We arrive home but the house is quiet, too quiet. I walk through the house to try and find someone but nobody's here. I walk back to Zed, he is looking around the front room.

"Nobody's here" I say

Zed stops moving and looks at me, his eyes widen as he gets deeper in thought. He steps closer to me. What is he doing? His eyes land upon mine as he takes one more step closer to me.

"We need to go" Zed claims

"Where?" I ask

Zed walks towards the front door but turns around to look at me. I'm standing in the same place, I haven't moved. My eyes aren't blinking, my mouth is open like I want to speak but words aren't coming out.

"Do you trust me?" Zed ask's with uncertainty

"Of course" I reply

"Then follow me!" He demands

I obliged. We run out of the house, he runs past the garage which confuses me because I thought we would take the motorbike. I don't ask, we just keep running. We run past house after house, I honestly have no idea where we are going.

Zed comes to a stop at a main road, we've hit the end of the street. He turns to look at me, my heavy breathing fills the silence between us.

"Are You okay?" Zed ask's

I nod my head, my mouth is dry and raspy. I wouldn't want my voice sounding like an old man. My eyes look down at my legs which are starting to shake under the lack of rest.

"We need to keep running" Zed admits after looking at my chest rise and fall, trying to grab as much oxygen as possible.

"Okay" I mumble

We wait a few seconds to catch our breaths before running down another street. It feels like we are running for our lives. We turn down an ally and then when we run out of the ally, we are back into the main streets I got lost in.

I look at Zed, hopeful this is our stop. But he gives me a small faint smile before grabbing my hand and running again. We run past the park I had to wait at, down into an ally.

Drugless Ally

We stop at the entrance of the ally. My eyes land upon Harry and his gang with my brother and his gang.

"What the hell is happening?" I shout at the 2 gangs standing before us.

"Go home Maddie!" Max demands

"You shouldn't of brought her!" Liam shouts at Zed

"Oh look, Maddie's back" Josh chuckles

I can see the worry in Max's face. All our gang look at me and then Harry, concern washes over them. Harry walks towards me with a smirk. A pit starts to form in my stomach, Harry's hand wraps around my wrist and pulls me into his chest. Harry tightens his hold of me as he holds me against his chest. We spin around to face the other, Zed moves towards the other boys near my brother.

"Maybe now you'll listen" Harry claims

"Let her go, harry" a familiar voice calls out from the shadows

"Oh So now you decide to join us?" Harry raises an eyebrow

Walker appears from the shadows, his fists are clenched and his eyes are narrowed onto me and Harry. Zed rolls his eyes at the sudden appearance of Walker.

"Why is this knob head here?" Zed says while rolling his eyes

"Same reason you are dip shit" Walker reply's

I turn my attention to Max, his eyes are fixed onto me. He's deep in thought, probably trying to find a way out of this mess but there is no way of me getting out of Harry's grip unharmed.

"Why are you all even here to begin with?" I ask

Everyone's eyes turn to me. I lower my head in embarrassment, I didn't think everyone heard me. Harry chuckles while my brother and his gang growl.

"So turns out, the guy Max sent to jail is out" Harry starts to explain.

"Wait what?" I gasp

"What?" Zed sounds as surprised as me

Harry nods with a smirk. He tightens his hold of my wrist and it sends the same pain as last time through my body. I don't say anything, I bit back my tears as the pain continues.

"We have no communication with him but funnily enough, Max and his gang does! So they are going to help us find out gang member" Harry continues

"We are not helping you" Zack snaps

"Over our dead bodies" Payton adds

"We can arrange your deaths after you help us" Callum cuts in

"I thought you guys were decent guys" I sigh

"Sorry mads" Josh apologies

Mads?

I actually like that nickname, Has a nice ring to it, I guess.

Max and Cole exchange glares before Cole hits Josh in the back, making Josh fall to the ground uncontrollably. I think Cole hit a nerve in Josh's spin.

Payton, Zack and Liam all attack Callum, on the count of 3. Zack tackles Callum while Payton and Liam hold him down, Zack gives Callum a few good punches too the face.

Zed and Walker glare at each other for a split second before Zed is running towards walker, both boys ready to fight.

"Ready for round 2 already?" Walker smirks

"I'm ready to finish you, that's for sure" Zed states

Zed punches Walker in the face but Walker takes out Zed's leg, making Zed fall to the ground. Zed recovers quickly and takes a good swing for Walker, hitting Walker in the eye. That's gonna leave a mark.

I watch the fight unravel itself in front of me, Harry still holding me captive against his hard chest. Both Harry's arms are around me, keeping his hold on me very tight; a little too tight.

Max charged towards me and Harry. I'm relieved when I see Max because he's the only hope I have of getting out of Harry's tight grip. Max pulls out a gun from the waist band of his trousers. My eyes widen as the gun is pointed in my direction.

"You wouldn't shoot me" Harry chuckles

"Don't think I won't" Max tenses up, both his hands on the gun

"Shoot me then! Come on, I'm waiting" Harry keeps laughing

BANG! BANG!

2 shots fired just above my head. All of a sudden, the tight grip around me is gone. I turn around to see what happened. Harry's on the floor, Bleeding! Max looks un-interested. I kneel down to Harry's bleeding body to check for a pulse but I can't find one. Harry doesn't move, his chest has 2 bullet wounds.

Harry's Dead

"He's dead! You just killed him!" I scream

"Maddie, come here" Max demands softly

I stand up with tears filling my eyes, my entire body is becoming limp and I don't think my mind can handle much more. Once I reach Max, I collapse into his arms. My eyes close and everything turns black.

ZED MARTEL

"What the hell Max!" Liam shouts

"You just killed him!" Payton adds

I finish knocking Walker unconscious before standing up straight and joining the others. The other guys are already finished with the other boys, Josh in on top of an old car; unconscious of course. Callum is stuck in an abandoned bin and Walker in unconscious on the floor. I stand up next to Max and watch as Maddie's eyes close.

"Do you want me to hold her?" I ask Max

"Nah, I got her" Max sighs

He puts the safety on the gun and then puts it back into the waist band of his trousers. Max picks Maddie up with her legs in one arm and her body in the other, her head lays against his arm for support.

"That's your fault" Zack says to Max while pointing at Maddie

"I had to shoot the guy, did you have any better ideas?" Max raises an eyebrow at Zack

Zack just shakes his head, we all look around at the mess we've caused. This is going to take a lot of hard work to hide.

"Payton, Cole, I need you to hide Harry's body" Max demands

"Where?" Cole ask's

"Anywhere! But make sure it will never be found, Burn it if you have too" Max claims. "Zack, Liam, you'll be in charge of cleaning the blood" Max continues

"Aww come on man" Zack groans

"Zed, your coming with me to take Maddie home" Max adds

"Haha losers!" I poke my tongue out at the other guys who have to stay behind and clean the mess we made

"Shut up, Zed" Cole rolls his eyes

Me and max start walking back to the house with Maddie swaying back and forth in Max's arms. She looked so peaceful, I wish she was in my arms.

Ewww What the hell did I just say! Shut up Zed! You can't say that about a girl.

I nearly gag at my own thought, I mean, Zed Martel, liking a girl! That would never happen even if the earth was about to end!
