"So I've told my mom you'll come for dinner on Thursday okay? And before you ask, Calum has a 2 hour band practice that night and then they're going for food or something after so that gives us like 3 and a half hours," Austin said throwing his arm around my shoulder as I placed my books into my locker.

I groaned. "What if she doesn't like me?" I asked chewing on my bottom lip.

"Violet shut up, my mother has known you for like 2 years, she already loves you. Like I'm not kidding all she ever does is talk about how happy she is that I've 'found a nice girl'," He laughed using his fingers to make quotation marks.

"Okay so it's not going to be THAT bad but I'm still nervous,"

"Don't be, she loves you, trust me." He promised, kissing the top of my head lightly.

Laughing, I playfully shoved him off me. Rolling his eyes at me Austin simply threw his arm around my shoulder again. We began walking to Spanish, the only lesson we shared. I slumped into the seat I usually sat in durning this lesson. To my surprise, the chair next me was pulled out as a body fell into the seat. I turned around to see Austin leaning back in the chair.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

He raised an eyebrow as if I was completely insane. "Sitting in a Spanish lesson,"

"Okay sherlock, I got that part. What I don't get is why you are sitting here. You normally sit in front of me with your friend,"

Austin rolled his eyes at me. "Yeah and now I'm sitting in the seat next to you,"

"Don't you want to sit next to your friend though?"

"Nope, I want to sit next to my girlfriend and see how good she actually is at Spanish. Personally I don't think you will be THAT good," he smirked, teasing me.

"Sure," was all I said rolling my eyes.

"This is hard!" Austin groaned waving about the worksheet we had been given.

"What one are you stuck on?" I asked.

"Number 2, I've been stuck on it for the last 5 minutes,"

I grabbed his sheet and filled in the answer wordlessly before continuing to quickly fill in the answers on my sheet.

"And number 3," Austin said. I repeated the same action of scribbling the answer down. I got back to my work and Austin paused for a second. "And number 4..."

I laughed at him. "I'm not doing all your work, I've only got 3 left give me a second and I'll help you, emphasis on the word help," I told him.

"Only 3 left?! Violet theres like 50 questions on this thing!"

"There's 43 and I told you I'm practically fluent Spanish," I said not even looking up from my paper.

"Okay well I take back what I said about you not being that good at Spanish, you could probably teach it,"

"Andddddd done," I said placing my pen down and turning to face Austin. "Now what did you need help on?"

Austin huffed. "All of it! The only one I've actually managed to do is number 1,"

I glanced at his paper and bit the inside of my mouth. "And you've sorta got number 1 wrong," I said trying to contain my laugher.

Austin shot me a glare which only made me laugh more. "Stop laughing!" he exclaimed but I could tell he was trying to stop the smirk creeping onto his face.

"But it's funny," I giggled.

"Just help me will you," he grumbled. I took a second to compose myself before explaining each question to Austin. For the really hard ones I just give him the answer. Just as he finished the last question the bell rang, the rest of the class quickly packed up leaving me and Austin. Placing both worksheets onto the teachers desk I made my way to the door behind Austin.

"Austin," Miss Saunders called out, stopping Austin in his tracks. I payed no attention to the world around me which resulted in me slamming into the back of Austin. I groaned and began to rub my nose. He quickly spun around and apologised to me before looking expectantly at miss.

"All your answers are filled out," She said sceptically, racking her eyes over his work.

"Yeah well I had a little help from Violet, she's a good teacher," he laughed looking over me before he realised what he had just said. "Not that you aren't a good teacher, you're a great teacher! The best!" He exclaimed throwing back his hands and hitting me in the face.

"Hey!" I grumbled earring another apology from Austin.

"It's just that I don't think you've ever handed in work that is fully completed to me," she said, happiness glistening in her eyes.

Austin scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "Yeah well... sorry about that,"

Miss Saunders looked between the two of us as an idea formed in her head. She smiled to herself. "Violet how far ahead are you in your Spanish class?" She asked.

I shrugged. "I'm not sure, I'm not falling behind or anything if that's what you're thinking," I said quickly trying to reassure any doubts in her head that might stop me from attending her classes. Even though this was only once a week it was still far more interesting, especially since I was now sitting besides Austin.

