SKYLAR'S P.O.V

'WAKE UP SKY!' I heard someone yell but I just put my pillow over my head to drown him out.

'GET YOUR LAZY BUTT UP!' I heard before someone jumped on me.

'Ow! What the hell is wrong with you?' I scream looking down at Ashton laying across my legs laughing.

'Hey I've been trying to wake you up for fifteen minutes.' He said as he sat up at the end of the bed.

' Whatever you still didn't have to crush me.' I mumbled getting out of bed and looking at the clock. 6:30am!

'Why the hell are you waking me up this early what is your problem.' I yell hitting him with my pillow as I lay back down.

'Hey your the idiot that said you would run with Bryce to day.' He chuckled pulling the blankets off me.

'So what.' I said tugging them back.

'He runs every day at 7:30am. I thought you would want to eat before you leave but never mind miss grumpy panties.' He said getting up and walking away.

'Grumpy panties really.' I snort.

'Yes really.' his face was blank but his eyes shined with amusement.

'I'll me down in 15 better have my food ready sweetie.' I smiled sweetly at him before going to the bathroom to begin my daily routine.

'Anything for you princess.' I hear him mumble before going down stairs.

Fifteen minutes later Im dressed and eating my breakfast.

'Good morning cupcake.' Bryce smiled as he walked in.

'How the hell are you not tired?' I glared at him for not being tired like me.

'Because beautiful I've been doing this for years. Its part dad of the train my dad used to make me do.' He smiled while he scarfed down his food.

'Oh well...' I let it hang not really knowing how to finish that sentence.

'Are you ready?' Bryce asks as he gets up to put his plate in the sink.

I look over to the clock to see the time. 7:15am.

'Yea let's go.' I sighed heading to the back door with him in tow.

'I wanna show you some thing. I think you'll like it.' He smiled as we walked towards the woods.

'Oh yea what is it?' I asked.

'Can't tell its a surprise.' He laughed. I felt giddy I always loved surprises especially the ones from my dad.

Once I got into the trees I shifted. I felt free as the wind blew through my golden fur. I always loved the feel of running out in the open in wolf-form. I heard a bark and turned around to see a chestnut colored wolf staring at me in shock.

I should probably tell you that there a three rare types of wolfs. White, silver and gold, gold being the rarest cause there are only five of us. I walked over to him and nipped at his ear then took of running so he could chase me. There is nothing like a game of tag in wolf-form.

About half an hour later I was running the wind rushing threw my fur, I heard a bark and stopped. I looked around and crouched in a fighting stance. I didn't see anything where was Bryce.

As soon as that thought passed through my mind he came charging out of the brush and tackled me. I growled at him playfully before he got up and shifted. (Thank got we kept our clothes when we shift or that would have be awkward.)

'Shift Sky our wolves won't fit through the opening.' He said and waited for me to shift.

After I changed he grabbed my hand and pulled my through the brush into a cave entrance. He was right our wolves wouldn't fit.

'Do you trust me.' He asked out of the blue.

'Yes.' I whispered.

'Close your eyes.' He said and I did until he stopped and said.
' Now open.'

I gasped in surprise. It was breathtaking. It was a small pond with a vibrant blue waterfall pouring into it. The pond was surrounded by a beautiful meadow with colorful flowers.

'Wow!' I gapes at the sight before me.

'I take it you like it.' He chuckled softly.

'Like it I love it Bry I can't believe you brought me here.' I whisper/yelled.

' I'm glad you love it. I come here for peace. This is my thinking place and no one knows about it other than you.' He said.

'Bet.' I whined 'You didn't have to share your special place with me.'

'Its fine Sky even though we bearly know each other I can't help but see you as my little sister.' He said sitting at the edge of the pond.

I walked over and sat beside him and layer my head on his shoulder.

' I know what you mean.' I sighed.

'One day I plan on finding mate and bringing her here. This would be the perfect place to propose don't you think?' His voice held pain and longing in it.

'It would be perfect she is going to be one lucky girl to get you for a mate.' I smiled up at him.

'It sucks you know. Most of my friends have their mates while I don't.' He sounded so sad it broke my heart.

'Ash and Case don't have theirs.' I said quietly.

'I know but Ashton travels a lot looking for his mate and Case well we thinks she doesn't want one.' He huffed. 'Its only a matter of time before Ash finds his mate then I'll be alone.'

