"Can you pass me the syrup?" Hunter asks me from across the table.

I reach over and pass him the syrup as my dad grabs another pancake from the plate.

"Jax, do you want more?" My dad asks him. "Don't be shy to get another one there's plenty."

"Oh, he's not even finished yet. He's just getting started." Hunter chuckles.

"Thank you, Mr. Delgado." Jax politely says.

"What are you kids planning to do today?" My dad wonders, chewing on his pancake.

"Jax and I are going to a carnival with Rebecca and some guys from the basketball team." Hunter explains.

My heart dropped at the mention of Rebecca. Jax was supposed to break up with her the night he picked me up from Charlie's. I thought he did but at the sound of her name I knew he had yet to.

I could feel him staring at me from next to me as I silently ate my food.

"How's the team?" He asks.

"The season starts soon but we've just been practicing for the most part." Jax tells him.

"Why don't you take Emma with you today? You guys can all have fun, huh?" Dad suggests.

Hunter and Jax look at each other as I ignore their stares and look at my dad with a glare. He shrugs at me and looks at Hunter as he waits for an answer.

"We're gonna be with our friends dad. It's not a good idea she'll be bored." Hunter says.

"It's fine, Marissa is coming over later anyways. We're probably going to the movies or something." I say.

As much as I would enjoy being around Jax for the day I couldn't help but feel angry that he lied to me. We had been messing around since Wednesday and he's still with his girlfriend. I felt ashamed. Worst of all, I felt like all the other girls he uses.

"Why not? You can take Marissa too. Go, you'll have fun. I'll give you money, hold on." My dad quickly gets up from the table and runs over to the kitchen.

"What are you doing? Tell him you don't want to go. I'm not taking you." Hunter says in a hushed voice.

The Hunter I had seen a couple days ago crying on my shoulder was now gone. He disguised himself as strong and untouchable. He made me promise not to tell anyone about him crying. He said it made him look weak but I thought it made him strong.

He didn't see himself how I saw him.

"Does it look like I want to spend all day with you and your stupid friends?" I snap. "We'll all go our separate ways."

Dad comes back into the dining room and places a couple of twenties next to me. He hands Hunter some money too and even offers Jax but he wouldn't budge. Jax never accepted other people's money. It took him a lot to even accept his father's money.

"Thanks, dad. You're right I'm going to tell Marissa to come now and we'll all go together." I say, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"See, you guys go have fun. I'm sure you're overreacting Hunter." Dad says.

Glaring at me, Hunter angrily picks up a piece of pancake and shoves it in his mouth. I wasn't planning on being anywhere near Hunter and his friends. I was planning on doing my thing with Marissa at the carnival and Hunter could go do whatever he wanted.

"Make sure you guys bundle up it's going to be cold tonight." Dad says.

I nod and stand up as I finish my breakfast and thank him on my way to the kitchen. I place my dirty plate in the sink along with my cup and begin to wash it.

I hum to myself as I'm washing the dishes and suddenly I begin to feel someone breathe down my neck.

"Boo!" Jax yells in my ear making the plate slip out of my hand and back into the sink.

"What the fuck, Jax. You scared the crap out of me." I say, feeling my heart throb against my chest.

He chuckles and places a couple of plates on the counter before pressing his body against mine.

"I hate not being able to do this." He whispers in my ear and wraps his arms around my waist. In a swift motion his hands move down my waist and he finds his way through my leggings.

"Jax." I moan. I let the water run and hold myself up against the sink. "Stop."

"Whats wrong?" He questions, moving my shirt and planting kisses on my shoulder.

"Rebecca." I simply say, trying to keep my composure.

He sighs. "It's handled."

Without another word he rubs on me and I throw my head back, gripping onto the sink.

"Someone could come in." I tell him, my voice coming out uneasy.

"Your dad's upstairs with Hunter." He says.

He nibbles on my ear, sending shivers down my back and I groan as his hand finds its way inside my panties.

"Fuck." I let out.

As he moves his finger thoroughly, he presses his body even closer to mine making me let out a loud moan.

Within seconds we hear loud thumps coming down the stairs and Jax immediately pushes himself off of me. He grabs the plates from beside me and pretends to be passing them to me just as my dad and Hunter walk in.

