He picked up on the second ring.

"Darling?" He said through the phone and I could hear paper shuffling.

"Hi Dari, where are you?" I asked him while putting on my clothes.

"I'm at my office, I've got some paperwork to finish up." He said sounding tired.

"Oh okay, see you soon." I said hanging up before he could say anything.

I got ready and called a Uber, I planned on going to Enzo's office today. I've never been there so I texted Luke telling him to ask Lilly where her brother's office was, in no time he replied back sending me the location.

I went out the house just as the Uber came and got in. It was a good little distance but I finally found the big building. 

Damn, it looks really tall.

It's so beautiful. I could just stay out here the whole day viewing it.

I went up to the building which had some security guards. I didn't even know where to go or turn. I suddenly felt like turning back.

"Good evening ma'am, welcome to the 'Romano Empire'. How may I help you?" One of the security guards asked me, he was huge and buffed. His voice was also so serious that I almost got scared. Almost.

"Hello, I'm here to see En- Mr. Romano." I caught on before realizing what I was gonna say.

"Can I please see your ID?" He asked and I took it out of my bag giving it to him.

"Okay, you can just go inside where you see that lady at the front desk and tell her your information." He said pointing to the lady and I told him thanks making my way over to her.

When I reached her she looked up and rolled her eyes saying. "How may I help you?" She said faking a smile.

"Hi, good evening. I'm Brielle Reid and I am here to see Mr. Romano." I said in the sweetest way possible.

"Do you have an appointment?" She asked with attitude. I really wanted to smack her right in the face.

"Um no, I didn't know I needed one." I said, crap I didn't think about that part.

"Well you can't see him without one, for all I know you're just another one trying to seduce Mr. Romano." She said shrugging, well she's not wrong there I would seduce him any day but damn is she unprofessional. 

I just avoided her comment and continue.

"Can you please just let him know 'Brielle' is here to see him?" I said tiredly.

"He's in a meeting, why would I disturb him for you? a nobody." She hissed at me and I rolled my eyes walking away to sit on the chair. Enzo needs a better receptionist though, her attitude stank. 

I could always call him but I didn't want to disturb his meeting for nothing so I'll just wait.

I've been here for 2 hours now and that bitch keeps staring at me, I honestly just avoid looking at her.

"You know, you're not going to see him at all so why don't you just leave?" She said with a fake concern. Before I could answer, the work phone suddenly rang and I perked up when I heard her say sir.

"Yes sir, there's this girl down here waiting for you like a stalker for 2 hours, should I let security throw her out?" She asked over the phone smirking at me but it disappeared within a second.

"Dark brown hair, blue eyes, said her name was Brie-." She didn't get to finish but I saw her eyes widened and heard her say a quick 'yes sir'. After that she hung up and look towards me.

"Sir said you can come up, he's on the 80th floor." She said and quickly looked away. I told her thanks then got on the elevator and plunged in the number 80.

While I stood there for a good amount of time, my phone suddenly rang and I saw it was 'Enzo'. I answered it and put it to my ears.

"Baby, why didn't you tell me you were coming? Fuck Elle, I would have canceled that meeting to come get you, I didn't like the fact that you waited for 2 long hours." He said concerned.

"I was okay Dari, I promise. I'll see you soon okay. I'm in the elevator." I said hanging up on him.

I don't know why I like hanging up on people, I just think it's fun. Am I a psycho?

I finally reached the floor and was completely lost again. I looked around and saw a young man walking towards me smiling. 

He looked younger than Enzo, about 23 or so and he's cute. He had black hair, brown eyes, his body was lean but handsome nonetheless and he also had a lip ring which I noticed when he stopped in front of me.

"Well hello gorgeous, I am Mark Scott, It's a pleasure to meet such a lovely lady like you." He said bowing dramatically and I had to laugh, he continued. "I'm Mr. Romano's assistant. He sent me to get you I believe." He said shaking my hands.

"Hi, lovely to meet you too and please call me Brielle." I said bowing too and he laughed, I can already tell we're gonna be friends.

"Okay, follow me." He said turning around walking the opposite direction.

"So, are you a model because you're too beautiful not to be one." He said and I blushed.

"Charming I see! Thank you but no I'm not and are you flirting with me?" I said teasingly and he laughed.

"Definitely not, I have a boyfriend if you must know, however I do appreciate beauty when I see it." He said smirking and I smiled nodding my head.