I wiped the tears away 'Don't give up Bry. I know how you feel but you'll get through it.' I said trying to comfort him.

'No you don't you have a mate.' he said. No one knows about my relationship with Luke.

'My mate is my best friend who lied to me about it for a couple months . He doesn't even want me.' I sigh as I felt Bry stiffen.

'Shit.' He whispered 'I'm sorry Sky what an ass. He doesn't deserve you. I didn't know from the way he acted when he was here you wouldn't think that.' He said.

'I know and its ok.' I smiled. After that we talked about random things like what my favorite color, his fave food, and so on.

'We got to go.' Bryce says standing up quickly and dragging me with him.

'What why?' I asked panicked. What was going on.

'Ash wants us back we have guests.' he said his face set I anger.

We walked silently the rest of the way hand in hand.We walked into the house and what I saw next made my heart sink.

'Mason.' I whispered tears filled my eyes. He looked like an old beggar. What if he's mad I did call him when I woke up?

'Sis.' He breathed an came towards me. I felt relieved standing there hugging my brother. He wasn't mad, or upset he understood I could see it in his eyes. He understood my need to escape.

'I was so scared.' He admitted when he let go his eyes shone with tears.

'I know I'm so sorry I should have let Ash tell you I was awake.' I sighed.

'Its okay I understand you needed time.' He smiled weakly before he hugged me again.

'Hey Sky.' Coming down stairs he must have took a shower cause his hair was wet.

'Hey.' I say as he thows his arm over my shoulder.

'Oh Mase this is Bryce. Bry this is...' I was cut off by the front door flying off its hinges with a very pissed off Luke standing in the door way.

He looked ready to kill. His canines and claws were out. His eyes pitch black and he was staring at me.

'Mate' My wolf whispered and I sighed.

'Hey man what the hell.' Bryce whined at the door laying at our feet causing Lukes attention to flick over to him. If possible his eyes got darker and he shook harder. I wondered why until I realized Bryce still had his arm around me.
Shit I mentally cursed my self.

'Hey Bry.' I whispered loud enough for only him to hear.

'Yea.' He whispered back sounding nervous.

'I need you to take your arm from around me and move away slowly with no sudden movements ok?' I instructed him.

'No fucking problem.' He replied before doing what I said when he reached the kitchen he ran like a bat out of hell. Leaving just me, my brother and Luke.

Luke started to stalk towards me as if I were his pray. Each step he took forward I took back until my back hit the wall.

'Why do these things always happen to me.' I whine to myself.

I stood there waiting, waiting for him to hit me or yell, something but he didn't he just hugged me as if he was afraid I would disappear. Even though I hate to admit it but I liked it, liked him holding me.

'I missed you' He whispered with a broken voice putting his head into the crook of my neck. I started to squirm he was squeeze to tight.

'Please don't run away from me baby. I need to you.' He whimpered and I felt water drops on my shoulder and realized he was crying.

'He needs me.' I thought to myself.

'Luke.' I say leaning back to see his face. He looked so scared and vulnerable but hopeful. It broke my heart. He was my mate I could see it now and as much as I hate seeing him hurt he lied to me for years.

'Please let me go.' I whispered as a tear fell from my eyes. I watched his face fall when he let me go.

'But why? I missed you Sky. I thought...' He sobbed before I cut him off.

' You lied to me.' I stated as I walked past him.

'Skylar.' I heard him cry.

'I m going to bed good night.' I shouted. I ran to my room when I heard Luke start yelling.

And for the first time in months I cried myself to sleep.

LUKE'S P.O.V

When we arrived I waited in my car while Mason spoke to Ashton about us being here early. Why Mason and not me you ask? Well because my wolf has been acting up since we crossed boarders.

As Im waiting I see movement in the corner of my eye. Looking over I see a red headed girl and auburn colored hair laughing and walking hand and hand to the house. As they got closer I could make out their faces. It was Skylar she's up!

'Go to her now.' my wolf growled at me. As I got out of the car I froze.

'Wait is this why you've been acting up.' I asked him.

' I wasn't acting up I was trying to get your attention and tell you mate was awake' he snapped.

'Damn sorry.' I said

'You will be if you don't go to mate.' He snarled at me before going where ever it is he goes.

I walk up to the house and was about to knock until I looked through the window and saw the guy with auburn hair slig his arm over Sky's shoulder.

