"You almost ready to go?" Wyatt asked me, popping his head into my room. I was standing in front of my mirror, putting on a nude lipstick when he entered.

"I just finished," I told him, putting down my lipstick tube on the dresser.

"You look stunning, as always," Wyatt smiled. He walked into my room and pressed a kiss on the side of my head.

"Thank you," I thanked him. I was wearing a pair of nice black leggings and a large navy blue sweater that hid my growing bump quite well.

"Let head out then," He suggested. I nodded in response and grabbed my phone and purse off the bed before heading out my bedroom door.

"Will you tell me where were going yet?" I asked him.

"Nope!" Wyatt laughed. I had a feeling that would have been the answer, but I still figured I would try.

"Rude," I huffed, sticking my tongue out at him. Wyatt only laughed in response as he grabbed his keys and phone. I headed into the kitchen where I found my mom, Grayson, and Kelsey.

"We're heading out, we'll be back later," I told my mom.

"Have fun," Mom smiled.

"Bye Gray," I called out to my brother.

"Bye Kennedy!" Kelsey responded in a high pitched voice. I didn't even bother to respond and chose to exit the room instead. I rolled my eyes as soon as I was out of eye sight.

"Ready?" Wyatt asked.

"More than ready," I answered. I grabbed his hand and we walked out to his Jeep. Wyatt opened my door for me and I got in before he got in the driver's seat.

"It's not super far away is it?" I asked.

"It's only about five minutes," Wyatt confirmed. I nodded and grabbed onto Wyatt's free hand. He rubbed his thumb up and down the side of my hand, which made me feel instantly relaxed. I shut my eyes and focused on Wyatt's hand and the music playing softly on the radio. I had almost dozed off when Wyatt whispered,

"We're here."

I opened my eyes to find that we were parked in front of Tom's Burger Palace, a place Grayson, Wyatt, and I used to visit regularly as kids.

"Tom's?" I asked him.

"Yeah, do you know why?" He asked me. I shook my head in response.

"This was the first place I met you. Grayson and I met you and Arden here after school one day. You had no idea that Grayson was bringing somebody with him, so you were shocked," Wyatt recalled.

"I do remember that," I laughed, "I though it was super weird that somebody wanted to be friends with my brother."

"You thought I was super weird?" He asked, fake offended.

"No, I thought the idea that you were actual friends with my brother was super weird," I told him.

"Do you want to head inside?" He asked.

"Yes, now I am very much craving a burger," I laughed. Wyatt and I both got out of the car and headed inside. Nobody else was in the restaurant except for us, which was to be expected since it was the day after Christmas.

"Table for two?" The hostess asked us.

"Yes," Wyatt answered. The hostess grabbed a few menus before taking is to a corner booth at the end of the restaurant. Wyatt and I sat down next to each other and started looking at the menu.

"Do you remember when we used to have milkshake contests to see who could drink their milkshake the fastest?" I asked him.

He laughed, "And Grayson always won!"

"Nothing has changed, he still inhales all of his food." I continued to look at the menu until I found my favorite burger, and sure enough they still had it.

"Hello! My name is Wendy and I'll be taking care of you today. Are you both ready to order?" She asked us. We both shared a glance and nodded.

"I'll have the bacon cheeseburger with a side of fries and just a water with that," I ordered. Wendy nodded and jotted it down on her notepad.

"I'll get the double cheeseburger with fries and can I get a water and a chocolate milkshake with two straws?" Wyatt asked.

"Sure thing sugar! That we be right out for the two of you!" She smiled before heading to the kitchen.

"You still remember my favorite milkshake?" I asked him.

"How could I not?" He chuckled, "I still have a vivid memory of the one time somebody ordered you a vanilla shake instead of chocolate shake and you just about had a meltdown in the middle of the restaurant."

"Okay, I was like seven then, what else would you expect?" I defended myself.

"You should be glad that I like all milkshakes. I remember that I had ordered a chocolate one that day, so I gave you my chocolate one and I drank your vanilla one," He recalled.

"You've always been looking out for me," I sighed, laying my head down on his shoulder.

He kissed the top of my head, "It's what I do best."

Minutes later, our food came out and we both dove straight in. We didn't really talk a lot while we were eating, it was sort of a mutual agreement on both ends. After we finished our food, we started to share our chocolate milkshake.

Wyatt stirred his straw around in the almost empty cup and looked up at me.

"Kennedy?" He asked.

"Yes Wyatt?"

"I didn't just bring you here to remember all of the good times we've had here. While that was one of the goals, the other one was to tell you," He stopped and sucked in a deep breath before grabbing my hands, "To tell you that I love you with my whole heart Kennedy Harden. I know our relationship may have started with some weird circumstances, but I truly do love you with every bone in my body."

A smile broke out on my face, "I love you too Wyatt Chandler, probably more than you'll ever know." I leaned in and pressed a kiss on his lips.

"Oh, I'm sure I'll know one day in the future," He smiled.

"Maybe you will," I smiled, leaning in to kiss him once again.

While we both knew where our feeling for one another stood, it was nice to finally hear the words be said out loud. And all the words said were true, I loved Wyatt Chandler and he loved me just as much.
