After few days

Today was a very special day for both of you. Today was your one month anniversary. Time passed like wind making you two realise how much you both were in love with each other. But dismay always took over you which is why neither of you acknowledged your feelings for each other.

"He must remember today's date, it's our anniversary after all." You kept mumbling and smiling to yourself while cooking breakfast.

Vibing to the cheerful music vibrating in your ears, you felt butterflies in your stomach while reminiscing the beautiful memories you spent with your husband.

"Good morning" Jungkook greeted you with a big smile on his face. Your heart immediately exploded out of joy, probably because it was a rare sight to see him smile.

"Good morning!" You squealed out of excitement. But the initial excitement didn't last long when the next words came out of Jungkook's mouth.
"Why are you so happy today?" Your excitement- filled eyes now held despair.

'Did he forget our anniversary?'

"Umm.. Jungkook, don't you think today is something special?" Jungkook raised an eyebrow before shaking his head
"today? Ohh yess I have a meeting today, thanks Y/N for remembering me" He smiled at you before gulping his food.

'How can he forget our one month anniversary?'

"No Jungkook, today is something more special, try to remember please" You desperately wanted him to remember today. "Is it your birthday?" Your heart broke into pieces, he did forget.

"Nothing leave!!" You huffed before running away to your room. The tears accumulated in your eyes but you didn't let them fall.
"No, it's my fault. I thought he loved me but I guess I was delusional. How did I think he loved me, I'm so foolish, I hate this, I hate myself!" You pressed your face against the soft pillow which suppressed the muffles leaving your mouth.

Jungkook's POV

I was trying so hard to suppress my laughter when I saw Y/N sulk. She's so cute when she's angry. But most importantly I was happy that she remembered our anniversary.

Of course I remember today but I have planned a surprise for her. Today is gonna be a very big day for both of us.
"Sorry Y/N just few hours more. I can't wait to confess tonight." My lips curved up slightly just thinking about her reaction.

"Y/N I'm leaving!!" I screamed before heading outside to my office.

End of Jungkook's POV

You heard Jungkook's scream from downstairs followed by the noise of the door slamming indicating he had left.

You sighed and sat up straight. You rubbed your eyes and pouted in anger.
"JEON JUNGKOOK ARGGGH!!"

You immediately grabbed your phone and called Taehyung asking him to meet you at the park.

Time skips

Jungkook felt restless. His hands were sweating like crazy as he held the bouquet and a ring. Pacing back and forth, his heartbeat started increasing every passing second.
"what if she doesn't love me back? What if she rejects my love? What if she likes someone else?"

Jungkook was excited yet scared at the same time.

"M-mr Jeon calm down, Mrs Jeon will be very happy" His assistant assured him.

A ray of hope enlightenment his mood as he heard "Mrs Jeon" coming out of his assistant's mouth.

"Where is she now?" Jungkook enquired. The workers looked at each other before someone stepped forward and started speaking "Sir, her phone tracker says, she's at the park."

Jungkook nodded before leading towards his car.

After one hour

Jungkook reached his destination but his eyes wandered around the place to find you.

His heart thumped against his chest when he noticed your figure sitting on a bench.
He took a step forward but immediately halted when he saw Taehyung kneeling down in front of you with a bouquet in his hand.

Jungkook's heart shattered into pieces. He saw you both happily smiling to each other while you held the bouquet in your hands. Hot tears streamed down his face as he realised what was happening between you and Taehyung.

Unable to bear the stinging pain in his heart, he made his way back to his car before driving back home.

"M-mr Park, please try to a-arrange d-divorce papers b-by t-tonight."
Jungkook choked on his tears.
