Lizzie POV

Looking at the our wedding photo that Sean showcased proudly on the nightstand I had to smile. He was worth having and I would do anything to keep him.

Staring at the two of us smiling back at one another I thought about last night and the way our bodies engulfed one another, I touched myself closing my eyes still smelling his cologne against my skin. Every time we were together he branded me as his. Shae was right, he was a beast like no other.

Damn my husband has an insatiable appetite! I chuckled as I slowly opened my eyes and rolled over. Turning to his side, my heart ached as this feeling of panic and uneasiness erupted inside of me. Looking over at the clock it was a little after five...am. I knew he didn't have practice until this afternoon so where was he? I raised up turned on the lamp and then the door opened. A montage of steam followed him as he walked out pausing in the doorway.

"Good morning sleepy head," he said walking over to me butt-ass naked with the towel in his hand. He leaned over and kissed me on my forehead. "Did I wake you? Go back to sleep."

"No, how can I with your goodies all up in here? Where are your clothes?"

"I burned them all. I thought since we were born naked, why change the optics?" He put his hands on his hips and sashayed prancing as if he was in a Rupaul's fashion show.

"Haha very funny. Yo booty needs a tan by the way. Tanned everywhere else but the booty, a whole nother story boo boo...not cute."

"Don't hate, the color is not becoming."

I threw the pillow and it hit him upside the head.

"Ouch! That's called abuse!"

Before I could say another word he was on top of me and I was panting like an overexcited puppy ready for a treat.

"Why are you breathing so hard? Is it because of me? Do you want what I can give you? Am I the only man that can give you what you want baby?" He leaned in and kissed me up my neck until his lips were pressed against my cheek.

My damn body was betraying me.

"What's wrong Lizzy? Cat got your tongue sweetheart?"

Without a care in the world I wrapped my legs around him.

My mind thought back to Shae causing me to pause.

"Hey, what's up?"

"What?"

"You blanked out on me again. You did it last night. Are you okay?"

"I'm sorry. It's nothing." I brought his head down and kissed him on the nose.

"I'm getting worried about you. If something was wrong you would tell me right?"

"Well yeah."

"So..."

"Why do you know me so well?"

"Because I love you so much and I worry about you. Only if you would realize that nobody could ever take your place. You're mine even after time ends. It will always be Lizzybear and Seannypoo."

We both laughed.

"You really want to know what I've been thinking?"

He raised his brow and rolled over on his back. I raised up and sat on top of him.

"I didn't realize how happy I could have been a long time ago. I've been thinking back as we were children, now adults, and how I see us in our rocking chairs holding our great, great grandchildren. I see this perfect life and I just don't want it to ever go away." I could feel myself getting choked up.

"Awe sweetheart don't cry."

Something overwhelming came over me. It wasn't fear or pain but this long breath of joyfulness that everything was going to be alright. Something felt weird for just a moment but it disappeared in the same instance. I knew Shae couldn't cause any drama because Sam had guaranteed me that and I was sure that ass whooping was enough for her. I refuse for my compassion to kickstart. She deserved everything she got.

"Lizzy?" He had this confused expression on his face but I could also see a hint of fear. He began to rise up but I stopped him.

"I love you Sean with everything in me. You mean the world to me and I'm not afraid anymore."

"Afraid...afraid of what?"

"I want us to start our family now. I don't want to wait." I felt wetness on my cheeks.

He brushed my hair back with his fingers. "Oh sweetheart."

"I don't ever want to lose you, I love you so much until it hurts." He smiled leaning up kissing away my tears.

"I know you do, I love you past infinity. Like I said, you're the only woman for me. No one could ever compare." I stroked his cheek and his face softened and all I could see were his beautiful piercing eyes staring back into mine. He kissed me which not only cemented our passion but a new beginning for our future.

Three hours later...

"Wake up sleepy head," Sean whispered in my ear.

"Damn it! I'm up." Why did I take this job with the team? I should have just been a dainty little athlete wife that stayed home. Why did my body wake me up at five am...oh yeah I needed some nookie.

"Good Morning my love. Are you ready for your first day?"

"Most people start on a Monday, not on a Saturday."

"You should be use to working crazy hours."

"Administrative jobs are normally just Monday through Friday."

"I'm sure once you get the hang of it, it won't faze you. I've made you a breakfast of champions."

"You so sweet. What do you have under that cloche?"

"What's that?"

"The proper name for that metal cover."

"Damn, I've learned something new. I thought it was just called a little plate cover."

I shook my head. He chuckled lifting the lid.

"Pancakes, sausage, bacon and eggs. I have some freshly squeezed orange juice. By the way, my new juicer is the bomb. Took less than three minutes to make."

"Ah look, you even have the little parsley for decoration."

"I had to step up my game." He winked at me.

"This is enough for three people you know."

"I know." He took a slice of bacon.

"Ah, I thought this was my breakfast?"

"It is. I figure we can share." He batted his eyes giving me that boyish grin. "Some of those eggs are mine, they have the protein I need." He took the empty plate that was hiding under mine and made himself a plate. He eased up in the bed next to me and turned on the television.

"Do you think everyone will like me?"

