Authors note: This chapter isn't one of my favourites. I don't love the way it's written so sorry for that. Still, I hope you enjoy it also I know how controversial outfits can be on wattpad but I personally love this dress although I'm sure some of you will hate it 😂😂 if you really hate it just imagine your own but let me know in the comments what dress you would pick.

"Okay seriously what is up with you?" Austin asked for the millionth time.

"Nothing, really," I said unconvincingly. The truth was I was in pain. Not physical pain but pain all the same. I hadn't spoke to Calum since Robyn's house on Saturday, it was now Thursday.

I had skipped school on Monday and Calum hadn't showed up on Tuesday or Wednesday. Now I was sat outside with Austin, doing my best to avoid seeing Calum.

The whole thing was a mess; I was currently pretending to have a headache so I could sit outside away from everyone else but Austin insisted on not leaving me alone. He knew something was wrong, a blind man could see I was ready to burst into tears at any given moment.

There was no way I could tell anyone what Calum had said. Austin would be beyond furious and I can't imagine Robyn being too pleased either. The only solution I could come up with at the minute was to try and avoid everyone. Obviously this was an awful plan but it was the best I had for now.

This plan was destined for failure since it was Robyn's sister's wedding on Saturday and even with my ninja skills I doubted I could avoid my friends the whole night.

That reminded me.

"Hey what are you doing this Saturday?" I asked Austin.

"Nothing, why?"

"Wanna be my plus one to a wedding?"

"Sure, if you tell me what is going on,"

I sighed, he was impossible. "Look it really is nothing, I had an argument with Calum so I'm just trying to avoid him until things calm down,"

Austin raised his eyebrow as if he hadn't expected me to actually tell him what was wrong.

"Okay... What was the argument about?"

I bit my lip, avoiding eye contact. "Nothing really," I lied.

The look on Austin's face told me that he didn't believe me in the slightest but he didn't press.

"So anyway will you come... Please," I all but begged. It would be a little bit more bearable if I had Austin with me.

Austin held back a smirk, his eyes full of mischief. "Hmmmmm let me think,"

"Austin," I wined, pouting slightly.

He rolled his eyes at me. "I would love to be your date,"

"Hey are we interrupting something?" A voice asked, approaching us.

"Don't look now but its your entourage," I teased.

"Seriously guys do you have a tracker on me or something?" Austin asked.

"You wish," Charlie said sitting besides us, Liam following closely behind.

"So how did your tests go? Did you pass?" I asked referring to the new rule that all basketball players had to be passing their classes in order to compete. Also this was a good way to steer the conversation away from mine and Calum's argument.

"I think it's safe to say I'm the smartest person in the school," Charlie boasted.

Liam scoffed at this. "You just about scraped a C in Physics, calm down Einstein,"

"Who's that?"

"Oh god," Austin chuckled.

***

"Okay what's the deal?" Robyn asked me as I swung open my locker.

"I don't know what you're talking about," I mumbled.

"Spill the beans! You've been avoiding him all day and avoiding me all weekend, I know something has happened!"

Wow is anyone else getting Déjà vu? This was literally the same conversation we had after I met Austin at the concert; all you needed now was for Kim to show her annoying face.

"Look Robyn it really is nothing,"

"If it really was nothing then you would have sat with us at lunch rather than hide outside,"

"I just needed some air," I lied wondering if I could sprint to class without seeming suspicious.

"Violet, we've been best friends since we thought boys had cooties, I know you like the back of my hand and I know when something is really bugging you now spill,"

"Robyn really -"

"Who do you think you're fooling?"

"Robyn seriously I'm fine,"

"Then why have I still not heard about your night in the sheets with Austin,"

I grabbed her arm tightly and pulled her towards me, probably leaving bruises on her arm in the process. It wasn't my fault Robyn bruised like a peach. "Do you want to be any louder?" I practically hissed.

"Then tell me what the hell is going on?"

"Calum found out about Austin and he sort of didn't take it well,"

"Didn't take it well how?"

"He just didn't take it well and now things are a little awkward at the minute but don't worry it'll cool down soon,"

"It better! I don't want to be torn between my two best friends,"

"I know, I'll speak to him soon I promise."

