The house was silent, Riley pulled up her book closer. She was reading the book More Than This by Patrick Ness, he was her favourite author.

She shifted on the sofa as she was engrossed inside the novel. Riley didn't notice that her brothers were calling her, Shawn gently shoved her on the shoulder.

Riley lowered the book and looked up at him.
"Get dressed baby" he smiled at her kindly. She nodded obediently and walked up the stairs.

Riley rummaged through her wardrobe trying to find a nice outfit. She sighed as she looked at a mess of clothes, she had nothing to wear.

She decided to grab black leggings and white converse. Riley put them on and walked over to Kyle's room, he wasn't there.

She looked from right to left before cautiously entering the forbidden room. Riley tip toed over to his wardrobe, she extended her arm and searched for a jumper.

She grabbed a light grey Jack Wills hoodie. Riley raised her arms and slid the baggy jumper over her small body. The fumes of Kyle's deodorant reached her nostrils, they burned at the stench of man spray, lots of it.

"You ready baby?" She heard Charlie yell from downstairs. Riley stepped closer to the mirror that hung lob-sided on Kyle's wall, she watched herself as she stretched the sleeve.

"I'm coming" Riley replied weakly. She started to walk down the stairs gripping the white railing for support.

Her brothers watched her, Kyle frowned as he noticed his jumper "sure you can borrow that" he said sarcastically, Riley walked past him.

They all grabbed their coats, gloves and hats before exiting the house. Riley walked along side Mikey who was continuing to ride in his wheelchair.

"How's the leg doing?" Riley looked down at him as she walked.
"It's getting better, I hope" Mikey chuckled and continued to spin the wheel.

Riley turned around to look at Charlie and Shawn who were laughing, Riley smiled at their happiness. Kyle and Ryan followed closely behind them, Ryan was on his phone and Kyle was taking it from him to annoy him, classic Kyle.

Rileys eyes browsed over the familiar street that she had lived on for all her life. The cold winter breeze blew back her hair, her nose wrinkled at the touch of it.

Charlie tapped her on the shoulder, Riley turned to look at him. "You ready for this Riles?" He jogged closer to her, Riley didn't speak, she nodded.

Charlie's lips disappeared as he made a line with his mouth. He gently put his arm around her as they continued to walk to their destination.

After five minutes of walking they had finally arrived. Riley stopped as she looked at the grave yard. Shawn turn back to looked at his sister, he sighed and grabbed her hand.

Shawn dragged her into the grave yard. "It's okay baby. They want to see you" his grip tightened around her hand.

All of them took a deep breath before entering the grave yard were their dead parents lay asleep, forever.

Riley let go of his hand, she had to be brave. She bit her lip and walked over to stone. Rileys eyes shifted as she looked at the names, so many names.

She was very careful where she was stepping, she didn't want to upset the dead. Riley eyes landed gently on their names, her parents names, William and Alice.

Riley gulped and slowly walked over to them. She sank to the ground her knees getting wet because of the damp grass.

A single tear fell from her eyes that glistened with sadness. Someone tapped her shoulder, she turned to look at Kyle who was holding flowers, daisies.

Riley nodded and took them from him. She looked down at them in her hands, daisies were her mums favourite flowers, she smiled.

Riley knelt forward and gently placed them on their grave. It was silent, no one spoke, no one moved.

"Merry Christmas mum and dad" she heard Kyle whisper, Riley turned to look at him as he rubbed his damp cheek.

Riley met his gaze as she hugged him tightly. She felt her brothers one by one join in on the embrace.

All six of them stood in the quiet grave yard, together, hugging. Charlie was the first to pull back. "They would be so proud of you guys, all of you" he smiled at them and then looked down at the grave.

"Thanks for looking after us dude" Ryan sobbed as Shawn patted his back. After what seemed like hours they decided to head home.

Riley exited the cemetery quickly, the grave stones freaked her out. They only went there on special occasions such as Christmas and their birthdays.

Her brother started walking ahead of her, she looked back one last time at the silent cemetery. Riley blinked slowly before jogging to catch up with her siblings.

Riley reached Charlie "Can I walk to Matts house from here please?" she panted trying to recover her breath.
"Sure just be back for dinner" Charlie licked his dry lips, she thanked him and ran to her lovers house.

Riley gulped and slowed down her breathing she placed her hands on her hips and leaned back trying to get more oxygen to her lungs.

After she had stopped panting she knocked on his door. She fidgeted with excitement, she missed him and today she really needed him.

Matt slowly opened the door, he smiled as he saw her. Riley didn't give him a chance to say anything because before he knew it she jumped onto him.

"Riley" he laughed as he patted her hair. Riley snuggled into his shoulder as her legs wrapped around him.

"I missed you Matt" she jumped off and looked at his eyes, his amazing blue eyes.
"I missed you too Riles" he chuckled and grabbed her hand.

He sprinted up to his room dragging her,
Riley giggled as he banged into walls as he used all his strength to pull her to his room.

Matt quickly slammed to door shut. He grinned at her, she rolled her eyes.
"You're a dork. Did you know that?" She slapped his chest playfully.
"Oh really?" He grabbed her "because I think you are" she screamed as he showered her neck with kisses.

He let go of her and slowly walked over to his desk. Matt grabbed his phone, Riley did the same.

Riley looked over at Matt as he called her name, the big goofy smile was plastered on his face like always.

He pulled her in for a hug and leaned down to nuzzle her nose before pressing his lips to hers. At first it was gentle, like he was afraid to hurt her, but as soon as she began to kiss him back he responded by pushing her against the wall of his room, and kissed her with so much passion that Riley saw stars.

She felt his tongue run across her bottom lip and she opened her mouth to let their tongues explore each others mouth. He ran his fingers through her hair and pulled her close, before pulling away from her so that they could catch a breath.

"Wow, what was that for?" Riley breathed and put a hand to her tingling mouth.
"Just because I love you" he smiled at her, Riley blushed.

She was lucky to have him.