He turned to me as I broke off a piece of bacon. "Why wouldn't they?"

"I'm use to bossing residents and medical students around, not a staff. I have a freaking secretary or should I say administrative assistant, definitely don't want to piss her off the first day not knowing what to call her. I mean I've read through the staff profiles and players medical records, I just don't want to fuck anything up."

"You have every right to be nervous. This is a new chapter of your life. Just call her by her name, Tia or Ms. Garrison. Can I call you Boss Lady?" He laughed.

"I'm not the boss?"

"Technically you are to over seventy-five people."

"Damn, you didn't have to say it like that."

"They are either going to accept you or they will have to hit the road. The Lizzy I know is unstoppable. Just talk to them. You don't have to be a bitch, but be firm. You got this. I have all the confidence in the world, that you will do well."

"Thanks for the pep talk."

"Anytime."

I finished my breakfast and took my shower.

"I like the black dress. It's fashionable conservative. It's easy access for me."

"Excuse me?"

"I mean we do need to christen your new office."

"I don't think so. I'm not trying to get fired on my first day."

"You won't...unless I take you to heaven and back." He winked giving me this devilish grin.

"Down boy." I chuckled taking the dress from him and laying it on the bed.

"You really need a shopping trip. Lizzy you literally own four dresses, one suit and two pairs of pumps."

"Hello? Never needed anything but scrubs and jeans."

"Please tell me you didn't wear a scrub top and jeans together."

"There's nothing wrong with that."

"Lizzy no! Say it ain't so. That has to be a fashion faux pas even in the medical field."

"Nobody cares. Patients worried if they are going to be able to walk after their diabetes flare up because they have unhealed ulcers and their skin begins to deteriorate and praying they can keep a foot or a leg."

He held up my suit.

"That suit is what I wore to my interview at the hospital. It's lucky. I had to get rid of my residency slash fellowship interview suit because it didn't fit anymore. Your girl was rocking a size two back then."

"Lizzy you need help."

"I don't have time to buy something...I can just wear the purple dress on Monday. I have a few pairs of slacks in there and a couple of blouses. Actually I could wear the dress you bought me, the one from yesterday. I looked really cute in that." He had his hands on his hips.

"That's casual, not for work."

"Does it matter?"

"Well yes."

"Why are you so obsessed with my wardrobe?"

"Because you're my wife and I care."

"I promise to look cute," I said opening up the new pack of pantyhose that had been in my dresser drawer at my house for about a year. Why couldn't they put a f for front? Gawd I hated this contraption, probably man made.

"I'll call a stylist. They can bring some clothing choices for you to choose or we can late night shop tonight."

"Can't, you have a game tomorrow."

"We can go Monday."

"I'll be working. This is my new gig and I want to make a good impression."

"Then the stylist it will be."

"Fine. I want comfortable clothing. See if they make scrub suits." He threw a pillow at me.

"Not funny Liz."

"That's Doctor Gipson, don't forget." I picked up the dress and he slapped me on the ass, giving it a tingle. "Don't start nothing boy."

"I can definitely finish, but I'm sure you don't want to be late."

"I have a flexible schedule you don't." I teased.

"All I need is five minutes. I'll have you panting in the first two."

"I'm clean and don't need residual liquids sticking to me." I sprayed my Chanel Gabrielle perfume. The one thing I did spend money on.

"That smells really good on you."

"Thanks." I put my shoes on.

"You look like a baptist church usher. The only things you're missing is an Usher number One badge and a fan. Those shoes are hideous."

"The feet are the foundation of the human body. They provide support, locomotion, and balance. Unlike the foundation of a house, our feet must provide us with static support- or when we are upright and stationary — as well as dynamic support — for when we are active. However, if something is not correct or is distorted within the body's framework, problems will migrate while becoming more noticeable and severe over time. Being one of the most complex structures on the body, (I pointed to my shoes) the foot has many moving parts, including twenty-six bones; thirty-three joints; and more than hundred muscles, tendons, and ligaments. I'm not trying to end up with claw toe, or charcot feet, supination or any other feet deformities. These are orthopedic round toe shoes and I'm proud to wear them."

"Very informative and weird at the same time. I love having a smart, beautiful, sexy, and unfashionable wife. How luck am I," he said pulling me into him. He kissed me on the neck. I giggled when he captured my earlobe between his lips.

"When you choke on my earring don't say I didn't warn you."

"Then you would have to save me."

"I'm not a general surgeon, or an otolaryngologist boo. You married the wrong doctor. It's been a long time since I did a general surgery internship."

"So you would let me die?"

"Is your policy up to date?"

"Yep and I would haunt you for the rest of your life. Plus you would miss me too much." He rubbed his hand down my back and raised the back of my dress.

My breathing increased. I didn't want to be late. Part of me wanted to see how far he would go and the other part didn't want to give in because then, I would be definitely late on my first day.

Those damn eyes stared back at me. My heart was throbbing hard in my chest. Now I could see why newlyweds were horny all the time. That newness of being together was damning and psychotic all at the same time.

"You got ten minutes," the words slipped out my mouth just as fast as they travelled into my head.

"Done!"

I laughed as he tossed me on the bed.
