Sky's p.o.v

'It feels so good being home.' Mason sais as we got out the car and stretched.

'It does.' Luke agreed as he took our sleping daughter from my arms. He looked at her with so much love and adoration in his eyes.

'Your back!' Scarlett screamed as she ranout the pack house and embraced me. She pulled me in for a hug. She hugged me for awhile before she let go and looked at Luke and Mason. Her once happy expression turned to one of confusion as she looked between the three of us.

'Leilah.' she said as she looked at me as if expecting something to happen.

'What?' I asked her a little confused.

'You arent Sky you are Leilah.' she sated as if telling me something i already should have know.

'No I'm Sky. actually i havent talked to my wolf since the baby was born I just figured that she was resting after everything.' I said , it was weird that ive went this long with no contact with my wolf but I thought it was something normal that happens after giving birth to a pu.

'No.' she started to protest before Mason cut her off.

'We have had a long ride lets get inside and settle in before wek all talk ok?' he asked he seemed anxious. Scarlett looked like she wass going to argue but quickly thought better of it.

'Your right. Sky come find me after your settled.' she said to me before she disappeared back into the pack house.

I looked back at Mason and Luke and i could see that they were mindlinking from the glazed over look in their eyes, so i decided to go ahead without them. besides i needed a shower anyway.

I slowly entered the pack house it felt strange being back. I walked around taking the long way to the room me and Luke had shared. I went in the room and felt this strange sensation. I felt at ease like i had finally came home. I inhaled the smells of the room it was Lukes scent thats what was comforting. I made my way over to my closet and walked through it a few times before grabbing some clothes and heading for the shower.

I stood under the hot water felling my muscles relax and my body calm at the feeling. I stood under the shower thinking about Scarletts weird reaction to me. She seemed so happy to see me at first be ten it was like she was offended and it was curious that Mason wouldnt let her speak what was on her mind. I was so caught up i my own thoughts that I failed to realize just how weird everyone around me was acting.

I finished with my shower and got dressed. I was leaving the bathroom when i caught the glimpse of paper laying on the bed. I walked over and pickeed it up.

'Sky, I have Amara she woke up from her nap and was hungry so i took her with me to the store to get her food.

Love your mate Luke.' the note said.

Well if he has the baby I see no harm in me taking a little cat nap. i climbed in the bed and snuggled up under the covers and drifted off to sleep.

Scarlett p.o.v

I stormed back inside of the pack house irritated with Mason and his behavior. Something wass clearly off about Sky but what bothered me is that Mason and Luke seemed to know and Sky seemed clueles.

When i hugged her I didnt feel her presence I only felt her wolf and that did seem normal. i was deep in thought as i wandered around the pack house with no clear destination.

Sky called me and said that she needed to talk to me and she sounded strange , could that have something to do with the reason why I could only feel her wolf.

'Scarlett.' my name was yelled outbringing me out of my thoughts and causing me to stop. I turned around to see Mason stalink towards me with a scowl on his face but for some reason he didnt seem scary at all.

'Follow me.' he said heading toward the soundproof conference room. We entered and he motioned for me to take a seat. We sat in silence for a few minutes before Luke entered carrying Amara. Mason was seated across from me and Luke sat in the seat next to him. We watched as Luke carfully put the baby in her basinet.

They looked at me intently but i could see behind the cold glances they were giving me that they were both struggling to tell me something. I decided to break the scilence and address what I thought was the problem.

'Skylars wolf took complete control didnt she?' I ask reciving looks from them that I didnt like in the slightest.

' In rare cases when a she-wolf gives birth alone the human half dies but the wolf side somehow survives. Its very rare beacuse normally when a she-wolf gives brith without her mate she dies. Mason and I did some digging after we were presented with this and found that amongst our kind there have only been four women who gave birth and died but the wolf half stayed behind to care for the child. It takes a strong wolf for something like that to happen. in this case Leilah was that strong wolf. when Sky was giving birth Leilah took so much of her pain that she didnt realise that by taking all of she was killing Sky.' Luke said. i stared at him in utter shock my mind shut down it was as if i couldnt think couldnt comprhend the words that were just said to me.

Theres no way Skylar was dead and her wolf was walking around pretending to be her, things like that dont just happen.

'Thats not possible.' I mutter more to myself than to them.

'Its true.'Mason says causing me to look at him. He looked broken , the same way he did when he had found out that he and Skylar had lost their parents.

'What we havent been able to figure out is why Leilah thinks shes Skylar.' Mason said.

'This doesn't make sense.' I said. We sat there for awhile neither one of us knowing what to say or how to comfort the other.

'I refuse to accept this there has to be something we can do.' I say , we cant give up on Sky and just accept that she's gone.

'We were told by a seer. They usually aren't wrong about things like this.' Luke says.

'Keyword is usually Luke. You said that something like this was rare well maybe there are something that are even more rare. Maybe Sky is still in there. Maybe shes just asleep or stuck but I refuse to accept that she's gone. I will not give up on her.' I said slamming my fists into the table.

'Your right we should look for something.' Mason said for the first time showing hope.

'Alright.' Luke said hesitantly. 'Where do we star?'

Sky's p.o.v

I woke up confused and surrounded in mist. It felt weird here.

'Luke!' I yelled out into the mist.

'Luke!' I yelled again with no response. Where am I ,I thought as I looked around trying to find anything in the mist.

