Skylar's p.o.v

I sat in the library with Amara until the sun went down. I read her books and made funny faces. I just talked to her, she was to young to understand anything I said but I felt like she was the only one who could understand.

I attacked my mate. I saw the pain and sorrow when I snapped. I regretted it but in that moment my wolf took over and I let her , she was there to protect me she wouldn't have attacked Luke for no reason.

The hours went by and no one came to disturb us. They thought there was something wrong with me I could see it when they looked at me. They weren't wrong something was off with me but I was gonna be okay. I just needed time.

There was a quiet knock at the door that brought me out of my thoughts. It was an unfamiliar scent. I watched as the door slowly opened and a strange woman entered. She walked towards me slowly as if she was waiting for me to stop her.

'Hello.' She said her voice was smooth and calming almost like honey. She was unusual but she didn't make me uncomfortable. She smelled sweet and earthy like campfire and marshmallows.

'I'm Kamaria.' She spoke again smiling at me waiting for a response.

'I'm Sky.' I said.

'This must be Amara.' She cooed taking Amara from me.

I didn't stop her. I sensed something from her and even though I couldn't pin point it I knew she meant no harm.

'There's something wrong with you.' She spoke, her words made me feel uneasy. I knew something felt wrong about me but I didn't know that others could feel it too.

'What are you?' I asked staring in her eyes.

'I'm a wolf.' She chuckled lightly.

'You're not just a wolf.' I say taking Amara from her.

'I'm an elder.' She says.

'You're more than that.' I say.

'Not many people can sense it.' She said smiling at me. 'You're stronger than I thought.'

'I am a healer of sorts. I have a calming effect on many. I can look at you and see your aura or as most would say your soul.' She spoke in a low voice not looking at me.

'What do you see?' I ask causing her to look up wide eyed.

'You know what I see. You feel it.' She spoke staring into my soul her eyes unblinking as she searched.

'Your no longer at peace. Your losing yourself to the wolf inside of you. It is taking control and if it's not balanced you will no longer exist. Just the wolf.' She spoke again.

I looked down at my daughter as she slept in my arms. She was precious to me and I didn't want to hurt her.

'What do I do?' I asked.

'I don't know if there's anything you can do.' She said. She looked at me full of pity before she walked to the door.

I sat there tears slowly falling down my face.

Masons p.o.v

I sat in the spare room Caine said was available thinking of what my sister went through. I hurt for her knowing that her life has been filled with so much pain.

A quiet knock brought me out of my thoughts. I looked up to see the door open and my sister walk in. I watch as she lays the baby on the bed and turns to me. Her face was stained with tears.

'Sky.' I breath as I embrace my sister. We sat there for hours as I listened to her talk
