I didn't know I was drifted off on the floor until I feel the numbness in my legs. I slowly opened my eyes and they widened slightly when I saw Louise who was my bestfriend, reading my diary with a look that said 'awe'.

I rubbed my eyes to get a proper vision and sat up.

"Louise! What the hell are you doing here?" I exclaimed, snatching my diary away from her and she rolled her eyes dramatically.

"You loved Sam this much huh?" she asked, raising her eye brow in a bit surprise.

"Don't say you went through my dia-"

"Of course I went through your diary." she emphasized. "I have all the rights to stick my nose in your business cause' I'm your bestfriend."

"Fine, fine." I huffed, waving my hands in the air.

"Eager to meet him tomorrow, huh?" she wiggled her eye brows playfully.

"I hate him okay?" I lied. "First of all, tell me what are you doing here?"

"Attending my granny's funeral." she deadpanned and I swatted her arm before standing up and stretching my arms.

"Ugh, I never thought you would smell this bad." she scrunched her nose, standing up and looking at my armpit and then at me. I would be offended if I didn't notice the amusement in her eyes.

"Louise." I gave her a stern look.

"Jessica." she returned the stern look which made me sigh loudly.

"Did you just come here to annoy the shit out of me?" I asked as I shoved all the stuffs away that laying on my bed.

"No. I just came here to tell you that I'm his baby mama." I paused and gulped when I heard what she was saying.

No, not again.

"Jessie." Sarah touched my shoulder and I shrugged it off. "I'm sorry."

"Don't you dare apologize to me Sarah. Don't." I warned, pointing my finger at her accusingly.

"I'm too scared to tell you that I have a crush on Sam." she said shakily and my jaw tensed.

"So you lose your virginity to him, yeah?" I scoffed, clapping my hands. "Wow, wow! The best friend of the year goes to you my babe."

"I'm sorry. I'm really sorry." she cried and fell on her knees and I turned around, facing the bench.

I wiped the wet tear off of my cheek and stole a glance at her over my shoulder and my heart melted a little when I saw her breaking down because of me. I knelt down in front of her and gripped her arms which made her watery eyes to look at me.

"I forgive you Sarah. I know I can't blame you and you too have the rights to have crush on anyone you want and could lose your virginity.." I croaked. "..to whoever you want, no matter whether they're your friend's crush or not."

"Jessie, but he's the one who kissed me first." she cried and I frowned as I felt my heart twisted in a painful way.

"Oh, and you kissed him back." I stated flatly and she mumbled another sorry, staring at the floor.

"I-I don't think we could make up our friendship again." I blurted out and there was a long awkward silence until she breaks it.

"Yes."

I snapped my head towards her and she looked hurt and exhausted but I couldn't see the guilt in her face.

"What?" I sounded a bit surprise.

"You're right. We can't be the besties anymore because.." she trailed off and I started to get frustrated.

"Because what?"

"Because Samuel said me to leave you if I want to be his girlfriend." she admitted and my jaw almost dropped to the floor.

"G-Girlfriend? You and h-him?" I stammered and she nodded slowly.

Tears started to flow down again from my eyes and she tried to come towards me but stopped when I raised my hand at her.

"Go away."

"But Jessi-"

"I SAID GO AWAY!!" I screamed and the kids who were playing peacefully startled by my sound and stared at us weirdly but I didn't care at the moment.

"Goodbye Jessica." Sarah stood up and I barely saw her walking away from me as my vision blurred by my painful tears.

"Are you there Jessica Valentina Woods??" Louise waved her hands at my face and I blinked twice to realize it was my past.

"What did you say?" I whisper-yelled.

"Oh Jesus. How many times I'm screaming your name out of my lungs but you are just staying there like a statue." she ranted.

"What did you say before?" I repeated.

"What? um.. Oh yeah, I lose my virginity to Jace and I'm carrying his baby now."

What the f- Jace?

"Jace?" I exclaimed.

"Yeah." she nodded, smirking and I was shocked more than hurt. Louise wasn't that type of person. Neither was Jace. And I've never seen them together since I became her bestie and she hardly speaks with any guys in our school.

"So.. you're not the virgin girl anymore?" I questioned warily and she squinted her eyes at the ceiling as if she was in deep thoughts.

"Well, physically a virgin. but mentally.. nope, not at all." she explained but it confused me even more.

"I don't understand what you're saying Louise." I huffed, plopping down on the bed. She sat beside me and I sighed, staring at the ceiling. "Where did this happen?"

"In my imagination." she stated with a serious look on her face and I sat up straight, narrowing my eyes and asking her to explain.

"I'm just joking babes." she slapped my thigh playfully and I gritted my teeth.

"Then, are you virgin?"

"Of course I am." she stated without any doubt. "But Jace's hottest face ruined my innocent mind and finally this happened. I was sleeping while I was dreaming or else I would try to protest him eventhough he's irresistible." she sighed dreamily and I threw a pillow at her but she caught it before it contacts with her face.

Her craziness made me fall in love with her more and more.

"You almost scared me Lou." I told her honestly.

"How could you not understand my witticism? And, do you think Jace would take his eyes off of Natasha? Never ever!" she rambled and I rolled my eyes.

"He doesn't have anything on Natasha." I stated and she crossed her arms over her chest.

"How do you know that?" she asked, raising her eye brow but before I could reply she spoke, reading my expression. "Oh.. is my beautiful bestfriend feeling jealousy?"

"Why do I need to be jealous?" I groaned, crossing my arms as well.

