"The party planners have arrived!" My mom yelled to me.

"I'll be down in a minute!" I called back, putting in my earring. Once I had the backing secured against my earlobe, I headed down the stairs and pulled my two best friends into a bone crushing hug.

"Thank you guys so much for doing this for me! You two are the best!" I told Jess and Arden as I pulled away.

"Anytime babe, you know I'm already planning your baby shower," Arden winked.

"And me!" Jess added in.

"Don't worry, we wore opposite colors to confuse people, we aren't giving anything away," Arden told me, gesturing to her wearing an adorable pink dress, while Jess was in dark jeans and a baby blue sweater.

"I cannot wait to find out because then we can actually start to narrow down names and then choose a name for this little babe," I smiled, running my hands over my growing bump. I was almost already to the half way point, which was absolutely mind boggling.

"Has anybody told you you're glowing Kennedy?" Jess asked.

"Stop it, you guys don't have to say that," I laughed nervously, tucking a strand of curled hair behind my ear.

"You actually are girl! And that outfit looks so good on you!" Arden confirmed.

"Thank you both." I looked down at my outfit, since it was cold, I chose to wear a pair of light blue jeans with a pink tank top, and a cardigan that was fuzzy and white.

A pair of hands landed on my waist. "They're not wrong, you look stunning, love," Wyatt said, kissing the side of my head.

"You two are adorable!" Jess squealed.

"No they're not!" Grayson yelled from the kitchen.

"Stop being such a Debby Downer Grayson! I'm going to start calling you Gloomy Grayson!" Jess called back at him. I had been a little over a week since he ended things with Kelsey and while he wasn't one hundred percent back to his old self, he was getting closer each day.

"Enough talk ladies! We have a lot to set up!" My mom commanded, entering the room with two rolls of streamers. While I wanted to help out, Wyatt made me sit out. So, I watched as the house went from being a normal house to an explosion of pink and blue in less than an hour.

"I cannot wait to find out," Wyatt smiled, taking a seat next to me as he admired his handy work with the balloons tied around the house.

"Was it worth the wait?" I asked him.

"Kinda," He admitted, he turned to face my bump, "So what are you little one? A football star like your dad or a princess like your mom?" He asked, resting his hand in my stomach.

"I've felt the baby moving around a little bit," I told Wyatt.

"Really?" He asked, his eyes lighting up.

"Nothing major, just a flutter here and there, no kicks yet," I informed him.

He pouted his lips as he poked my stomach, "Come on baby, I know you're in there!"

"Wyatt, that's not gonna do anything," I laughed as he continued to poke my bump in different spots.

The doorbell rang and before I could get up to open it, Jess and Arden were already on it.

"You stay there, we'll greet the guests and then get down to business," Arden instructed me.

"Alright, I'll let you do your thing," I laughed, relaxing in my chair. There weren't very many people to greet. We kept the group small. Other than my mom, my brother, Wyatt, and myself, we only invited the girls I have my monthly sleepovers with and Wyatt's parents. The group was very small, which is how I liked it.

"Hi Kennedy! How are you?" Hailey asked, giving me a hug.

"I'm doing great! How are you?" I asked her.

"I'm doing good. Very excited! I cannot believe Jess and Arden have known for a week and have been able to keep their mouths shut!" Hailey laughed.

"Honestly, me too. I thought that it may possibly slip, but it didn't," I agreed.

Then, Wyatt's parents found their way over to us. Wyatt's dad had calmed down a lot since we had told him and now, he too, was very excited about this baby.

"How are you feeling Kennedy?" Mrs. Chandler asked me, pulling me into a hug.

"I'm doing really good, baby hasn't been causing me too much trouble," I informed her.

"That's good. You know with all of my girls—" She stopped, "You know what, I'll tell you after, I don't want to get your hopes up for one gender and then end up with the other," She informed me as she grabbed onto my hands.

I gave her hands a light squeeze, "That's okay with me, we have a while afternoon after to compare pregnancies," I told her.

Our conversation was cut short when Arden started talking to everyone in the room.

"Alright everyone! We're all here now and everyone has cast their predictions votes!" Arden announced, getting the attention of everyone in the room.

"So, the votes are in and it seems like eight of you think it's a girl and four of you think it's a boy," Jess told everyone. Most of the girls wanted me to have a girl, while Wyatt, my mom, and Grayson all were on team boy. I had gone back and forth, but ended up on team girl in the end.

"If we could have Kennedy and Wyatt come up here, we'll get this show on the road!" Wyatt and I got up from where we were sitting and stood with Arden and Jess. Jess had one of the big gender balloons and Arden handed us each a pin. Jess set the balloon down and they both stepped back.

"Alright on the count of three, pop the balloon!" Arden yelled.

Everyone in the room started counting down and when they hit three, Wyatt and I popped the balloon. And out came pink!

. . . and blue.

I immediately turned to my two friends and gave them a questioning look.

"You didn't seriously think we would give you the most generic gender reveal did you?" Arden smirked.

"With you, of course not," I laughed.

"We have to go outside for this one, so everyone follow us!" Jess announced. We all followed them out to our back yard and they lead Wyatt and I over to a piece of white canvas on the ground. Thankfully, it was a very mild January day, so it wasn't too wet and cold out.

"We wanted to give you guys something that you could put in a frame to hang in the babies room. So basically how this works is were going to give the two of you squeeze bottles and then you'll squeeze them onto the piece of white cloth and the color is the gender," Arden explained to us as she handed us two bottles full of the mystery color dye.

"No tricks this time?" Wyatt asked.

"No tricks!" Arden confirmed. We pulled the caps off of the bottles and everyone counted down to three again. When they hit three, we both sprayed the bottles onto the cloth and my hands immediately flew over my mouth and I hugged Wyatt tightly.

"It's a boy! Oh my God were having a boy!" I squealed, looking back down at the blue dye, now soaking into the cloth.

"I told you it would be a boy," Wyatt grinned before planting a kiss on my lips.

"It's official everyone! Kennedy and Wyatt are welcoming a little boy in June!" Jess announced, holding up the ultrasound. I immediately took it from her hands and looked at it. Sure enough, written on the ultrasound picture was It's a boy!.

"I'm going to be outnumbered!" I realized.

"Don't worry sweetheart, you'll always have me," My mom grinned pulling me into a hug.

"Congratulations Kennedy! What I was going to say earlier was all of my girls pregnancies, I was sick all of the time and never really felt good, but with this boy over here," Mrs. Chandler smiled, pointing to Wyatt, "I had the smoothest and easiest pregnancy ever."

"Sounds like we're pretty similar then," I laughed. She pulled me into another hug before heading back into my house.

After everyone had congratulated us, I turned back to Wyatt, "I just can't believe it. It's a boy," I smiled, tears forming in my eyes. I pulled Wyatt into another hug.

"Baby boy Chandler," I mumbled into his chest, "Shit, now we have to actually sit down and think about names," I remembered.

Wyatt kissed the top of my head, "I already have an idea and I think you'll like it."

"Alright everyone! Let's go have some cake and celebrate this baby boy!" Arden announced.

"I agree, this baby boy is very hungry for some cake!" I laughed before grabbing Wyatt's hand and heading back into my house. It felt so surreal to know that I was having a boy, but I loved it all at the same time.
