Soon, it was Monday. I had nothing to talk about to Ashton. Ever since he didn't say anything after my confessions to him, not a single word spoken.

Before I go to school, I was downstairs.

"Hi sis." Sam greeted.

"Morning brother." I sighed.

"What's with the face?" He asked curiously.

"What face? This is my face, that's all." I turned.

"I know you Sarah. Your sour face tells me that there are some things that you're hiding from it." He said in a serious look.

"I have no secrets hiding from you, ok? I have to go to school, bye." I said with frustration.

"We'll talk about it later. Bye." He shouted.

My thoughts were confused. Did Ashton tell what happened the other night to my brother?

I hope he didn't because if he did, my brother would have yelled at me in the kitchen just now.

I went straight to the locker, and Jennifer came forward to cheer me up.

"Hey, I was really sorry for leaving you alone, Sarah. I had an emergency call from my mother. My grandma is now in the hospital." She was telling the truth. She didn't mean to leave me.

"It's ok Jennifer. I understand." I patted her on the shoulder.

That's what friends were for. Help each other when there are in need.

"So how did it go?" She asked.

"Terrible. I did confess to him, but all he did was stare at me." 

"Aww... It's alright Sarah. You deserve a guy better than him. After all, he's way too out of your league." She claimed.

"You're right. Maybe I have to look for someone else to be with. Ashton just keeps on hurting me. Well once bitten, twice shy." I said.

"That's the Sarah I know. By the way, if you ever need my help, my phone is always 24/7 switch on." She hugged me.

"Thanks Jennifer. :) For everything. I don't know what to do if I hadn't met you." I smiled.

- During recess - 

When Jennifer and I were eating, a girl sat next to me.

"May I know who are you?" The girl asked.

"Umm... sure. It's Sarah." I replied.

"So you were the girls whom the others were talking about." She said.

"What? Me? Who are the girls?" I asked.

"Over there. Jessica, Megan's sister, and her cheerleader team." She pointed.

"Why me?" I whispered.

"Well, maybe it was because you snatched her sister's boyfriend?" The girl exclaimed.

"Ashton? Yes, I did. But then, it's over." I said as I looked down at my food.

"So you did snatch him from her." The girl said.

"I didn't snatch him away from her. I was just talking to him." I explained.

"I don't know about all these because I'm on your side, Sarah. Name's Amy." She held out her hand.

"And that's Nicole, whom I said earlier, Megan's sister." She added on.

"Wow, you kinda know a lot about them," I said.

"Trust me, once you have been ditched by that bitch, she'll tell the whole school that you're a slut." She said.

"Oh... ok, I guess. But is that really Ashton's girlfriend? I mean Megan." I questioned.

"Apparently yes." She nodded.

"How long have they been dating?" 

"I don't know. Maybe a month or more?" She said.

"According to what people say, Megan and Ashton aren't officials yet, because Ashton doesn't really have feelings for her, but Megan is obsessed with him."

"Seriously?! Then why would Ashton date her?" I was too confused.

"Because Megan and Nicole's dad is the head principal of Ashton's college. And in order to stay in that college, he had no choice but to date Megan. It's not that they had never done any stupid things in their life before..." Amy mumbled.

"Wait, they have done it before?" I was shocked.

"Umm... yea. Because if Megan orders Ashton to do it, then he'll be forced to make love with her." She said.

I was sad and upset. I even tried my best not to cry. I felt hurt in my heart.

"Hey Sarah, we've got to get back to class or else Ms. Dalphine will be getting us a detention. Oh and hey Amy." Jennifer cut in.

"Hey, sorry didn't take notice of you. Was busy talking to Sarah." Amy replied.

"Yea.. we were just talking. Well, catch up with you soon, Amy. Thanks for telling me all those." I waved.

"No prob, see you tomorrow," Amy said.

Soon, school has ended.

When we were walking towards the gate, Jennifer asked, " Sarah, are you alright?".

"Yea, don't I look alright?" I asked.

"Not at all. You've been down ever since after recess. What did Amy tell you?" She questioned with a worried look on her face.

"It's nothing. Just wanted to know more about Ashton and Megan. Their relationship." I mumbled.

"Nope, I don't trust you. There's something you're hiding behind my back. Just say it out. I won't get mad or anything." She said.

"Jennifer, I just couldn't believe what Amy said. It's just so real. My head is spinning because of this matter." I argued.

"Sarah, I know you're still not over with Ashton and you want to know more about him, but can you just calm your tits and listen?" She said calmly.

"Fine." I finally said.

"What Amy said doesn't mean it's true. You have to do your own research and check it out. Don't listen to third party talking, just because they may be your friends or not. You can ask your brother as Ashton's his best friend. But don't ever over-react because once he caught you liking Ashton, that's the end of your life." Jennifer shook my shoulder.

"But I can't already. Not when I'm in such a mess right now." I cried.

"Ok, maybe not today or tomorrow. You can ask him one of the days when you're calmed down and not over-thinking. Just ask your brother coolly. And maybe he'll consider to tell you more information about Ashton. That way, you'll have a clue and whether Amy is telling the truth or lie." She said.

"Does she usually lie to people?" I asked, wiping my tears away.

"Well sometimes, that's why I need you to double confirm with your brother, Sam. He knows most of Ashton's personal life and relationships between Megan and him." She explained.

"You sure about it?" I asked quietly.

"Yeap, so don't you worry about it. When do I put my best friend into a trap?" She smiled.

"Seldom actually." I smiled.

"Trust me, everything will be alright after then. We'll get through this difficulty together and figure it out." She said.

I nodded my head, and we finally reached my house.