"I would definitely flirt with my boss though, no question asked. He is beyond sexy." He whispered to me while fanning himself and I laughed out really loud which caused some people to look at us. 

Me too Mark, me too.

"I just know we're gonna be great friends." I said as we fist-bumped each other just as we stopped at a big door with Enzo's name on it.

We laughed again and knocked. I heard a deep voice say 'come in', he pushed the door open and stepped inside with me.

Enzo immediately stood up the moment he saw me and pulled me into a bear hug.

"I can't breathe." I said breathlessly and he let go saying sorry.

I took a look around the room and it was mostly grey and white. There is a big grey leather chair around an enormous desk. The office looked like it had been recently remodeled and the furniture includes; a huge bookcase, a coffee maker, a table with legs described as 'twisted treacle' and a white L-shape couch sofa-bed. 

You can even look down from his office seeing the busy streets. It's truly breathtaking.

"See you later Brielle." Mark said smirking and left.

As soon as he left, Enzo pulled me in a hot passionate kiss that left me wanting more, but he stopped.

"Hi darling." He said breathlessly smiling while opening his jacket, taking a seat and pulling me onto his lap. By now I was red as a tomato.

"Hi Dari." I said sitting properly in his lap and let my hands wonder in his soft hair.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming." He asked wrapping his hands around my waist sighing.

"I just wanted to surprise you, we haven't seen each other since Monday." I said frowning.

"True, you were always putting me off when I asked to meet you." He said laughing and I gave him a 'sorry' look because I know I just didn't want him to see my face bruised up.

"It's okay angel." He said kissing my nose and I smiled.

"How are you though?" He suddenly asked me while tracing circles on my waist absentmindedly.

"I'm good, how is work going for you?" I asked while getting more comfortable in his lap, still playing in his hair.

"So fucking stressing, all I wanna do is go home and rest. You'd think that being a boss is easy but damn it is so tiring baby." He said leaning his head on my shoulder closing his eyes.

Before I could reply, there was a knock on his door. He opened his eyes telling the person to come in. 

I tried getting off his lap but he tightened his hold on me and I gave him a disapproving look which he smiled at.

A beautiful woman who's probably the same age as Enzo walked in holding a file. When she stepped in and saw me that too in her boss's lap she looked surprised but covered it with a genuine smile. At least she doesn't seem stuck up, I thought to myself.

"Good evening sir, ma'am. Here is the file you asked me for and remember that you have to go to the Law Firm @4 to interview 5 more people." She said handing him the file. 

She sounds really professional, I like it!

"Thanks Petrina, I'll handle it. I'm about to go now, please handle things here while I'm out." He said to her.

"Yes sir I will, be safe." She said stepping out.

I turned to Enzo and asked. "Why did you put those interviews so late?" He smiled standing up with me then set me down on my feet and then button back his jacket.

"Well I'm really busy most days baby, so I had to squeeze in the interview at that time. However I'm really glad that no-one had a problem with it." He said picking up his briefcase.

"Come on, you're coming with me." He said smirking and intertwined our fingers together as we walked out.

When we were in the elevator going down he whispered in my ear. "Can I get another kiss angel?" I looked up at him and saw that he was pouting, I stifled a laugh thinking of this big hot CEO pouting just for a kiss.

I stood on the tip of my toes reaching up and pecked his lips, he smiled brightly and pecked my forehead. I just blushed hugging him.

The elevator finally stopped and we stepped out. As we were about to pass the receptionist, he stopped suddenly and looked at her with a serious expression.

"I know that you didn't know who she was and that's why you felt the need to not disturb me, but if you ever and I mean ever let her wait again, meeting or not, I will fire you. The moment you see her step through that front door, you let her through immediately whether I am in a meeting or not. Am I clear Miss White?" He said in a boss tone. Damn! Why am I turned on right now?

"Yes sir, It won't happen again." She said shakily lowering her head. He nodded then led me out of the building and to where his car was parked.

"You didn't have to be so hard on her." I said even though I was rejoicing in my mind. Am I evil?

"You're not fooling me angel, I can tell you liked it very much." He laughed at me pecking my lips. That wasn't a lie.

I joined in too because I did like it. 

We finally reached his car, he went around my side opening the door for me so I got in and after closing my door he went to his side getting in. We buckled up, then we were on our way to the law firm after giving me another peck on my cheek. I could get used to this, I thought to myself.

I was so excited to see what the law firm looked like.