"Exactly. Why're you jealous? Do you have anything on Ja-"

"No." I cut off her. "How could you think like that after reading my diary and knowing my feelings for Sam?" I questioned and she bit the corner of her lip.

"But you've written more about Jace too." she stated and I shook my head.

"Not in a good way."

"Seriously Jessie? How could you not like a hot guy like Jace?" she sigh dreamily, staring at the window.

"Please stop it and help me to clean this mess." I ordered, pointing to the floor and she groaned.

"Fine."
-----

Today's the first day of my new school year and here I was, covering up my whole body in my thick white blanket and dreaming about my engagement with Sam until I heard the obnoxious sound of my alarm clock.

I groaned and turned off the alarm before it could rip my eardrums. I got up from the bed, stretching my arms as I do always and dragged myself to the bathroom.

I lazily grabbed my tooth brush and started to do my daily morning routine.

I might not have the same excitement to go to school I had, when I was fifteen but I still knew that somehow school would be exciting for some reason. Maybe Louise's crazy talks or my favourite cheese lasagna in the school canteen.

After taking a quick bath, I made my way to my closet and wore a peach colour bra and an underwear before putting on my new uniform. The shirt fit my body well and the blue plain skirt barely touched my knees.

I glanced myself at the full length mirror while tying my blonde hair in a high ponytail. I wore some light make up on, to hide my red pimples on my cheeks and give a natural look to others, at the same time.

Actually, in my opinion, I was pretty good looking and attractive but I didn't know why I was still single.

When I heard the car honking sound, I headed downstairs, grabbing my bag and said goodbye to my family who were eating peacefully in the dining table.

"Alex! You want a ride to school?" I shouted from my doorway, putting on my socks and shoes.

"No need honey. I'll drop him before I go to work." My dad replied instead of my little brother from the dining room and I nodded and waved at Louise when I stepped out of my house, who was waiting for me in her Toyota Yaris which she calls as her baby.

I climbed in and she started the engine and we drove off to our school. I leaned back on the seat while she was singing along with the song which was playing on the radio.

Sometimes I did wish if I could be as rich as Louise because my parents couldn't afford more than one car and the car already reserved for my dad's job.

My dad was a taxi driver and most of the girls in my school has mocked me by giving me a 'driver's dumb daughter' title. My brother didn't face these things as he was a hot popular guy around his teen friends.

I stared out of the window when my eyes met the familiar place. Louise parked the car in the parking area and we both stepped out and headed towards my school.

Everyone didn't bother to spare glances at me like before and I was happy about myself for not being the centre of attention anymore.

We approached the reception and she handed us the form about our new grade's details and told us to go to the Principal's room to get to know further details about the prefectship.

We went there and noticed the principal hasn't arrived yet and a large group has formed outside of his room and we both eventually joined with them.

"Oliver is staring at you." Louise nudged me and I turned towards the direction where she was looking at.

Oliver was standing in front of me a few feet away and staring at me intently which made me avert my gaze.

He was the deputy head prefect of our school and I would say him attractive if I didn't know about his rude attitude. He was the son of Hitler and would dominate us like he owns us.

My heart beat rapidly when he strode towards me with his long legs. Louise whispered something but I didn't hear it as I focused my gaze on him.

"Go and call Jace." he ordered, looking at me and I looked behind to confirm he was talking to me and looked back at him, pointing at myself.

"Me?"

"Yes. You. Now go." He said sternly.

Why should I want to call him when his friends were there to do that? Why me specifically?

"Where is he?" I asked instead and he nodded at the downstairs.

"Basketball court." he replied and I nodded and glanced at Louise in the corner of my eye before leaving and she wiped the drool on her mouth and sighed dreamily at him.

Oh this girl!

I descended the stairs and made my way to the bastketball court. The closer I get, the more I gripped the strap of my bag.

Finally I got there and saw some guys were warming up while some were chatting and having some water. My eyes couldn't find Jace or Samuel so I approached his teammate who was digging his Nike duffle bag.

I approached him and poked his well toned arm which made him turn around and look at me.

"Hey!" I smiled.

"Hey." he nodded once and waited for me to speak.

"Uh, you have nice abs." I said honestly and he stared at his abs and then at me in amusement.

"You came here just to compliment my body?" he asked, raising his eye brow.

He didn't even say thanks. I guess, I'm not so good in making friends.

"Uh, well, where's Jace?" I asked and he pointed to the basketball changing room.

"There."

"Thanks." I poked his arm again and he chuckled before turning back.

It was a little progress. I definitely could make friends. Yayy!

I moved towards the room he pointed at and saw couple of guys only in their pair of shorts or towels which made me gulp audibly.

I didn't step in until my eyes met Samuel and Jace who were still in their sports jerseys and talking something seriously. I walked past the guys who were staring at me curiously and walked towards Jace whose backside was facing me. Samuel noticed I was coming towards his direction and he groaned audibly. "Not you again."

Jace turned back to see who it was and he sighed when his eyes connected with mine. Samuel whispered something to Jace and kept fast strides towards me.

"What's your prob-"

he stopped in mid-sentence when I walked past him, ignoring him completely and standing in front of Jace. Jace looked a bit surprise and he stared behind me for a moments and then down at me as he was 6'1 while I was 5'5.

"Oliver wanted you to come to the principal's room." I informed and he nodded, scratching the back of his neck.

"I'll be there in a few minutes." he told in his deep masculine voice.

I nodded and exited the place, stealing a glance at Samuel whose face was mixed with confusion and embarrassment.

Samuel needs to be known that I was no longer the weak and dumb Jessica Woods.
