Did he just wink at me? Please don't tell me he has a crush on me because I have been stalking him for a very long time every time he comes to my house, to see my brother.

☆Flashback☆

They have been close friends ever since third grade. I remember when my brother first when into his exam hall, and he forgot to bring his pencil case. And everybody was busy concentrating on their paper. Thankfully, Ashton, who was still a stranger, gave him a pen.

My brother was glad and thankful and at the end of the exam, he couldn't stop thanking Ashton for giving him the pen. Or else, he wouldn't have time to complete his paper.

☆Back to present☆

This day just couldn't get any better, does it? It's like I've been wanting to talk to Ashton about my personal lives, but sometimes my conscious would assume that he has a girlfriend? Or ex, I may say.

Honestly speaking, I wouldn't want to be a whore, if anyone knows I have a crush on Ashton, my life would be ruined.

I'm just an ordinary girl. And he's totally popular, well used to be popular in my school. Even now, if my brother and he picks me up from school, everybody would grab a chance and take a selfie with him. But I can't. So unfair.

I have been waiting to talk to him about my personal lives and get to know about him, but it seems that it just doesn't feel right.

OK, STOP THINKING ABOUT HIM, my subconscious told me.

I had to focus on my exams to get into the right college.

"Sarah, could you please come downstairs?" My mom called out.

"Sure mom, give me a sec," I shouted.

As I got downstairs, my mom was preparing food for us.

"Hey Mom, why is there an extra plate over here?" I questioned.

"Oh, that's for Ashton. Your brother has invited him for breakfast.

I gave a wide-looked eye. Are you serious, I thought.

"Is there a problem honey?" My mom asked with a worried look on her face.

"Oh, nothing mom. I just didn't expect this to happen." I sighed.

"Honey, can I ask you something?"

"Sure mom. Anything."

"Do you, by chance, have a crush on Ashton?" She asked in with curiosity.

My face was blushing red. I couldn't let my mom notice that. She might even tell my brother.

"No mom. I wouldn't call for him. He's way out of my league. Even more, he's way too old for me." I said.

"That's good, Sarah. Well, you're free to go, dear."

"Alright mom, I'm going to school now. Bye."

"Love you, dear."

Once I enter my class, there was a group of girls at the corner, gossiping about Ashton as usual.

"Guys, do you know whom Ashton is dating?" One of the girls asked.

"Is he? OMG, who is it?" The other girl asked.

"Megan, the captain of the cheerleader." The girl said.

"Damn I thought he was single. Well too bad cuz I already got a boy to play with." She said.

It couldn't be real, I thought. How come he's taken, while he still comes to my house so often? I've just gotta find out myself.

"Hey Sarah!" Jennifer shouted.

Jennifer is my best friend. We've been friends since third grade. Sweet and helpful best friend. Very grateful to have her.

"Hi Jennifer," I answered.

"So have you heard the news?"

"What news?" I asked.

"Ashton has a girlfriend."

My face expressions were neutral.

"Oh.. that. I heard from the girls over there." I mumbled.

"Are you feeling well today, Sarah?" Jennifer asked with a worried look on her face.

"Yea.. why not?"

"Don't play games with me. I know when you say you're feeling okay with a worried look, it means something's going on." Damn, Jennifer caught me. I was indeed blushing.

"Fine. But promise me don't tell anyone. Even my brother." I stated.

"Promise. Hurry up and tell me." She said.

"I have a crush on Ashton and I have been hiding my feelings from him. It's just not the right time to confess to him even when he already had a girlfriend now." I sighed.

"I see the problem right now. Girl, you have to be brave and tell him." Jennifer claimed.

"Well, I wanted to previously. But now is different. He already has a girlfriend and even if I tell him I have a crush on him he can't just break up with the girl and be with me. That would be unfair for that girl. I'm 4 years younger than him, Jennifer." I protested.

"But you can't just keep on hiding your feelings for him. You just have to step right up and just tell him. It's easy."

"Oh yeah, easy for you to say. Don't forget, I have an over-protective brother. Plus, Ashton's best friend is my brother. What makes you think it would be easy." I said.

"Crap, that brother of yours. Don't worry, let's come out with a plan. And make sure your brother does not find out about this."

"I'm not sure about that, Jennifer. Ashton usually tells all of his secrets, literally everything to my brother. So there's no way to hide." I covered my face.

"Sarah, listen. You have to be brave and don't care about anything about that. The more you care about that, the more difficult it's gonna be for you." She said with her hands opened wide.

Thank God, no one was looking at us. Or else it would be awkward for us.

"Jennifer. Why not we just wait until Ashton confess to me?"

"No! Time waits for nobody. In addition, he wouldn't confess to you until you do it first. When one expresses his or her feelings first, the  other will also do the same." Jennifer said.

"Ok. I'll do it. Anyway, Ms. Daphine is here. We'll talk about this later." I sighed.