I had to speak to Calum eventually, I know what he said was mean and hurtful but he was still my best friend. The thing was I honestly had no clue what to say.

***

I never did get the chance to talk to Calum; he didn't come into school on Friday. He had called me while I was in the shower on Friday night and honestly I didn't have the nerve to call him back. What would I even say?

I was currently sitting at my mirror staring at my reflection. I had 2 hours until I had to leave for Robyn's sister's wedding yet I couldn't help feeling the urge to climb back into bed and never return to the real world. There was no doubt I was going to have to talk to Calum today.

With a dramatic sigh I got to work on my makeup before curling my hair. Okay Violet we can do this, Calum and I had been friends since he joined this school and if he wanted to throw all that away then it was on him.

With only 30 minutes to go until Austin came to pick me up, I grabbed the dress from my closet. Once I had slipped it on I gave a little twirl in front of the mirror. It really was a beautiful dress. The dress only made me think of Calum even more. God this was a mess! I was a mess!

Did I forgive him? I mean he hadn't even apologized properly. Then again had I given him the chance? Wait, he was the one avoiding me! The more I thought about it, the more I found myself being angry again. He was the one who took 3 days off school, he was the one who had only called me once almost a week later and he was the one who hadn't come to see me. He was the one who said the hurtful things and instead of trying to make it up to me he was avoiding me like the plague.

Screw him!

A knock at the door brought me out of my thoughts. I gave myself a quick once over in the mirror, running a hand through my hair quickly before making my way out of my room and down the stairs.

I swung open the door and I swear to god my mouth started watering. Austin was standing in the doorway in a suit.

Now like most girls I tend to have some weaknesses:
Puppies
Cute babies
Chocolate
Baby goats
And hot men in suits

Now Austin was most definitely classed as a hot man in a suit. I think I need a cold shower or something.

Austin's eyes slowly made their way up my body, pausing when they got to my face. His mouth opened slightly as he tried to speak.

"You- I- Oh- Urm-" He began. "Honestly I'm struggling to find words,"

I blushed, glancing down at my feet so I wouldn't have to look at him which would only result in more blushing.

"You look great I told him,"

"You look more than great Violet, you look... wow"

"Wow?" I giggled.

"Yes, you look very wow..."

"Well thank you, come on we're going to be late," I said pulling him in the direction of his car.

As we drove, Austin would glance at me every few seconds and smirk to himself. How did I know this? Well since we left my house it had been impossible for me to take my eyes off of Austin. I caught his every move. I had tried to look at something else but my eyes eventually found their way back to him.

We pulled up outside the church and we were most definitely late. I hurried out of the car and waited for Austin to lock up. He grabbed my hand and started pulling me behind him. While we walked I caught a glimpse of his butt and let me tell you, the only think I could think about doing was jumping his bones.

God Violet get a hold of yourself, you're about to enter a church!

We had luckily arrived before the bride, knowing my luck I was half expecting to burst through the doors just as they did the whole "Speak now or forever hold you peace" bit. We took a seat at the back since most if not all of the guests had already arrived.

It wasn't long before the bride arrived. Although Robyn walked first, a small smile on her face but she mainly stared at the ground. I frowned, I could just tell something was wrong with her, besides the yellow dress she hated. Before I really had a chance to think about it Robyn's sister walked past us, a huge smile decorating her face as she made her way down the isle and to her soon to be husband.

I couldn't help the small smile that crept onto my face. Tori was just so in love. I remember when she first introduced her boyfriend to Robyn and I. We were about 8 and she was around 17, she had brought Steven to meet her family and us being the annoying little girls we were forced him to have a tea party with us. Growing up I always remember seeing a funny look in his eyes whenever he looked at Tori but now I realize it was a look of pure adoration and love.

"Maybe that will be us someday," Austin whispered in my ear. I turned my head to face him and I was taken back to see that he had the same look in his eyes that I saw Steven have all those years ago. I blinked and the look was gone as quick as it had come, maybe I just imagined it.

"You could only wish," I teased back earning a smirk from Austin as he intertwined our fingers.