"Okay well I'm just going to speak to Mr Lewis now, well done on completing your work Austin," she smiled darting past us and into the room next door.

"Well that was weird," Austin laughed throwing his arm around my shoulder.

***

"Okay so I'll pick you up from your house at like 5. I think my mom said something about cooking spaghetti, you're okay with that right?" Austin asked rather frantically when I got into his car.

I laughed as I began to buckle my seatbelt. "Wow you sound more nervous than me,"

"It's just that I've never done this before and I know it'll be easier because she already knows you but I can just tell she's going to embarrass me... which reminds me if she asks you if you want to see my baby pictures you have to say no!"

"Oh trust me if she suggests baby pictures there is no was in hell I am declining,"

Austin let out a huge groan at this. We pulled into the school parking lot and I jumped out. Austin walked around the car and rested against the bonnet as I adjusted my bag on my shoulder. We both made our way into school with a handful of stares. Apparently some people still hadn't gotten over the fact we were dating.

"How much longer do you think people are going to stare at us for," I asked rolling my eyes.

"People need to mind their own business," Austin said loud enough for everybody around us to hear. With is words, the stares stopped and everyone got back to what they had been doing previously. Austin smiled down at me. "Better?" He asked throwing an arm around my waist. I laughed and nodded.

"Okay I need to go find Calum, we have biology next," I smiled at Austin before making my way towards my biology class.

"Hey stranger," Calum laughed when I approached him.

I shook my head at him. "What are you talking about?"

"You've been missing in action,"

"You're being dramatic,"

"When was the last time me, you and Robyn hung out?" He asked.

"It hasn't been THAT long," I protested. Calum just raised an eyebrow at me. "Fine I'll admit we haven't hung out in a while so why don't you two come to my house on Saturday or something,"

Calum let out what looked like a breath of relief. "That sounds great!" There was a twinkle of happiness in his eyes. "I'll let Robyn know, we have french together after this lesson,"

"Okay,"

I was happy we were doing something this weekend, the more I thought about it the more I realised Calum was right. I had been MIA recently. I sat down in my usual seat besides Calum. His phone began to buzz. "Somebody's popular," I laughed wriggling my eyebrows at him.

Calum playfully nudged me in the shoulder. "It's just the band, we have practice tonight,"

I nodded. Through out the entire biology lesson I did what I normally do, copy Calum's work. Seriously, I wasn't going to become biologist any time soon. God help me when we have a test and I can't look at Calum's answers.

The day dragged more than usual, it wasn't until my stomach rumbled at 3rd period that I perked up. My stomach was like an alarm clock telling me that it was time for lunch. I was first out of my seat when the bell rang but the teacher had different plans. "The bell does not dismiss you, I do,"

I rolled my eyes at the line that probably every person in the entire world has heard at one point in their life and sat back down.

"Now I want to remind everyone you have an essay due next week, if you need any help see me BEFORE the deadline," she said sending a look towards Tyler at the back of the class who was practically famous for not handing in work on it's due date because he 'didn't understand the work'. I groaned internally. Didn't she understand in order to not going on a killing spree, my belly had to be full at all times. If she kept us here any longer I won't be held responsible on what happens next. After a 10 minute lecture on how we shouldn't start this essay the last minute, she finally dismissed us.

When I finally made my way to the lunch hall I rushed to get my food before they ran out. Smiling at the woman on the till, I paid for my pizza and fries before spinning around to look at the many tables of students eating their lunches. My eyes scanned across the room looking for Robyn, she wasn't sitting on our table. I couldn't see Calum either, or even Lucas for that matter. I was about to walk over to the empty table where we usually sat but someone calling my name stopped me.

I looked to my right to see Austin smiling at me and waving me over. I awkwardly made my way towards him as his table was practically over flowing with students.

"Where are you going?" Austin asked once I was close.

