This is one of my favourite and longest chapters so far so enjoy!! :-)

"I can't believe he's taking you on another date!" Robyn squealed excitedly down the phone. I had called her as soon as I had gotten home from Alessandro's.

"Tomorrow at 6," I repeated, mainly for my own benefit to remind myself that this was actually happening.

"What are you going to wear?" Robyn asked. I rolled my eyes, of course this is the first thing she'd ask.

"I don't even know where we're going," I groaned plopping myself down onto my bed. "On normal dates I'd just wear a skirt or a dress because there'd be a 90% chance that I'd be going to a restaurant or something but with Austin I have no clue where he will take me, I mean he took my to see an elephant last time for crying out loud," I said dramatically.

"I'm still jealous about that by the way, can you not ask him what to wear?"

"I can't ask him what to wear every time he takes me out!"

"True," Robyn said. There was a silence down the phone as she thought. "Well I'm stumped."

I gasped dramatically. "Robyn the queen of fashion is 'stumped' what is this world coming to!"

"Calm down you drama queen! I just need some time to think, I'll have an outfit planned by tomorrow,"

"Why must he be so difficult! I mean why couldn't he have said 'I'm taking you for pizza' or 'I'm taking you bowling'"

"May I remind you that you're going on a date with Austin! Stop whining!"

"You're right," I laughed.

"So are you going to tell Calum?" Robyn asked casually.

"No!" I almost shouted. "I don't want to upset him over nothing, I mean I've only been out with Austin once and we haven't even kissed."

"The longer you leave it the worse he's going to react,"

"I know," I sighed. "In all honesty I'm dreading telling him."

"He'll get over it don't worry. Anyway speaking of kissing, when are you gonna lay one on Austin?"

"Robyn!" I laughed.

"What?! Come on you guys have got to kiss soon, how many times has he tried?"

I thought. There was the time at the concert, outside my house after the zoo, at the basketball game and earlier today in his house... When he was wearing nothing but a towel... With beads of water dripping down his chest...

Focus Violet!

"About 4," I said biting my lip.

"4 times?! Oh my gosh Violet that poor boy!"

"Shut up!" I giggled. "Anyway I've got to go, see you tomorrow,"

"Byeeeee," Robyn said ending the call.

I lied back on my bed and I couldn't help but smile thinking about tomorrow.

***

The next morning I jumped out bed, I'd overslept and had about 20 minutes to leave the house, considering it normally takes me 20 minutes to fully open my eyes this was a huge problem. I quickly pulled my hair into a bun and grabbed the first outfit I saw which happened to be an oversized grey T-shirt and black leggings. I brushed my teeth in the kitchen sink as I made myself some toast, bringing it with me in the car.

"What the hell happened to you?" Robyn gasped when she saw me.

"Overslept," I said taking a bite of a granola bar I had found in my bag.

"That is not an excuse to come in wearing boy clothes!"

I raised my eyebrow. "Oh yeah, I forgot how frequently Calum wears leggings,"

"And what about your hair?!"

"What about it?"

"What if Austin sees you?"

"I don't think I look that bad," I laughed defending myself. Not bothering with a response Robyn pulled me into the girls toilets. Pulling out a make up bag from her purse she handed it to me. She then started to braid my hair. I did as I was silently told and started to apply some make up, secretly thankful that I didn't look dead anymore. When we were both done she smiled.

"There that's better," she glanced at my outfit before shaking her head. "Seriously though Violet what are you wearing?"

"I was in a rush," I laughed, playfully pushing her.

She shook her head once again this time however she broke into a smile. Her smile soon dropped once she realised what lesson we had next. "Why is gym mandatory!" She whined as we walked into the changing room.

"I love your outfit Violet," Kim said stopping us in our tracks, her two minions standing behind her. "I didn't know the homeless look was back in."

"I didn't know the skank look was in but that certainly hasn't stopped you," Robyn growled back.

Kim shot her a glare. "Well Austin certainly doesn't complain," she smirked, throwing a glance at me. I kept a straight face but inside my blood was boiling. "Come on girls, let's leave these two losers," and with that she walked away.

"Can I please just break her nose?" Robyn asked pleadingly.

