"No."

 "Please!"

"Get someone else to do it."

You pouted. "I tried! Ayato and Laito went to the high school party, and Kanato is locked in the cellar by Reiji so that he can't, and Shīsuta-Chan is busy catching up on homework, and Reiji said that it's stupid, so you're my last hope Shu-sama!"

 Shu rolled his eyes.

"Pleeeeease! Nothing bad will happen if you're there! And I'm only allowed to go if someone comes with!"

 "No, you're too young."

"I can handle trick or treating!" You poked him aggressively.

"I meant for the real reason you're not allowed to go alone." Shu sighed, poking you back.

"Hey!" You whined, rubbing your forehead. "I just really want to see it!"

"I'm not taking you. You're going cry, and people would be screaming. Too much work."

"If you won't take me I'm going alone! I am going to see that haunted house!"

He rolled his eyes, again, and frowned at you. "No."

"You can't stop me!" You grinned in triumph.

Then faltered back a step.

Why is he smiling?

You got your answer when you were assaulted by tickling hands, making you shriek and try to hit them away to no avail.

Finally you squealed and collapsed to the floor. Laying still.

"... Brat?" Shu asked slowly, kneeling down beside you. "Are you okay? Come on, stop being so troublesome. Just get up... Y/n?"

"Hah!" You shouted as you lunged towards him, toppling him over. You returned the tickles in kind, though it was less the tickling and more your efforts that made him chuckle slowly.

 "Alright. You got me."

"Nee-hee! I win! That means you have to take me!"

 "What?"

"Go get into a costume!" You shouted, racing away.

Shu watched the excited girl dart away, a slight smile gracing his face. (le gasp) He headed upstairs, changing into a pair of jeans and tossing his jacket onto the bed.

Stepping into the hall you spotted him, you were now dressed in an adorable bunny costume, mainly due to the fact that Kanato had made it for you and it was the only costume you had. In your hands was a wicker basket filled with colored plastic eggs, completing your costume as the easter bunny. Plus you'd be able to carry candy in it.

It's a win/win.

"Shu-sama!" You glared at him. "You're not wearing a costume! Not cool man!"

Shu stared at you blankly. "I don't have one."

When he saw your spreading grin of evilness he knew that that was the wrong thing to say.

"Hmm, well it's a good thing I may or may not have anticipated that."

Somehow he felt this was not a good thing for him.

"It sure is lucky that it fit!" You cheered as you skipped down the sidewalk. Shu was sulking behind you, cloaked in black. A vampire costume, how original. "It's neat that you don't have to use fake teeth either! Of course, those are pretty awful... But not scary! Yay!"

You weren't so much trick or treating as much as you were heading in a beeline for the haunted house nearest you. Not that Shu much cared. Once you got there you stood in line, pouting and tapping your foot with impatience. The screams from inside were making him glance at you, slight worry evident. These things were pretty corny, but someone coming at you with a chainsaw could be labeled as startling.

"Finally!" You sent a wide grin over at Shu, who was walking in beside you. He caught grasp of your hand when some 'skulls' abruptly caught on fire.

"Hehe, scared?" You teased, squeezing his hand. Unfortunately for you this caused a distraction. A large formless thing came towards you, shifting between looking likke the outline of a man and that of a wolf, you let out a scream when something cold and metal brushed the back of your neck. Shu dragged you to the next room where the two of you stood in darkness.

"Scared?" He asked back at you.

"Shut up."

A slight murmering started in the room, it seemed to be walking through there, the slight creaking of floorboards making your hairs stand on end, the sound of a door closing had you reach for Shu's hand. Catching it you sighed in relief. "Where's the exit?" You whispered.

You felt Shu's hand move up a little and assumed he just shrugged.

You blinked when flickering light filled the room, a haggard looking woman was standing by a flaming kettle.

"Um, hello?"

"Hello there. Would you care to take a look?" She smiled, gesturing to the kettle.

"No." Shu said coldly. Then picked you up. "We'll be going." As he walked to the other end of the room he cast wary looks at the flames, cracking and spitting.

Once the two of you finally escaped, after much screaming and him punching a guy with a knife, you smiled nervously.

"We're going home."

"But-"

"Home."