Throughout the whole ceremony Austin kept hold of my hand, tracing circles on it. It was rather distracting as it just made me want to kiss the life out of him. After the 'you may now kiss the bride' bit everyone cheered and the bride and groom made their way out of the church. The front row followed and so on. My eyes widened slightly when I saw Calum in a black suit follow Robyn's cousins who I assume he was sitting by, he turned to the boy besides them and muttered something in his ear making the two laugh, Calum showing his perfectly white straight teeth. He didn't see me as he walked past. The only thing I could think of as he walked past was did Calum always look this attractive?

***

"I'm going to grab a drink, what do you want?" Austin asked nodding to the bar.

"Can you get me a coke please?" I smiled pulling out my phone so I could text Robyn and ask where the hell she was. We had been at the venue for over an hour and I had still not spoken to her, in fact I don't think she had spoken to anyone, throughout all of the speeches she kept her gaze on her lap. There was definitely something wrong and now she was nowhere to be seen.

"Well well well, look who it is," a voice said from behind me making me roll my eyes so hard they nearly fell out of my head. Unfortunately I would know that voice anywhere. It belonged to an annoying dick who I would see at every one of Robyn's family events. I turned to see Ryan looking down at me, a huge smirk plastered on his face.

Ryan was one of Robyn's cousins and when we were 8 he made it his life mission to hug me. When we were 12 he made it his life mission to kiss me. And when we were 16 he made it his life mission to get me into bed, a mission he was still trying to complete.

"Ryan," I remarked dryly. Quite frankly Ryan pissed me off. He was crude, annoying and cocky.

"Your boobs got bigger," he smirked, his eyes glued to my chest.

SEE WHAT I MEAN!!! Who says shit like this?!

"Is there not a lake you can go drown yourself in or something?" I asked looking back down at my phone in hopes he would get the message and go annoy someone else.

"No baby but if you want me to make you wet just give me the word,"

"Okay well that didn't even make sense in the slightest,"

"You know what would make sense? Me and you in a hotel room,"

"Please leave," I stated trying to sound as unaffected as possible when in actual fact I was seconds away from shoving my heel into his eye socket.

"Only if you come with me," he winked.

"Are you okay?" Someone asked behind me, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.

"I am now," I smiled taking my coke from his hand and standing even closer to Austin as if that would protect me from Ryan's creepy stare.

"I don't think we've met, I'm Austin," Austin said shaking Ryan's hand but I didn't miss the way he squeezed his hand a little TOO hard.

"Ryan," he said wincing a little because of the handshake.

And then a silence settled around us, almost suffocating me. "Well Ryan it was great seeing you," I mumbled through clenched teeth.

Unlike the previous times, Ryan actually listened this time although that may have something to do with the tall muscly boy standing next to me staring holes into Ryan's head.

"Who even is that?" Austin asked once Ryan had left.

I let out a groan. "Robyn's weird creepy cousin who has been obsessed with me since we were kids,"

"God Violet how many boys do you have pining over you that I have to beat up,"

I shoved his shoulder lightly. "I DO NOT have boys pining over me," I laughed.

Austin rolled his eyes, pulling me impossibly closer and kissed the side of my head.

"You have no idea," he mumbled against my skin.

An Ed Sheeran song started to play on the speaker and I started to laugh.

"What?" Austin asked.

"The song that is playing,"

"What about it?"

"Remember when you got drunk at your party?" I asked. Austin nodded, still not understanding what was funny. "Well I told you about how you tried to serenade me. It was to this song," I giggled as I slowly began so sway.

"I guess that makes it our song then," Austin said taking my drink and placing it down on the table so we could dance.

"Why are you so cheesy today?"

Austin shrugged pulling me towards the dance floor. "It must be the wedding,"

I wrapped my arms around Austin's neck as he rested his hands just above my butt and together we swayed to the music.

"So are you still not talking to Calum," Austin asked.

I groaned and laid my head on Austin's chest. "I just don't know what to do,"

Austin lightly took my face in his hands and pulled it away from his chest so he could look at me. "Just talk to him, Violet he's your best friend. You mean the world to him, it's probably killing him that you're arguing,"

I didn't know what to say so I just nodded and continued to dance with Austin.