"Just ignore her,"

We both changed into our gym clothes, which consisted of blue shorts and a white polo shirt, and made our way out to the field. "Hey," a voice behind me said. I turned around to see a smirking Austin. Robyn gave me a knowing smile before jogging ahead.

"Hey," I replied. We walked out to the field together, taking our time. "I didn't know you had gym now," seniors didn't usually have gym the same time as juniors.

"I don't, the basketball team are being made to have extra training," he laughed.

"Why?"

"We're only 2 wins away from breaking the record, I guess the school really wants that to happen, so that means an hour of running laps"

"Well at least I'll have a good view for once," I mumbled before smacking my hand over my mouth praying Austin hadn't heard me. He burst into laughter, guess he had heard. "I can't believe I just said that,"

"It's not like I wasn't thinking the same thing... your ass looks great in those shorts by the way," he said winking at me before jogging off to catch up with his team mates.

"Ahh young love," Robyn smiled returning to my side. I gave her a shove and that's when I met Kim's eyes. She looked like she wanted to kill me. Brushing her off I made my way over to the tennis court as the gym teacher gave out instructions.

"Okay girls, today we're just going to get straight into it, I've already picked your partners," she said pulling out a crumpled piece of paper out of her pocket. "Caitlin and Jessica, Lauren and Megan, Milly and Olivia, Robyn and Holly, Ella and Lola, Lexie and Penelope, Lauren and Zoe and finally Kim and Violet."

I let out a groan, about to argue but Kim beat me to it. "Why can't I be with Caitlin?!" She complained.

"The list is final, now get into your pairs and start to play."

"Good luck," Robyn whispered.

"I'm going to need it."

I joined an unhappy looking Kim on one of the courts. "Look loser I really don't want to be here with you so just play the game and don't talk to me,"

"Works with me,"

For the next 10 minutes me and Kim hit the ball to each other without sharing so much as a word. We were taking a break while Kim drank some water. I turned around to look at the track and sure enough Austin was jogging along, he made eye contact with me and gave me a grin, waving slightly. I laughed and waved back. Suddenly a force hit me so hard in the side of the head I fell to the ground and I swear I could actually see starts. Austin's face fell as he ran towards the tennis court, easily climbing over the 6ft fence that surrounded it. He was soon besides me. I let out a whimper as the pain got stronger. Then a thought occurred to me, was I bleeding? I quickly reached up to feel the side of my head, there was no blood. I let out a sigh of relief.

"What the hell!" I heard Robyn shout.

"What?" Kim said innocently.

"You just purposely hit the ball at the side of her head!"

"I didn't! I just served the ball, it's not my fault she wasn't ready,"

"You served the ball while her back was turned? Wouldn't have nothing to do with who she was waving at would it?!"

I tried to sit up but a wave of dizziness washed over me causing me clutch onto Austin's arm to steady myself. At this point the gym teacher was racing towards us. "Violet!" She cried. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, I'm just a little dizzy." I said trying to stand up, Austin helped me, keeping a firm grip on my arm.

"We should get you to my office so I can check you over," Miss said. "Austin can you help her?"

"Of course," he said throwing one of my arms around his neck and placing an him arm around my waist. We followed miss back into the school building.

"I'm okay," I assured but the skeptical look on his face told me that he didn't believe it.

"Are you sure you're okay?" He asked.

"I'll be fine,"

"Meet me in that janitors closet after this period ends." He whispered before handing me over to Miss and returning to the field.

"Well you seem okay," she said after checking me over and asking me about 20 times to do my ABC's.

"I'm fine," I said for the hundredth time. This was getting repetitive.

"Well you might as well go and get changed," she said ushering me out of her office and making her way back to the tennis courts.

I sighed as I walked into the changing room and got dressed. Robyn soon stormed in. "I can't believe that little bitch!"

"Aren't you still supposed to be playing tennis?"
I asked glancing at the time on my phone, she still had 10 minutes left.

"I said I had cramps, but that's irrelevant. I am actually going to shove my tennis racket down Kim's throat!"

"What happened?" I asked, the details were still fuzzy.

"She saw Austin waving at you and shot one of her awful glares that makes her face look like the back of a dogs ass and the served the ball at your head!"