'Who the hell does he think he is touching my mate.' I growled and threw the door open. I stood there as I watched it fly across the room and fall at their feet.

I guess pushed harder than I thought I did.I thought as I looked up and caught Skylar's eyes.

The world stopped I felt it, I felt the mate bond, a tingling sensation flow through out my body. Did she feel it? How would it feel...

My thoughts where interrupted by the man yelling.

'Hey man what the hell.' He whined. I looked to him and seen he was still touching what's mine.

'Rip his throat out.' My wolf snarled inside my head.

'I...' I stopped when I watched him slowly moved towards a door before running out as if rogues were chasing him.

'Mutt has some sense.' I muttered to my wolf before looking back to Sky. I checked her out to make sure she wasn't hurt or anything before stepping towards her.

Every step I took she took backwards until she backed up into the corner. I almost laughed as I seen her aggravation of her situation. I stood there looking at her thinking of something to say. But I couldn't think of anything so I hugged her.

I felt her stiffen before she relaxed under my touch. The sparks I felt before were stronger and I couldn't help but smile as I put my head in the crook of her neck knowing she felt what I did now.

'I missed you.' I whispered to her and that was the truth. I was a wreck without her. She started to squirm in my arms so I tightened my grip a little more.

'Please don't run away from me baby. I need you.' I whimpered. I felt her stop moving and stiffen until then I realized I was crying.

'Luke.' She said leaning back. I stared into her eyes waiting for her to say something praying she wouldn't run from me.

'Please let me go.' She whispered and looked away. I felt my heart ache because my mate did like my touch, didn't like me holding her.

'But why? I missed you Sky. I thought...' I cried as I let her go and stepped back.

'You lied to me.' She said as she looked at me with tear stained eyes before she walked away.

'Sky.' I cried for her. I know I sound and look pathetic the worlds second meanest, strongest alpha standing here crying but I couldn't care less as I cried out for my mate.

'I'm going to bed good night.' She said as she walked upstairs. I looked up at Mason to see him standing there shocked at what just happened. Its not every day you see an alpha cry and beg.

I wiped my tears and sat on the couch next to him. I hurt her I know I did even though I didn't mean to and I know I'm going to have to go through hell to get her to forgive me. Skylar is one of the strongest people I know and doesn't forgive or forgot easily. I sighed thinking of ways to fix this.

'Luke.' I heard and turned to see Mason, Ashton and that same guy standing in front of me.

'I think you should tell her the truth before you hurt each other more.' Mason said you could see the sadness for his sister held in his eyes.

'He's right you know.' The boy who was with my mate said. 'I'm Bryce...'

'I don't give a damn who you are pup.' I snarled at him he just stood there as if I didn't just say anything.

'Let him finish.' Ashton said coming to stand next to Bryce.

'I don't need to hear what he has to say.' I growl at him and watch his eyes darken.

'Yes you do Luke.' Mason said going to stand by them.

'What are you doing? Choosing their side.' I snarled taking a step to them.

'If you don't listen to what he says you won't get my sister, she will stay here which means so will I. Now stop being stupid and fucking listen.' He said calmly acting as if he didn't just threaten me. But I knew he was right.

'Fine.' I mumbled sinking back onto the couch.

'She thinks you don't want her that you would rather have some girl named Jade. She thinks that you didn't tell her you were mates because your going to reject her since I quote.' I'm not good enough to be his Luna' Bryce finished after telling us about how she opened up during their run.

'She told me the same thing when I spoke about calling you yesterday after she begged me not to.' Ashton added.

I stood there shocked. She didn't believe this how could she believe those things.

'WHAT NO I HAVEN'T EVEN TOUCHED THAT SLUT SINCE I FOUND OUT THAT SKY WAS MY MATE. AND OF COURSE I WANT HER. I'VE ALWAYS WANTED HER. I've been in love with her since we met.' I whispered the last part.

'We know that but she doesn't.' Mason said as he got up and went to leave the room.

'Where are you going.' I asked him.

'To find my little sister since she decided to go to sleep at one in the afternoon.' He said as he kept walking without even glancing at us.

'Third floor first door on the right.' Bryce yelled at Masons retreating figure.

'I guess your staying the night then. Cause that girl is stubborn.' Ashton smirked at me as he left.

I couldn't help but smile as I thought of Skylar. This is gonna be a long night. But don't worry I will have you back my little mate.
