Luke's p.o.v

I groaned as I woke to the bright sun shining through my window. I had fell asleep in my office again. In my chair at my desk for the third night in a row. I quietly snuck into my room to change and shower. After my quick shower I looked over and I stared at my beautiful mate sleeping. The sun light gracing her face making her look even more angelic. I can't believe she's mine. This woman I've loved for years was mine. Her smile, her laughter, her touch it was all mine the moon goddess blessed me. And there is nothing that would take her from me.

It's been weeks and we haven't been able to get anything. Toby was very careful about covering his tracks. The bastard was sneaky. We were going in circles just waiting for him to make a mistake. He stalks Cecilia as if she were his prey. Where ever she goes he's not to far behind watching her. But he's good about it. We know he's stalking her every move but he makes it look like he is just wondering about. They'll be in the same room but he will look as if he is doing anything but following her.

None of it sat easy with Danny. His wolf was anxious he wanted to mark her to keep her safe but it was safer for no one to know they were mates. It was to much of a risk for them to know that she had a mate since her brother was already in danger and putting another person in harms way was something we were trying to avoid.

We had to come up with a game plan and fast. The pack was anxious the rogues were increasing and rumors were being spread slowly increasing the panic and there was only so much we could do as alphas to calm that uneasiness when we had no answers ourselves.

What was his motive his end game? What did he get for betraying his pack?

A knock on my office door brought me out of my thoughts. Before I could answer the door swung open and Alpha Ashton and six of his pack mates strolled in.

'You look like shit.' He commented taking in my appearance. I've been in my office all night trying to come up with something anything.

'Why thanks it's not every day that someone waltz into my office uninvited and insults me.' I said every word dripping with sarcasm.

'Hey just trying to lighten the mood.' He said raising his hands in surrender.

'Your stressed we get it that's why Sky invited us here.' Bry said.

'Sky did what?' I questioned. Did she invited them cause she thinks I can't handle the situation.

'We don't have much time.' Sky said busting in my office slamming the door. Even with her face flushed and hair wild she was breathtaking.

'Sky.' I said slowly waiting for her to meet my eyes. When she looked up and smiled at me I couldn't be mad this woman she was gonna be the death of me.

'I know I invited another Alpha without your permission but you can yell at me later. ' She said quickly.

'Not mad you just need to explain. You are this packs Luna after all.' I stated watching as she took a deep breath. I felt waves of nervousness flowing off of her.

'I couldn't sleep last night you never came to bed.' She frowned.

'I know I tried.' I said.She was trying to stall.

'I had this idea and it involves Ashton. Toby never strays far from Cecilia so I asked him if he and Danny could assist her while she went grocery shopping. That leaves us enough time to snoop through his room. That's where they come in he doesn't know their scents. He'll sniff it out and get paranoid and hopefully slip up enough to lead us to the rest of the rogues. If that's ok with you.' She rushed out. I was surprised my little mate came up with that all on her own. I felt proud.

'That's the best plan we've came up with yet.' I smiled at her hoping she could feel the love I had for her.

'We don't have much time. Where is his room?' Ashton asked.

'It's on the second floor left wing third door down.' I told him where it was and with that they left me and my mate alone.

'I'm sorry Skylar.' I sighed heavily.

'For what?' She looked at me confusion etched into her beautiful face.

'I haven't been a good mate lately it's been days since we shared a bed.' I said smiling apologetically .

'I'm not mad I understand that this is important. Your slightly obsessed but your trying to keep your people safe. I can't be mad at you for that.' She said gently before she leaned down and pecked my lips.

'While they search why don't I give my mate some very much needed TLC.' Sky whispered seductively in my ear before she got off my lap and walked off switching her hips.

I was in desperate need of my mates TLC. *wink wink*

SKY's p.o.v

We sat there in silence. I could see the pride in his eyes and it warmed my heart to see that he was so proud of me. I slowly walked over to him and sat on his lap burying my head in his chest.

'We're gonna get him.' He said and for the first time in days he sounded confident.

'I love you.' I said. Luke shifted us so he was looking down at me there was so much love in his gaze it made me feel valued. The feelings he gives me are unexplainable.He licked his lips before he leaned down and gently pressed his lips against mine. We stayed like this cuddling and kissing until we were interrupted.

'So we have a problem!' A girl said rushing into the office. She held a striking resemblance to Bry.

'Yea she's my sister. She has no manners.' He said as if reading my thoughts.

'Sorry.' She mumbled looking down at her toes.

'What's the problem?' Luke asked waiting for someone to answer. We sat and watched as the girls eyes flicked between Luke's her brothers and Ashton's.

' Come on Em spit it out.' Ashton ordered.

'I was helping bry search the room and we found a note .' She said handing the note to Luke.

'We have to separate the alpha from his mate . The fight is near and I want her by my side . Everyone else dies.'

Luke growled at the words scrawled on the paper and I felt a shiver going down my spine. It all hit home.

'What's you're name?'I asked the girl that stood in between Ashton and Bry.

'I'm Emilia.' She said quietly bowing her head with respect.

I could see in her eyes that she had something else to say something she didn't like and it didn't settle well with me.

'Emilia. Was there something else.' I asked softly.

'I... I fo...' She started but before she could the office door flung open again revealing Toby. Toby stood talk like he was a predator stalking his prey. His shoulders where squared and his eyes where pitch black. His wolf was in full control.

'What is the reason you interrupted my meeting?' Luke growled angrily at him. Toby continued to enter the room not listening to his alpha.

He walked straight up to Emilia and said one word that shocked us all.

'Mate.'