"What are you doing tonight?" Austin asked.

I shrugged. "Nothing why?"

A smirk made its way onto Austin's lips. "My mom and dad aren't home and Calum is staying at one of his band friend's house meaning the house is empty,"

I turned a shade of beetroot and buried my head into Austin's chest once again. "I don't know what you're talking about,"

"How about another sleepover?" He mumbled into my neck making me giggle. I would be lying if I said I wasn't tempted to drag Austin home right now, especially after seeing him in that suit.

"Maybe,"

"Violet is that you?"

I turned to see Robyn's mom making her way over to me, closely followed by Tori. I smiled, pulling away from Austin so I could face them.

"Hi," I waved

"Violet hey! I'm so glad you could make it!" Tori beamed.

"Thank you for inviting me, you look so beautiful,"

"And who is this handsome young man?" Robyn's mom asked nodding towards Austin.

"Hi I'm Austin, Violet's boyfriend," Austin said pulling me to his side with one hand while offering his other for Tori and her mom to shake.

"Well don't you two make a beautiful couple," Tori smiled. "Robyn has told us a lot about you Austin,"

"She has?" Austin asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Of course! Violet is like family, when we found out she had a boyfriend we had to know everything about you! Are you treating our Violet right?" Robyn's mom asked.

Austin let out a low chuckle. "Yes mam," he said drawing slow circles on my hip with his thumb. Despite the layer of fabric between our skin, I still got tingles throughout my entire body.

"She mentioned you were captain of the basketball team. My fiancé-" Tori stopped herself, a huge smile decorating her face as she realised her mistake. "I mean my HUSBAND used to play basketball in collage, I'm sure you two would have a lot in common,"

"Violet sweetie have you seen Robyn anywhere? I've been looking for her for a while,"

I frowned. Even Robyn's mom didn't know where she was. I turned to Austin. "I'm going to look for Robyn,"

"I'll introduce Austin to Steven so he will have someone to talk to," Tori offered. I nodded and kissed Austin on the cheek before turning around quickly and dialing Robyn's number.

"Hello?" She answered, her voice wobbly.

"Robyn where are you?!"

She took a deep breath. "If you walk out of the main room and walk down the long hall, the last room is a girls toilet. I'm there,"

I didn't even say goodbye to her, I just took off to where she had told me she was. It was a struggle walking this fast in heels but I needed to see her. Something was definitely wrong.

"Robyn?" I called as I slipped through the door. My eyes scanned the room until they found Robyn perched on a chair in the corner. I was careful with my steps, trying not to startle her. "What's wrong?"

Before she could even answer the door opened again to reveal a flustered looking Calum. I looked at him startled, my mouth going dry. He looked just as shocked and uncomfortable as I did, not knowing whether or not to enter the room with me in it.

"Look," Robyn sniffled, glancing between the two of us. "I know you two are on rocky ground at the minute but I'm having a problem and I really need my two best friends right now so can you just put everything aside for 5 minutes please,"

There was a silence for several seconds before Calum stepped fully into the room and came to stand besides me. I let out a breath I didn't even know I had been holding.

"What's wrong? You text me saying it was urgent and I needed to come and see you," Calum asked.

Robyn was looking everywhere except us. Her gaze lingered on the door as if she was contemplating making a run for it. Finally, she glanced up to me and Calum, here eyes filling with tears before uttering the words I had least expected her to say.

"I'm Pregnant,"

***

Silence.

That was what filled the room for at least 5 minutes after Robyn dropped the bombshell. I genuinely didn't know what to say. By the looks of it neither did Calum because he had the exact same reaction as I did.

After she had told us the news I had somehow ended up on the floor. I don't know when Calum joined me but he did and we were now both sitting with our backs pressed against the cold tiles.

"W-What?" Calum eventually whispered, breaking the silence.

Robyn threw her face into her hands, muffling a sob. "My period is late, really late and it's never late. I just... I just don't know what to do! I can't raise a baby! I can't be a mom! I can't handle that