"Austin asked me to meet him in the janitors closet,"

"Really!! Well at least one good thing came out of this. You should have seen his face when she hit you, oh and the way he climbed over that fence to get to you, my heart did a flip for you!"

"Sorry about that Violet, what a freak accident," Kim pouted returning to the changing rooms. In all the years of Kim being a bitch I have never hit her but I'm beginning to think that a punch would do her the world of good.

"You need to back off before I do your face a favour and break your god damn nose!" Robyn said through gritted teeth.

"I'd like to see you try," Kim laughed, taking a step back never the less. She gave us one final look before turning on her heels to go and change.

"I swear to god one of these days I'm actually going to just pounce on her and rip out her extensions." Robyn said.

I laughed. "Well I've got to go to a certain janitors closet to go to," I winked.

And with that I left, I knew that Austin wouldn't be there yet but I couldn't spend another minute with Kim. When I got to the closet I clicked on the light and sat on the floor, closing the door behind me. As I waited for Austin I scrolled through my phone. The closet door slowly opened, I stood up, brushing myself down.

"Are you okay?" Austin asked rather urgently.

"I'm fine," I repeated once again, rolling my eyes. He reached out to the side of my head, examining the bump that was starting to appear.

"Are you sure you're not getting a concussion or something?"

"Austin," I said grabbing his hand away from my head and keeping hold of it. I looked him in the eyes. "I'm fine,"

He let out a breath of air. "That's good, I just sort of felt to blame," he said nervously looking down at his feet.

"And how did you get to that conclusion?"

"Well obviously Kim did it on purpose and that was because she saw me wave at you," he said in one breath. I raised my eyebrows, Austin was always so calm and collected. He had a cocky charm to him and I had never seen him act like this.

"Austin," I repeated. "Stop! She's just a phyco bitch, this isn't your fault!"

He looked into my eyes and gave a quiet chuckle, retuning to his normal self. "I'm glad you're okay, are you still okay for tonight I mean if you want to cancel if you're feeling a bit sick I don't mind."

"I'm still good, but speaking of tonight..." I trailed off.

"Violet?"

"What are we doing?"

"Why do you ask?" He said with a smirk behind his voice.

"Well... I don't know what to wear,"

He broke out into a huge smile. "Wear whatever you like, what ever you would normally wear on a date,"

"That doesn't help," I sighed.

He chuckled placing a hand on the side of my face again. "Well maybe this will," he whispered moving his head forward. The door handle on the door began to move.

"Shit!" Austin muttered quickly switching off the light and pulling me further into the closet. We crouched down behind a box in the corner.

The door swung open and I held my breath. I had to resist the urge to laugh. The janitor grabbed a mop before leaving, closing the door behind him. I erupted into fit of giggles.

"I swear if something interrupts me kissing you one more time I'm going to explode," Austin laughed pulling me up and leading me out of the closet.

The bell still hadn't gone so the hall way was empty. "I'll see you tonight," Austin told me as he turned and made his way to his next period.

I quickly did the same and made my way to math, unable to hide the grin on my face.

***

"I think I've got it," Robyn said sitting down besides me.

"Got what?" I asked taking a bite of my apple.

"What you're gonna wear tonight,"

"Do tell,"

"Well since he's not giving any clues as to where he's taking you you're just gonna have to dress to impress."

"And what if he's planning on taking me to a football game or something?"

"You'll be the best dressed at the game,"

"So what have you picked?" I laughed shaking my head.

"Every boys weakness, a little black dress," she said with a mischievous smirk.

"The LBD already? Do you not think it's a bit soon?"

"It's Austin Hendrix we're talking about, it's never too soon for the LBD,"

"I just hope he has dinner planned or something,"

"It's a first date there's like a 90% chance it'll be dinner or a movie,"

"Who's got a first date?" Calum asked falling into the seat besides me.

I began to panic. "Robyn has," I blurted out. Robyn shot me a glare.

"With who?" Calum asked raising an eyebrow.

"You don't know him," I answered quickly.

"Who is he?"

"It's a blind date, Robyn's cousin set her up with one of her friend's friend."

"Where are you going on this blind date?" Calum asked.