"What was that noise?" My dad asks, looking between us.

"Uh," I hesitate.

"Emma dropped the plate in the sink. You know how clumsy she is." Jax quickly says.

I tried slowing down my breathing as Jax stood next to me and I replayed what just happened in my head.

"Are you ready to go?" Hunter speaks, looking at Jax.

He hands me the plates and I continue to wash them as my dad takes a seat on the stool and Jax goes over to Hunter.

"Yeah, let's go." Jax says.

"Wait, where are you going?" I ask, turning around to see them about to leave the kitchen.

"We'll be back in a little. Tell Marissa to get here quick and get ready." Hunter says.

"Thanks for the breakfast, Mr. Delgado." Jax says over his shoulder.

"No problem, Jax. You're welcomed any time." My dad responds.

As I finish washing the dishes, I dry my hands and leave the kitchen. I quickly walk into to my room and close the door behind me.

Jax had left my legs with tingles as he didn't get to finish and it left me wanting even more of him.

This whole week had been amazing sneaking around with Jax but it aggravated me that he was still with someone else. I couldn't get enough. I wanted him to myself.

I had already showered earlier so as I stared at my closet, I had no idea what to wear. I wanted to look presentable while being comfortable at the same time.

I took out the first thing I saw which was my black ripped jeans and a plain red hoodie. I quickly changed into the clothes and walked over to my dresser.

Looking in the mirror, I noticed how you could barely see the hickey's Jax left. I applied just enough foundation over them to not be seen and started doing my makeup.

I applied mascara along with some foundation and blush before moving on to my hair. Brushing it out, I let it fall over my shoulders and tucked one side behind my ear.

Satisfied, I text Marissa telling her to start making her way here. She lived a couple blocks away so it wouldn't take her too long to get here.

"Where's Emma?" I hear Hunter say from the kitchen.

Stepping out of my room, I walk down the hall and into the kitchen to see Hunter and Jax snacking on some chips. My dad was still sitting on the stool, working away on his laptop.

"Are we leaving now?" I ask, looking between them.

As I walked over to Hunter, I dipped my hand into the bag of chips only for him to smack it away and glare at me.

Standing next to them, I couldn't help but notice the strong smell that radiated off of them. I stare at both of them dead in the eye and immediately saw the redness that surrounded their eyes.

"Are you guys high?" I whisper, sniffing them.

Jax and Hunter look at each other eyes wide open and within seconds burst out laughing.

"You're high." Jax giggles.

"Are you dumb? Do you know what dad will do to you guys if he finds out?" I say in a hushed voice making sure he couldn't hear me.

"What's he going to do, ground us?"Jax jokes.

"He's a cop, idiot." I say to him.

I loved how even with us being involved nothing changed. He was still the same old Jax. Just how I liked it. I knew those snarky comments were apart of an act around Hunter.

"Shh." Hunter hushes me.

Rolling my eyes I turn away from them and walk out of the kitchen and head to my room.

I've never seen Jax or Hunter high before. I knew they smoked when they were at parties but they made sure to keep it away from me. They'd never come home high especially with my dad being here.

Sighing to myself, I grab my shoes from the closet and slip them on. I grab my phone before exiting my room and going into the living room. Grabbing the money from the table, I slip it into my back pocket and enter the kitchen once again.

"Where did they go?" I turn to my dad.

"They're waiting for you outside."

"Okay, I'll see you later." I give him a kiss on the cheek.

"Be safe and call if you need anything." He tells me.

I leave the kitchen and make my way to the door. Opening it, I see Hunter, Marissa and Jax talking by Jax's car.

"Hey." I say to Marissa. I pull her into my chest and give her a hug, ignoring as Jax eyes me up and down.

"Did your dad see how high they are?" Marissa chuckles.

"Doubt it." I shrug. "Can you drive? I'm not letting Jax drive like this."

"I can drive." Jax says, rolling his eyes.

"Better safe than sorry." I tell him. "Keys."

I extend my hand out and watch as Jax takes out his keys from his pocket and hesitantly hands them over to me. Throwing them at Marissa she catches them and gets into the drivers seat.

"Shot gun!" Hunter yells out.

"Looks like you're stuck with me in the back." Jax whispers into my ear.

"Keep your hands to yourself, mister."
