know!"

"You're right. I am a stranger. How about we change that hm?" The person then removed their helmet to reveal a girl. Holy shit she was beautiful. Heck, more so than Kiyoko. Her h/c h/l now a bit matted down from the helmet still looked well kept, her s/t skin practically glowed with the street lamps above. Those full lips, mesmerizing e/c eyes...he was getting ahead of himself now.

"Nice to meet you. My name is Y/n L/n and I'm a 3rd year at Fukurodani Academy."

"O-oh crap you're my senpai. Ah I'm Tanaka Ryuunosuke, a 2nd year of K-Karasuno high. N-nice to meet you too, L/n s-senpai." An adorable chuckle escaped those plump, kissable lips. Her voice was sweet like honey and he just couldn't get enough.

"You don't really need to address me like that. Though I won't stop you if you insist on doing it. Y/n-Chan would be just fine with me." He only nodded, not trusting his voice to not make a fool out of himself.

"So Tanaka-san. Do you live nearby? I'm heading in the direction you're walking so I don't mind giving you a ride home. If you're not afraid of bikes that is.." A ride? With this goddess? She was actually offering to take someone like him home. His heart all but swelled in his chest as he nodded quickly. Another short laugh.

"Good thing I got my extra helmet then. Hope on." She tossed him the other red helmet which he fumbled to catch, trying his hardest to not drop it and or embarrass himself...more.

"I-I live a couple of blocks, not too far. If it's no trouble." He slowly climbed on behind her, a bit nervous as it was his 1st time ever being on one of these.

'This is so freakin' cool. Just wait till I tell Saeko and the others about this.'

"Yeah it's all good. Just grab onto me when you're ready and tuck you're feet in."

Grab onto her? O-Oh. He looked down to her waist, where he was expected to hold onto in order to not fly off the vehicle. Gulping down his fears and nerves, his hands shakily made their way to wrap loosely around her waist before her own hands pulled them to grab on tighter.

"Alright let's go. Just tell me where."

And off they went, Ryuu happily gazing around at the lights that flashed as they zoomed through the not too busy streets. He instructed her at every turn and she reacted with a nod each time. Very responsive.

All too soon they stopped in front of his house.

"This is it right?" A nod from Tanaka. He proceeded to climb off then removed the helmet to pass it back to her.

"Well I hope I see a cute face like yours again. Oh! Hand me your phone," The poor boy would have collapsed right then and there if it wasn't for the fact that he didn't want to make a further fool out of himself. He reached into his pocket and handed her the phone(though nearly dropping it) and watched as she typed something.

"There. Make sure you keep in touch with me okay? I'll see you later Ryuu. Goodnight."

Ba-dump! Ba-dump!

She used his first name. She considered them close enough to use them. He could only wave to her as she continued on her way. Before heading inside, he took a quick glance at the phone in his hand. There, as soon as he looked, was a new contact that made his knees weak.

The next day

~Flashback Continues~

It was now the next morning. Except..

'Did last night actually happen? Did I really meet her or was that a dream?'

Quickly grabbing the phone from where it lay charging next to him, he hurriedly opened it and scrolled to the contacts. And there it was. Senpai~<3 She was real. That all happened. She called him cute. Maybe she liked him back? No. She was probably just being nice...

'Should I text her? She said she wanted to see me again...maybe?' He did. He sent her quick good morning text and all but thew his phone when the reply was almost instant

Hey yeah it is. Are you psychic?

He wanted to kick himself in the brain for that. That was so frickin dumb!

He contemplated a heart at the end but didn't want to seem desperate. She was probably only putting them to be nice. At least, that's what he thought. Then again, she'd called him cute again so maybe it was possible she did in fact like him in that way? He'd have to find out. And there were 2 ways. Ask her directly, which he wouldn't, or ask another girl. Maybe Saeko?

He got up out of bed and proceeded to get himself ready for the day. A message came through again and he dived for the phone only to be somewhat disappointed to see it was only Noya.

Rolling Thunder

Huh? Did we plan something today?

Rolling Thunder

Did you forget the practice match we have today against Nekoma? You got like 20 minutes dude!"

Saitama

ARE YOU SERIOUS!?

Holy shit that was today? Oh that was right. They talked about it before he left last night. It seems that other....events preoccupied his mind then. Daichi was going to kill him.

He rushed down to find Saeko half out the door keys in hand.

"Saeko wait!" He asked her to drop him off before she went out for her shopping which she obviously agreed to, though with a little scolding that he forgot in the first place. Now here they were on the road, 17 minutes left until he was deemed late.