"She's meeting him at the movies,"

"And you have no clue what he looks like?"

"All she knows is where to meet him and at what time," I physically couldn't stop talking, Robyn began to kick my leg under the table.

"I'll take you," Calum announced.

"What?!" Me and Robyn both said in unison.

"Well I'm not letting you go and meet some random guy by yourself,"

"It's okay she can handle herself,"

"Absolutely not, I'm not letting her go alone what if he turns out to be some 29 year old creep, now Robyn what time should I pick you up?"

"7:30," Robyn squeaked. Calum gave a sharp nod before standing up and going to get some food.

"What the hell was that Violet?!" Robyn exploded once Calum was out of earshot.

"I panicked,"

"No kidding, now what the hell am I going to do?"

"Just tell Calum you're meeting the guy inside and then leave once Calum drives away,"

"You are seriously insane!"

"Please Robyn!" I begged sticking out my bottom lip. "Please please please please,"

"Fine! But you owe me, big time!"

My attention was suddenly drawn to Austin's table. I nodded towards it and Robyn quickly turned to look too. Kim was sitting on her usual table, next to Austin's (the people who sat on Austin's table where all seniors, the table next to that where the 'popular' juniors, then the table after that was the 'popular' sophomores and so on) occasionally Kim would sit on Austin's table and basically cling to him like he was her life support.

There was a spare seat next to Austin and Kim stood up, making her way over. Before she got the chance to sit down Austin shuck his head and placed his hand out on the spare seat. Kim froze and looked at him. "Austin?" She questioned.

He just shuck his head again and returned to his previous conversation. Trying to seem unfazed, Kim put on a fake smile and sat down besides him anyway, seductively running her fingers along his arm and whispering something in his ear. Austin froze and at that point I was holding my breath. And then the weirdest thing happened, he made eye contact with me. Austin looked at me before removing Kim's hands off of him and standing up. A few people on his table had become aware of the situation and where now watching as intensely as I was. Austin shot Kim a glare before leaving the cafeteria.

"Go follow him!" Robyn said trying to push me off of my seat.

"What? No! He won't want me to follow him,"

"Did you not see the look he just give you? He so wants you to follow him,"

"Robyn stop,"

"Violet if you don't get your ass up I'm going to drag you out by your hair,"

Before I could even reply Calum came back to the table, carrying a tray of French fries. I took one and placed it into my mouth.

"I should really just start getting two of everything since you always steal my food," Calum laughed.

"That sounds like a great plan," I smiled taking another one.

***

I was lazily spread across my bed when Robyn walked into my room, her arm was decorated with 3 large bags. She sighed heavily when she saw me. "Have you not even showered yet?! Seriously Violet we only have 2 hours until Austin comes!"

"What's with all the bags?" I questioned sitting up.

"Just the essentials you know, makeup, shoes, clothes, hair straighteners, hair curlers, nail polish-"

"I get it you have a lot of things to make me pretty," I laughed interrupting her.

"Just get a shower, make it quick but make sure to wash and condition your hair and shave your legs,"

Returning from the bathroom 10 minutes later in an oversized t-shirt and shorts I saw that Violet had set out various stations around my room and was playing music loudly from my speaker.

"Makeup first," she said pushing me towards my desk where she had set out all of her makeup. I sat down on my chair and let her get to work.

"Don't you think this is a bit much?" I laughed as she applied even more eyeshadow.

"Nothing is too much for a date with Austin Hendrix now stop moving before I stab you in the eye," I could feel her putting false eyelashes on me. "Okay done, now your hair," she pulled me up from the chair and led me over to the bed where she had a curling iron plugged in. She curled my hair for me and I painted my nails.

"I feel like I'm going to puke," I said as I glanced at the clock. It was 5:45.

"I swear if you throw up and ruin my dress I'm going to kill you," Robyn mumbled as she made her way over to one of the bags she had brought and pulled out a dress. "Put it on," she said throwing it at me. I slipped on the dress and Robyn zipped up the back for me. It clung to me tightly and fell to my mid thigh, the back was made of a lace material. "And these," she handed me a pair of black heels.

I walked over to the mirror to look at myself and couldn't help but smiling, Robyn
