I woke up the next morning and Becks wasn't there

"Becky", I whined and heard a giggle

"He'll be busy all day", I heard Tiffany say and I pouted

"Where is he?", I asked sitting up and stretching

"He's in the office having some big meeting", she answered watching TV. I yawned and shuffled to the bathroom. I washed, unbraided my hair leaving it out and curly. I slipped on a blue floral dress and put on red lipstick

I think you're obsessed with red, Lily spoke and I shrugged

Well your fur is red, why are you complaining? I asked

I was never complaining, she said and I rolled my eyes

"Where are you going?", Tiff asked as I walked the door

"To the meeting", I said quickly and before she could jump off the bed, I ran out the room and quietly went into Becks' office. A bunch of eyes staring back at me, one of them were Becks

"Uh this is my mate, Luna Haley", Becks announced walking to my side and wrapped his arm around my waist. They all raised and bowed

"What are you doing here?", he asked lowly

"I'm here for the meeting", I answered and his jaw clenched "You didn't think I wouldn't find out about the war?"

"I- uh", he bit his lip nervously

"Why don't we continue", I spoke to everyone and pulled a seat next to Becks seat. Becks sat and gestured a man to continue.

I knew Becks didn't want me here, I could tell by the way his jaw clenched and his hand was in a fist. He was also guilty, for not telling me about this war. He sat there listening, his index rubbing his bottom lip. I placed my hand over his and all the tension in his hand went away.

So far, I found you that this rogue named Silver is targeting our pack. He and his rogues are going to arrive unexpectedly. For what I heard, Silver is the most dangerous, darkest rogue to every live. He killed his mother and father and took off. Creating his own packs and killing anyone in his way

"We'll start training tomorrow morning, I want all my men ready when Silver comes", He ordered in his Alpha voice that made me shiver

"Yes Alpha", Victor replied with a slight bow of his head

"Well, if that's all the information I need to know then I assume this meeting is over", he commented and everyone stood. They shook hands and left

"Victor would you give moment please", he said to Victor, he nodded and left "how did you know about the war?"

"I heard your thoughts last night", I answered, he stood and walked over to big window behind his desk "why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I knew you would want to fight", he crossed his arms and I could see his muscles in his back

He's so hot, Lily whined and I blushed

Now is not the time, I snapped at her

"This is my pack too Becks and I want to protect it", I commented walked behind him. I could see his reflection in the glass. His index finger rubbing against his bottom lip again, lips in a thin line, eyebrows down, and jaw clenched. He was really conflicted about this Silver guy

"Becks", I whispered wrapping my arms around his waist, he didn't respond "Becky". He looked up and caught my eyes in the mirror

"Calm yourself, everything will be fine", I kissed his lower back and breathed in his scent "are you hungry?"

"Nope, but I have a lot of paperwork to catch on", he replied turning around "and you can't stay because you're a distraction to me". I pouted and he smiled

"Can I bring you lunch?", I asked and he nodded "yay"

"I'll see you later baby", he spoke softly and kissed me.

I went downstairs to the kitchen and made me some breakfast. Tiffany came down fixing her hair, she saw me and started blushing

"Seriously?", I gasped and she didn't say anything "gross!"

"Don't act like you've never done it Missy", she said sticking her tongue out at me and I laughed

"Anyway, you want breakfast?", I asked and she shook her head

"Already had breakfast", she answered sitting on the counter "so how was the meeting?"

"Uh... I can't lie to you", I started and took a deep breath "there's a war coming and you're not going to be in it"

"But-"

"No Tiffany! I need you safe, not just for my sake but for Victor's too", I interrupted her and she growled

"I trained with you, I basically know everything that you do", she pointed out "I should be in that war"

"What happens if you get hurt hmmm? I wouldn't be able to live with myself, your my sister Tiffany", I said putting my food on the plate and looking at her

"I won't get hurt", she whispered

"How can you make sure of that?", I asked and she took a deep breath

"I'm a white wolf", she whispered and I nodded I'm not stupid "I have these powers..."

"What kind of powers?", I question eating my food slowly. She took another deep breath and gestured me to sit at the dinning table. We sat and she continued

"Uh healing myself and others, also spiritual stuff", she commented and I sat silently eating my food

"What.... Why didn't you tell me?", I whispered raising my eyebrow "I told you about me"

"I know, I just... I don't know why I didn't", she explained with a shrug. So my best friend is a magical white wolf... Kinda expected that, just wished she told me. I nodded and smiled

"I totally understand Tiff", I said and she let out a breath of relief

For the whole day Tiff and I talked and laughed. She showed me how her powers worked and I sat there amazed. At lunch, we made sandwiches for the guys and gave it to them

"Thank you very much", Becks said with a smile, I smiled back and walked away but he pulled me into his lap. Victor went downstairs and ate with Tiff. He passed me his plate and opened his mouth

"Okay, you big baby", I mumbled smiling

"Too much paperwork", he commented stretching and loosened his tie

"Well, maybe we could help", I suggested holding his sandwich up, he smiled and took a bite

"Thanks doll, but this is a man's job", he answered in a mysterious voice and I giggled

"Okay if you say so Alpha", I replied wiping the corner of his mouth with my thumb "I'll see you later?"

"Actually I'll be working", he said and I pouted "I know I know"

"Eh it's okay, I know you have to catch up on everything", I commented and kissed his cheek.

Just like he said, he wasn't there in our bedroom at bedtime. I sat in bed for a while reading until 3 am. I couldn't sleep without Becks next to me. I got out of bed, put on my robe and went to Becks' office. I stood at the doorway looking at my mate. He was asleep, hair ruffled, head leaned back, body relaxed. I walked over to him and ran my fingers through his hair. He stirred and growled

"Becky", I whispered tugging at his hair and he peeked at me "where's Victor?"

"I sent him to bed at 11", he answered sleepily and I shook my head

"Come on, your work will still be here", I said taking his hand and helping him up. He got up and stretched. We went back to our room and I undressed him, he's so adorable. Once in bed, I snuggled up to him and he wrapped his arms around me

"Goodnight beautiful", Becks whispered with a light kiss on my forehead

"Goodnight sleepy head", I whispered back giving him a kiss on his bare chest

Tomorrow we have work to do, Lily said and I drifted into a deep sleep.
