As we pulled into the hospital parking lot, my nerves jumped through the roof. Wyatt glanced my way and noticed that my hands had clenched into tight balls. He took my left hand in his right hand and made me release the fists, so he could intertwine his fingers with mine.

"Everything is going to be fine."

"I know, it's just Kelsey's gotten me all worked up and now I'm expecting the worse about everything," I sighed as I pushed the car door open. I let go of Wyatt's hand to hop out of the car, but immediately grabbed his arm again when I walked around the car.

"I'm also not ready to face all of my moms co-workers, they've already been whispering about it, but now that I'm actually going to be in there, it's going to be like ten times worse," I added in as we headed towards the main doors.

Wyatt shrugged, "Don't worry, I'll be there the whole time, and they can't judge you that harshly when the man who impregnated you is there too."

I burst into a small fit of giggles and Wyatt gave me a weird look, "You just said 'impregnated' and that made me giggle."

Wyatt laughed at my goofy response, "Are your emotions going to be this up and down the entire pregnancy?"

"I don't think so, but I'll confirm with my mother."

We walked through the main doors and walked to the maternity ward. When we made it to the lobby, we went straight to the front desk.

"Hi! I'm here for a pregnancy confirmation appointment," I informed the lady sitting behind the desk. Thankfully, I didn't know many of my Mom's coworkers, so there would be less awkward encounters.

"Alright, what's your name?" The receptionist asked me.

"Kennedy Harden," I replied.

"Great, since it's your first appointment we need you to fill out these papers, but you can have a seat and fill them out and then bring them back up to me," She smiled.

The lady handed me a clipboard and I took it from her quickly. Wyatt and I went and sat down in two seats in the corner of the lobby. I uncapped the pen and started reading and answering the questions and filling in all of my personal information. I got all of my personal information and most of the questions answered, so all I needed was Wyatt's information.

"Can you fill out this part for me? I don't know all of your family's medical history?" I asked him. He nodded and took the clipboard out of my hand before filling out his portion.

"Why do they need all of this information anyway?" He asked when he finished.

"Well, there can be a lot of complications when it comes to two different people creating a new human being, so they need as much information as possible to make sure the baby stays healthy," I explained. "Also, it's asking for all the possible dates of conception, when we're all the parties?" I asked Wyatt. He pulled out his phone and listed off some possible dates, this doctor was probably going to think we were crazy. I checked all of the information before bringing the form up to the receptionist.

"Thank you dear, a nurse will be out to get you in a few minutes," She smiled, taking the clipboard from me. I nodded and headed back to my seat. I laced my fingers with Wyatt's as we say and waited for a nurse to call my name. I saw two nurses walk into the lobby out of the corner of my eye and when I turned to look at them, they were pointing at me. Great, ladies that recognized me. I squeezed Wyatt's hand tighter and dropped my head.

"Hey, it's okay. What does it matter if they're gossiping, it won't actually effect us," he reassured me as he kissed the side of my head.

"Kennedy Harden?" A voice called from the other side of the room. I saw a younger nurse in pink scrubs waiting for me. We quickly stood up and walked over to where she was standing.

"I'm Kennedy and this is my boyfriend, Wyatt," I informed her.

She nodded and smiled, "Let's head back and get you all set up." I looked a Wyatt and squeezed his hand as we started following the nurse. She lead us to one of the ultrasound rooms and handed me a cup.

"There is a bathroom across the hall Miss Harden, if you wouldn't mind giving us a urine sample, your boyfriend is free to wait in this room," She smiled. I let go of Wyatt's hand and went across the hall to do my business, thankfully, I had drunk water before we left my house. I returned with the cup and the nurse whisked it away to get a pregnancy test started.

"This feels so surreal," I whispered as I sat down on the bed with the crinkly paper.

Wyatt reached out to grab my hand, "It does, I always imagined myself doing this five to ten years down the line, not right now," he agreed. The room was set up in a way that there was a chair for your significant other to sit in right next to the bed.

"I'm glad it's now because otherwise I would still be sad and single because I let you go," I sighed. A smile broke out on his face, and he kissed me hand. Just as his lips left my hand my doctor walked in.

She tuck out her hand for me to shake, "Hello Miss Harden, I am Dr. Anne Lincoln and I will be your OBGYN this pregnancy."

"Nice to meet you, this is my boyfriend Wyatt and you can call me Kennedy," I smiled as I shook her hand. She stuck her hand out for Wyatt to shake as well and he did. She took a seat in her chair and logged into her computer.

"As you could probably guess, your pregnancy test that we did came back positive," She announced. A grin grew on my face and Wyatt looked at me with a smile on his face. Of course we knew that I was pregnant, but it was nice to have a doctor confirm it.

"Alright, since you don't know the exact date of conception, we will do an ultrasound today to determine how far along you are. With the dates you provided, we should be able to see the baby and find a heartbeat no problem even with the latest date." She added, looking at her computer screen.

"That's great," I sighed in relief. Knowing we were going to hear the heartbeat brought tears to my eyes.

She turned her chair around to face us and stood up, "Well, I will send a technician back in and she will get your ultrasound started for you and then I will come back in to tell you how everything looks."

I nodded and she headed out of the room. I squealed and hugged Wyatt.

"We're gonna see the baby!" I smiled.