I nodded my head towards the empty table. "I was going to wait there for Robyn and Calum,"

Austin reached out and grabbed the tray from my hands, placing it down on the table in front of him. "Sit with us,"

I looked around at the table and giggled. "Austin people are practically sitting on the table, there isn't enough space as it is,"

I was right, there wasn't a single free seat. As I reached towards my tray to take it to the other table, Austin grabbed my waist and pulled me on top of him so I was sitting on his knee. Immediately, I could feel the blush creeping up my face.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

Austin rolled his eyes. "Giving you a seat,"

"Why?"

"Because what type of boyfriend would I be if let you sit on your own?"

Now it was my turn to roll my eyes. "Robyn and Calum will be here in a minute,"

"Well until then you can sit here,"

I laughed at Austin and tried to stand up but he was having none of it as his grip around my waist tightened, keeping me in place. Giving up I reached forward and grabbed my slice of pizza. A hand moved towards to my fries and I swatted it away. I looked up to see Charlie smiling at me. I hadn't even realised he was there.

"Just one?" He pouted.

"No way!"

"Austin your girlfriend is being greedy!"

"It's my food!" I exclaimed.

"It is her food," Austin defended.

"But Violet we're practically best friends, you owe me this,"

I shook my head violently. It was at this moment that Austin released the grip he had on my waist and grabbed my arm, moving it and the pizza I had in my hand towards his mouth. He took a bite a I gasped. Appalled, I snatched my arm back.

"Do you guys not understand, this is MY food, not yours!"

Liam chose this moment to walk over to our table, reach over Charlie and grab one of my french fries. "What are you guys talking about?" he asked once he had finished munching on MY food.

"Are you guys actually kidding me right now?" I threw my hands up in frustration.

Both Charlie and Austin began to laugh, Liam on the other hand looked understandably confused. Liam grabbed a chair from another table and pulled it over, the people around made room. From what I'd seen, Liam, Austin and Charlie were the most popular people in their circle.

"So what's the plan for tonight guys?" Charlie asked.

"Yeah can we do something? My mom is driving me crazy at the minute. She's on this weird health kick, all she does is exercise and eat asparagus. I swear to god if she asks me if I want to go on a jog with her one more time, I'm running away!" Liam exclaimed, making me laugh.

"Sorry guys but me and Violet have plans tonight,"

Liam and Charlie exchanged a look, a smirk decorating both of their faces. "Plans huh?" Charlie said wiggling his eyebrows.

"Do not start," Austin groaned burring his head into the crook of my neck.

"What are you guys talking about?" I asked confused.

I felt Austin shake his head. "Don't," he mumbled.

"We're not talking about anything," Liam said defensively.

"Just remember, no glove, no love," Charlie smiled.

My jaw dropped at the same time Austin let out a loud sigh. I looked around to see if anybody had heard what they had said. Lucky for me everyone was indulged in their own conversations.

"Don't be a fool, cover your tool," Liam laughed. I felt myself heat up as the two continued to laugh at their stupid jokes. "Wait I've got another one. Don't make a mistake, wrap your snake,"

"If you're nude, then tube your dude,"

"Love is cleaner with a packaged wiener,"

"Don't be a dick, cover your dick," Charlie chuckled to himself.

Liam turned to face Charlie. "Dude, you just ruined it," he sighed.

At this point, I was the same colour as the tomato ketchup on my plate. Austin finally lifted his head from my neck.

"I swear to god another word from either of you and you're on the bench for the next basketball game,"

Charlie and Liam's expression looked exactly how mine did seconds ago.

"You don't mean that!" Charlie gasped.

"Try me," Austin cocked an eyebrow, his voice was firm. Liam and Charlie threw their hands up in surrender.

There was a long pause as Charlie bit his lip, containing a laugh. "All I'm saying is I'm too young to be an uncle,"

Liam spat out the water he was drinking which ended up spraying all over Charlie.

"That's it!" Austin jumped up from his seat, nearly causing me to fall over. Charlie burst into laughter before shooting up from his seat and making a run for the doors, Austin following behind him.

Liam sighed. "Come on," he said standing up. "We better go save Charlie from getting his ass kicked,"

The two of us followed where the boys had gone only to find Charlie flung over Austin's shoulder. "Say it," Austin said walking towards us.

