Serenity~

She felt all his emotions, she has never seen him like this, so vulnerable. Her heart went out for him and for August to reject his own mother, thing were bad. His mother stood in the middle of the hall without moving. "Go to him, Serenity, he needs you right now." Trey whispers in her ear. "Me? He may need some time, that was quite a scene there." She rushed out, "You're his fiance, go to him." He pushed her foward. Was she really gonna do this? This engagement was fake! Why did they expect so much? She turned to Naeun for help but she got the same response. His mother turned towards her and gave her the most hated stare she recieved from anyone. "This is all your fault! Why did you even appear?! You ruined everything!" She backs away slowly. Trey held his mother, "Mama not now." He sternly told her as Naeun pushed her toward his room. "Stop being a little bitch and go to his room, this might be fake to us but to everyone else it's real! Keep that in your mind the next time you hesitate." She hisses.

Serenity opened the door slowly to see clothes all over the floor. She groaned, "Must clean." She whisperes to herself as she started cleaning up the room forgetting the actual reason why she came. As she turned her head, she saw his eyes staring at her. Her body stiffened. "What are you doing?" He asked with a raspy voice. "Oh! Me? I was just cleaning!" She showed him the piece of clothes in her hand to him. He smirks, why was he smirking like that? "How do you tell the dirty from the clean?" He sits up. Serenity gulped, "I s..smell it." He points her hand. "In the future never smell my underwears, all of them are dirty." Her eyes widened in realization. "Oh Jesus!" She drops it making him laugh. She was so embarrassed. "I didn't know, I thought-" He waves his hands shwoing his tattooed skin, "Don't apologize, it's fine." He assures her.

"Are you okay, August? You seemed so out of it..." She trailed off looking at him with caution. He sighs and stares at the wall then he pats the empty space next to him, "come sit, if we're getting married then you need to know my past, more information so you know how to keep Brenda off your back, even I know she isn't finished." She sat down next to him and stares at the wall too. "Brenda was my ex wife." He spoke making her eyes widened. "We were lovers before we even knew what the word meant. We dated all the ay up to university. Everyone knew I was going to propose to her, she was the girl every guy wanted and at the time I was so lucky to have her. Then her parents died in a plane crash on their way back from their anniversary vacation, I was so supportive of her, my mom took her in, we never found a will or deed so technically, Brenda was poor. Her behavior started changing and she yelled anad fought me for the littlest things. Mother said it was just her way of dealing with the pain. Of course I agreed and made up my mind that it was her way of dealing with pain." He stopped and took in a large breath. "A couple months after, when things settled down, I proposed to her and her mood immediately changed. She was happy, I was happy, I thought everything was great." He looked down cleaing his throat. "Three months after marriage, she pops up with a child saying he was mine, her excuse was that she didn't want a child ruin my education because she knew how much I wanted to take over the company. I was so shocked, mother believed her and forgave us because we had a kid out of wedlock. I went along with it too because she was my love, my everything and it didn't matter to me."He tears up slightly. Serenity held his hand gently. "The one thing she left out about the kid was that he had leukemia, and he was dying because she made it get so bad that we couldn't do anything else but make sure he had a nice funeral." Serenity eyes stung then she left his grip tighten around her hand. "Well at the funeral, there was a man that I didn't know and he was crying and calling his name, telling him that he was sorry. That's when I caught on to everything, he looked exactly like my son, the way he moved, the pain he had, it wasn't any normal morn."

She sniffs looking at him, "What happened next?" She asked. "I cofronted her about it and of course she denied it but the man didn't. He told me everything and that she was with him behind my back fo years and neither of them had the money to take care of the child's illness and by the time she was about to ask me for help, it was too late." She held her chest. "What was the child's name?" She quietly asked. He broke the stare from the wall and looked at her. His eys held so much sadness and pain, "His name was Kacen Armstrong." She smiles slighting, "I bet he was a tough one." He smiled sadly, "He was.." He looks down. Serenity never knew this man went through so much in his life. "Don't be sad, it hurts to see you like this." She whispers not caring what she said. "It's not like me, huh?" She shook her head. "I'm human too, Serenity, either you like it or not." She sighs and stands up, "Thank you for telling me your story. I'll be leaving now.." She sighs walking toward the door. "Don't leave, you came so don't leave now." She stops and turns back at him.

He walks up to her, his eyes red, "I don't know what has gotten over me but, Serenity, I am going to marry you and I'm going to make you love me." Her heart stopped. "I think you need to lie down, youre not feeling well." He holds her arms down and kissed her with so much passion, she stood on the tip of her toes closing her eyes. She didn't want it to stop honeslty. He pulled away looking at her, "That will be my promise." He smirks as Serenity stood still looking at him. "You can go now if you want, I'll be by to pick you up for work tomorrow and from work we plan the wedding, I'll get a wedding planner to help you where I can't." She just nods as she opens the door to meet Naeun. She pulled Serenity outt he house grinning from ear to ear.

"You better tell me everything when we get home."

Naeun~

She gasped at Serenity, August was something else. The way he man handled her, she wanted Trey to do that to her. "Stop thinking about dirty things that Trey could do to you." Naeun laughed. "Don't worry, he's being a complete dick toward me and I couldn't say a sentence without him snapping, being harsh or just ignoring me, it kind of hurts when I think about it so I just don't." She shrugs. Serenity frowns her eyebrows, "All of a sudden? He was being so nice to you a week ago and now he's like an entirely different person."

"Maybe he has issuses too?" She questioned herself. They both shook their heads. "He's just an idiot." Naeun laughed and leans back on the couch in their apartment. "No more boy talk, let's just relax and watch a movie or take a nice nap. Serenity raised her hand. "I nominate nap time." Naeun smiled raising her hand, "and I second it." She grabs covers and covers us, "Prepare for paining backs and complaining when I wake up." Naeun mumbles closing her eyes, "It's a normal thing for you." She mumbles back to her as the both fell asleep