What is this place I thought as I very slowly made my way forward. I felt grass beneath my feet and even though I was surrounded by a cloud of mist it was warm. I could hear the sound of running water in the distance and made my way toward where I thought the sound was coming from. It seemed like I walked for hours before the mist started to disappear. I made it into a clearing. I took in my surroundings , happy that I could finally see clearly.

The was a beautiful field full of colorful flowers and in the middle of the field was a waterfall. it was a breath taking view. It was peacful, the air was easier to breath here. I waled through the field of flowers getting closer to the water. This place felt familiar but I couldn't remeber if I have ever been here before.

I got to the edge of the water and looked down, it ws so clear that i could see my own reflection. I took off my shoes and sat on the bank letting my feet fall into the water. It was cold but refreshing. I swished my feet around in the water and let out a deep breath. I felt calm, like I had no care in the world. I laid back with my feet still in the water and closed my eyes. 

I laid there for what seemed like an eterinty. the sun never went down and the water never warmed so I couldnt have been gone very long. I stood and grabbed my shoes and socks.

'I should get back to the pack house.' I thought to myself as I turned to leave. I stood frozen in place. The stood a wolf two feet away from me. The wolf was huge twice the size of any alpha I have ever seen. I've never seen a wolf like this, its fur looked like moonlight. The wolf stood there staring at me with its head cocked to the side like it was confused by my reaction. 

The wolf took a step towards me causing me to take a step back and fall into the water behind me. I was instanly submerged in the water  falling to the bottom. I swam back to the surface just to see that there was a beautiful woman standing were the wolf once stood. Her hair was silver but in the sunlight it looked like moonlight. But what held my attention was that her eyes were silver, like they reflected the moon. Like Amara's.

'I apologize. I've never had someone get scared by my wolf form.' she smiled sweetly and reached out her hand to help me out of the water. I grabbed her hand and was intantly flooded by warmth. She pulled me out and we stood face to face. 

' Hi.' she smiled at me. She didnt seem like a threat or like she would try to hurt me, but i was wary you can't trust everyone.

'Thank you.' I said and walked away from her towards the mist.

'Where are you going?' she asked following me.

'Home.' I said as I continued to walk.

'But you are home.' she said looking at me strangely. She was weird but her words caused me to stop walking and turn to her.

'I know i'm on pack land but I'm going back to the pack house.' I attempted to clarify for her.

'But..' she started to say but I couldn't hear what came after that as i stepped back into the mist.

I continued further into the mist towards where I had hoped the pack house would be. I was irritated. I was enjoying the peace and quiet and that strange woman had to go and ruin it. I walked until the mist started to thin and I could make out faint outlines in the distance. 

I started to walk faster excited to see Luke and Amara. Finally I made it out of the mist but what I saw confused me. Theres no way I was back in this field. I didnt turn I walked straight, I think. I saw that same lady standing by the bank smiling sweetly at me.

'Your back.' she said as she waved her hand at me.

'Come sit with me.' she motioned to the space next to her. 

"No, I'm going home. I must have got turned around some how.' I said before I ran back into the mist. Instead of slowly walking through I ran this time.

I broke through the mist faster than I did the last time. 

'Luke!' I yelled out. But i was back in the field again.

'You can keep running but I promise you will always come back to this place.' I heard the lady say. she still sat at the bank of the lake but this time she didnt look back at me. She sat there just as I did earlier with her feet in the water and her head back wuth her hair blowing in the wind.

I looked back at the mist. I didn't understand what was happening. What was this place? I cautiously walked over to where the strange lady was and sat beside her.

'I'm  Cerridwen.' she said her voice was calming. But I had no reasons to be calm.

'I'm Skylar.' I said.

'I know.' was all she replied. I looked at her strangely , had I previously told her what my name was?

'Are we stuck here?' I asked her. 

She turned and looked at me and shook her head no.

'Then why can't I leave? What is this place?' I asked and she smiled.

'You are home.' she said as she swund her legs through the water.

'No I need to get back to the pack hhouse my mate and my daughter are waiting for me. Luke is going to get worried.' I say as I look at her tears start to fill my eyes.

'You really don't understand where you are, do you?' she asked wided eyed. Her facial expressions went from shocked to confused.

'What do you mean? Where am I?' I asked.

'Your dead.' she looked at me with sympathetic eyes. 

'No thats not possible. I can't be dead.' I refused. This woman was nuts.I stood up and tried to quickly put distance between her and me.

I'm not dead.

'I'm sorry.' she said. She looked at me with pity.

'I'll never see my daughter grow up.' I started to cry. 

'Most people know that they've died when they get here.' she said 'I usually great them in my wolf  form and they follow me to wear they spend their time until their reincarnated.'

'So what does that mean?' I asked not fully understanding what she meant.

'Your wolf is not with you. She didn't die with you.' she said looking at me curiously.

'How is that possible? Shouldn't we both be dead? I asked.

'Do yo want to be dead?' she asked ignoring my questions.

'Of course not , who wants to be dead?' I asked.

'You're stuck in between life and death. You can  choose if you wish to die or live.'  she said looking deep into my eyes.

'I want to live , I want to live!' I yelled as I gripped her shoulders and shook her.

'Lets see if you still want to live after talking to your parents.' she said catching me off guard. I took a step back and looked at her emotions swirling inside me.

'You can't do that.' I mumble as the mist in front of us starts to separate and two familiar figuers walk out of it.

'Mom. Dad.'