"What's got your mind so jumbled today huh Ryuu?" Obviously he's forgotten things before. That was normal for everyone, especially Ryuu. But when it came to volleyball, he usually tried his best to keep up with everything, especially things like practice matches and games.

"O-oh right. I wanted to talk to you about that. You see...there's this girl-" She cut him off immediately, looking over at him with eyes shining with curiosity.

"A girl? Who is she? What school? Does she go to Karasuno? A 2nd year like you? When did you meet her?" The questions just kept coming one after the other until he finally got her calmed down enough so he could explain.

"Her name is Y/n L/n and no she goes to Fukurodani. She's also a 3rd year so she's my senpai. I met her last night actually."

"Last night? Wait a minute. IS SHE WHO YOU WERE ON THAT MOTORCYCLE WITH LAST NIGHT!?"

"YOU SAW THAT!?"

"Of course I did. You were right outside the house!"

"Well, yes that was her. Saeko she's so frickin cool! And she calls me cute. She even gave me her number and puts hearts at the end of some of her texts to me. Do you think she likes me back? You think I might have chance with a girl as awesome and gorgeous as her?"

Saeko Tanaka had never, not once seen her brother this wiped. Sure he had his little crush or maybe admiration for the team's female manager Kiyoko. She'd often heard him callthe girl a goddess and profess his love for her but never had she seen the look he had on his face as he talked about the girl he met last night.

Her little brother was truly in love. And by the sound of it, he fell pretty damn hard.

"Well, if she's flirting with you and calling you cute then yeah I'd say she likes you. You really like this girl huh Ryuu?" He only nodded, blush now covering his face, reaching to the tips of his ears. Saeko smiled. She'd let this play out. But whoever Y/n L/n was had better not be playing with her brother's feelings or else that girl had hell to pay for it.

(Somewhere, at a nearby cafe, a certain h/c haired girl sneezed. Was someone talking about her?)

Finally they made it to Karasuno, Ryuu quickly thanking his sister for the ride and the talk before he hurried inside...only to be met by an absolutely furious Daichi and a concerned Suga.

"WHERE ON EARTH HAVE YOU BEEN? YOU'RE 12 MINUTES LATE!" Poor Ryuu was now bowing repeatedly, begging his angry captain for forgiveness. It didn't work though as he was now punished with doing dive receives.

"Why are you so late anyways?"

"O-oh I didn't remember the match was today. I'm only here because Noya texted me and Saeko dropped me off."

"Saeko-neesan was here?" Noya now looked a bit sad that he couldn't see her but Ryuu offered him a ride back with her when she came to retrieve him which had the libero back to his happy self.

The practice match went by for the next few hours, both teams giving their all until it ended with Nekoma taking the win. They continued practice with the other team until it was about 5p.m.

"Hey Tanaka your phone is ringing." Suga called out to him from where he stood across the gym. Thinking it was probably his sister calling to see if he was done, he slowly jogged over to where his bag was. Oh how wrong he was. He answered without looking at the caller and was shocked to hear a familiar voice.

"Well hello there." Fuck it was her. His face now blew up with red coating as he struggled to find words to answer her.

"Hey. Uh. Gimme a sec." he turned around to see none of the team looking over in his direction but quickly told Suga he was stepping outside for a bit. The mother hen shooed him off, though not without telling him to be careful.

"Did I interrupt something there?"

"O-oh nono not at all. I just uh finished a volleyball practice match with the team from Nekoma."

"Oh you play volleyball? That's cool. I know a few of the guys from the team at my school. Maybe next time you play against us I'll come watch and see your moves."

"Y-yeah that sounds cool. Oh uh did you wanna t-talk to me about something?"

"Hm? Oh right. Let's go on a date tomorrow."

Sunday

"Oh fuck. Shit! Goddammit!!" Well he seems great. Saeko listened as her brother cussed and crashed, trying to get ready for his date that happened in the next hour or so. The poor boy was struggling and rushing, no doubt having woken up a few minutes ago.

"Ryuu calm down you have an hour to get ready!" The shower turned on and what seemed like another thud was heard as he most likely fell again. Hopefully he was fine and wouldn't be walking out of the house concussed.

"This needs to go well Nee-san. What if I fuck something up and she stops talking me. What if I do something that causes her to hate me or something?"

His self esteem was really shining through huh..not.

"I'm sure you'll be fine Ryuu. Plus, if se likes you enough to ask you on a date I'm sure there's no way that even you can mess this up. You might even get a girlfriend by the end of this."