"Dude how many times have I told you not to do this, it's embarrassing!" Charlie whined.

"Say it," Austin repeated.

"Violet I'm sorry,"

"It's okay," I laughed.

Austin dropped Charlie resulting in him falling in a heap on the floor. Charlie rubbed his behind. "Remind me why we're friends again?" Charlie asked grumpily.

"I ask myself that everyday,"

The bell let out a loud ring telling us we needed to make our way to class. "I'll see you later," Austin said kissing my head.

When I walked into the changing rooms for gym, Robyn was already there. "Hey," I smiled.

"Hi," she replied not looking at me.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Fine,"

I raised my eyebrows at her, there was clearly something wrong. Throughout the whole gym class, Robyn didn't speak one word to me. Yup, definitely something wrong. I grabbed her arm as we walked back into the changing room.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing is wrong Violet, now let go!" She said pulling her arm out of my grip.

I hated when Robyn was annoyed at me and usually made sure to do everything possible to find out what the problem was. I followed her as she began to change back into her normal clothes.

"If nothing is wrong then you'll be okay to come to my house after school right?"

If I couldn't get it out of her now I was going to keep bugging her until she eventually told me. That or I'd lock her in my closet until she agreed to tell me what was wrong.

"Okay," was all she said before she grabbed her bag and walked out of the room, not even bothering to give me a second glance. Seriously what had I done now?

As soon as the final bell rang I practically sprinted towards my car. Reaching for my phone I quickly dialled Robyn's number as I put my key in the ignition.

"Hello," she answered.

"Are you still coming to my house?"

There was a pause down the line. "Yeah, see you in 5 minutes," she said hesitantly.

I ended the call and started up my car. When I got home I grabbed some skittles from the pantry. Skittles are Robyn's favourite candy, whenever she was upset skittles made her feel better. For this reason I always had several bags stashed around the house. These came especially handy for situations like this.

It wasn't long before there was a knock at the door. As expected, Robyn was standing in the door way. I handed her the skittles before making my way upstairs. She followed me to my room and slumped onto my bed.

"Okay what's wrong?" I asked getting straight to the point. It was better to not beat around the bush when it came to Robyn.

"Nothing is wrong," she said not looking at me.

"Robyn come on! How long have we known each other? I can read you like a book, I know something is wrong,"

"How's Austin?" she snapped.

My mouth formed an 'O' shape. "What?"

"Nothing, forget I even said anything," she said getting to her feet. I quickly reached out and grabbed her arm, preventing her from leaving.

"Robyn," I pressed.

Robyn let out a huge sigh. "Okay it's just that... ever since you started dating Austin I feel like I never see you. It wasn't like this with Brandon, I still saw you all the time but with Austin it's like I don't exist, like you don't care!"

"That's not true! You're my best friend Robyn! Okay I'll admit, I haven't been spending as much time with you and I do feel bad for that but I'm trying to fix things. Like did Calum tell you that you two are coming over to my house on Saturday?"

"No, he never mentioned it," she said looking at the ground. She sighed. "Look I'm sorry, I know you're happy and that should be all that matters but how do you think I feel when I come into the lunch hall with Calum and find you sitting with Austin and his friends, laughing and joking."

"I was late to lunch and when I saw our table was empty Austin insisted I sat with them until you got there and then we sort of got a little... distracted,"

Robyn raised her eyebrow. "Distracted how?"

"Like his friend lecturing us on safe sex in front of practically the whole school,"

I saw Robyn's lips briefly twitch upwards. She quickly averted her gaze before groaning and lying back onto my bed, closing her eyes. I unlocked my phone and quickly found the song I was looking for, my phone was already connected to my speakers so when I hit play the music started to ring out.

"Everybody makes mistakes," the speakers sang.

"Violet this is cheating," Robyn mumbled.

"Everybody has those days,"

"One, two, three, four!" I shouted as I jumped on the bed besides Robyn.

"Why are you doing this to me! You know I can't resist Hannah Montana,"

"Everybody makes mistakes, everybody has those days,"

"Everybody knows what what I'm talkin bout, Everybody gets that way!" Robyn shouted as she jumped on the bed
