they decided to just chill at taehyungs's and namjoon's house, having a lazy saturday.

but namjoon and yoongi have to go to an electronic shop to buy some things that taehyung never has heard before and jimin decided to go with them.

taehyung closes the front door since they just left and he goes back to the livingroom, where jeongguk sits on the couch and is on the phone, talking to someone.

"wait? no! i- ugh- i'm coming home now!"

"jeongguk? where are you going?"

"i have to go home.", he says, stressed and in a rush.

"will you come back?", taehyung asks as jeongguk already makes his way to the front door and taehyung follows him.

"tae listen. last night was a mistake. we should never have kissed. and i'm really sorry, but... ugh- i have to go.", he says and leaves the house.

taehyung is like frozen, his eyes wide since the moment jeongguk said the word "mistake."

he repeats the words in his head over and over again. his eyes fill with tears and suddenly he feels so weak.

maybe he's overreacting, but he starts crying. why would jeongguk kiss him all night and then leave him the next day, saying it was a mistake? yes, taehyung was the one who caused the kiss since he was literally asking for it, but still.

it hurts.

he wonders what went through jeongguk's mind that he suddenly thinks like that.

and who was that on the phone and why does he have to go home? is everything alright at home?

last night was the best night in taehyung's life and knowing that jeongguk regrets it, hurts like hell.

did jeongguk only use him? is this what everyone says after leaving their one night stand? well.. they had no sex but still he's wondering. do they also say that it was a mistake and leave the person alone then? if yes, it really isn't fair because it hurts. it hurts and it's confusing.

but jeongguk wouldn't just use taehyung. he's not one of the guys that would just use him, right?

heartbroken, taehyung stands up and makes his way to his room. he sits down on his bed, leans his back on the wall behind him and pulls his knees close to his chest, wrapping his arms around them.

"don't cry.", he says to himself.

"life is pain. don't cry. don't be so weak. don't be such a crybaby.", he says and tries to take deep breaths but he fails when he starts crying again.

he's sobbing softly as he's feeling pathetic.

what did i even expect?

that we would become a thing?

he laughs at his thoughts and at his own stupidity.

he knew that they were far away from becoming a couple but still, it felt so good to be with him and just the imagination that they could become a couple one day. it made him happy.

but now it's all gone.

after another 20 minutes of crying and overthinking, he feels how weak and tired he suddenly is that's why he lays down and it doesn't take him long to fall asleep.

"tae?"

taehyung wakes up, hearing jimin's voice. his eyes flutter open.

"why are you sleeping and where is jeongguk?"

"c-chim.", he says with a shaking voice and stretches his arms out for him.

jimin's eyes widen when he sees taehyung is about to cry and he quickly pulls him into his arms.

"baby, what's wrong?", he asks and taehyung starts crying into his chest. "h-he s-said l-last n-night w-was a m-mistake."

jimin is shocked and he can't really believe it at first. he would never expect that from jeongguk.

"what?", jimin asks, but taehyung keeps on crying.

"hey, first calm down then you can tell me everything.", he says and starts rubbing taehyung's back.

after a few minutes taehyung finally calms down and sits down normally again to tell jimin everything.

"tae, maybe he didn't really know what he was saying since he was stressed?"

"no one would just say something like that without meaning it.", he says sadly and jimin sighs.

"i really don't think he regrets it. he really likes you tae, just the way he looks at you says it. i think... i think there is more behind of it."

"what could it be chim? he said it was a mistake and he meant it. there's nothing to glorify about."

jimin sighs at the pessimistic thoughts of his friend but he can't blame him though. he would think the same if he was in taehyung's position.

but jimin knows there is more.