Her words seemed to work as no more crashes took place. The girl shook her head with a silent laugh as she proceeded to enter his room to pick an outfit she thought would look nice. She settled on a black and white AC/DC T-shirt as well as some blue jeans and a skull hoodie. Ryuu walked in to see his sister there and thanked her profusely for helping before shoving her out of the room so he could get dressed.

Just then, a knock came from the door followed by a scream from the boy upstairs. Oh dear. She probably heard that if that's her.

It was. When Saeko opened the door she was met by a girl that matched her brother's description. H/l h/c hair, bright e/c eyes yep. She wasn't dressed in 'fancy' date attire. In fact, the clothes she wore were quite similar to what Saeko picked for Ryuu. Black jeans with a P!ATD shirt and a white hoodie across her arm. Behind her, the Harley was parked in front of the house.

"I take it you're Y/n?"

"Yep that'd be me. Nice to meet you. I'm guessing you're Ryuu-kun's sister?"

"You got it. My name's Saeko, nice to meet you. Do you wanna come in and wait till he's done? He's a bit of a nervous mess." A giggle came from the younger girl as she accepted the invite and entered.

"You want anything or waiting until the date?"

"Got any f/s(fav snack)?" A nod before the blonde retrieved the snack, tossing it to the younger who ate it happily.

"So. What's gonna happen tonight?"

"I'm taking him on a ride to this cafe I really like. I'm always there and it's pretty special to me so I thought, Why Not? It'd be nice."

"Just have him back safe and sound. And not too late. You both have school tomorrow."

"You got it boss." The two girls laughed and chatted a bit more until Ryuu finally made his way down.

"Well look at you Ryuu all dressed up. Wait lemme get a picture!"

"Saeko this isn't prom you know!!"

"It's your first date dummy I have to get pics!" He blushed at such a secret being revealed. Would Y/n think of him as inexperience now that she knew this was his first ever date. He turned to look up at her due to him being a bit shorter(if you're shorter than him, you're taller now. Superior) to find her smiling back warmly. Guess she didn't mind.

"Well you two better be off. Remember not too late. And no alcohol even if Y/n is 18!"

"Got it sis. Later."

The two hopped on to the bike, helmets on before speeding away. Saeko looked at them until they were out of a her sight a fond smile resting on her face as she recalled how they looked at each other without either one noticing.

"Yeah. Those two are soulmates or something."

The Date

The ride to wherever they were going was long and quiet, though it was a comfortable silence. He was afraid of suddenly speaking and startling her into crashing and possibly killing them both...wow...not exactly date thoughts.

"So how's school? I don't really know much about your life and I figured we'd talk on the way there."

"O-oh school is fine. Well, I'm not really the best in classes but I gotta keep working if I wanna continue doing volleyball. It's like my favourite thing to do."

"Yeah? Well if you ever need help with school, I'm always around. Tell me about volleyball then. What got you so into it? What's your team like?"

This was probably the first time anyone had ever taken such a genuine interest in his life. Usually they'd ask one thing and when he answered, the topic was switched to their life entirely. This was a really nice change for him as it let him talk a bit about himself.

"Well I've been playing since around elementary school. It's always been something I really love doing. I've never really thought about doing anything else. My teammates at Karasuno are pretty cool. We got Daichi the captain and Sugawara our vice captain. They're 3rd years along with Asahi who's our ace. The 2nd years are Narita, Kinnoshita, Ennoshita, Noya and well me. Noya's our libero by the way. We got some really crazy 1st years though.

There's this kid named Hinata and he really looks up to the little giant. He's got amazing jump power. Him and the other one Kageyama have this wicked cool quick. Kageyama is like this genius setter. It's honestly pretty scary.

Then we have the sarcastic asshole Tsukkishima. He's really tall and he's a pretty good middle blocker. He's always with Yamaguchi who's also on the team. He's learning different serves so he can catch up to the other 1st years. They're all pretty great in my opinion."

Y/n only listened attentively while steering them through the other vehicles. She could just imagine the smile on his face as she heard it in his voice while he spoke so highly of his teammates.

"You all seem pretty close. How about your games?"

"Ah we're really practicing a lot these days. We really wanna make it to nationals so everyone's been working their asses of. It'll all be worth it in the end though. I know we can do it."

"Mhm. I'm sure you guys will do fantastic. We're here by the way." With all his talking, Ryuu never realised they'd been parked the past 3 minutes though not once did she stop him. They both climbed off and proceeded on their date.

Timeskip because idk how dates work and this is getting long.

Today was great. The date went by without a hitch and now the two had driven to a park nearby where the walked around with no real goal in mind.

"This was fun. We should go on more dates. It was nice getting to know so much about you."

"Yeah
