((Kyle up top^^))

Riley looked around the living room scanning for any escape, she could jump out the window or climb up the chimney. Shit. She was in deep trouble if her brothers found out she was talking to a boy and worse kissed him.... twice. She needed and excuse, and fast.

"What boy?" Riley played dumb hoping Charlie would let it slide.
"The blonde boy!" Charlie raised his voice in frustration.
"Oh him, yeah, he's just a guy who goes to my school" she lied. Charlie continued to stare at her making her feel like she could turn to stone at any minute.
"Alright" he sighed "but you know the rule Riley no boyfriends until you are 16." Riley nodded and ran up the stairs, she's an awful liar.

Riley sank into her mattress as she plonked onto her bed. She stared at the wall for what seemed like hours. Music bleared from Kyle's room, it was some egotistical rap music that made him think he was better than everyone else. She rolled her eyes.

Under her bed she pulled out a box. She stared at it before opening it. Inside it was filled with pictures, pictures or her family and her parents. Riley reached for an old picture of her parents.
"Mum, what have a done" she whispered to the picture and began to cry. She ran her thumb over her mums face gently hoping that she would come back and tell her what to do. Every girl needed their mum and now Riley needed her more than ever. Her brothers wouldn't understand, she felt alone.
Mikey strolled past her door whistling to himself, he peered into her room and continued to walk. Riley whipped her tears, she didn't want her brothers to see her cry, she didn't want to be a baby anymore.
"Riles?" Mikey spoke softly as he poked his head into her room. "Are you crying?" Riley whipped her nose and sniffed. "Why are you crying baby, tell me what's wrong." Worry filled his eyes. She pushed the box towards him and he stopped. "Riley, it's okay to miss them." Riley lunged herself onto her brother and weeped into his shoulder, he held her tight.
"I just want them back" she cried trying to slow her breathing.
"I know I know." He patted her head softly. "They would be so proud of you Riles." This made Riley cry even more because she knew her dad wouldn't have been happy about her kissing boy. "Hey, lets go down and have some breakfast" he spoke softly and helped her up.

They walked down together in silence. Riley looked at her brother and smiled to herself, she was lucky to have him. The kitchen was crowded, as it always is. Riley pulled her chair out and ran her hands through her hair.

The smell of Charlie's pancakes wafted to her nose, as she took a sip of her water. "Pancakes" Charlie shouted excitedly as he danced over to the table. They all got two pancakes each, Charlie's pancakes are the best, not too soft, not too crispy, just perfect.

Rileys eyes scanned the table looking at each brother carefully, until they stopped on Kyle who hand his hand on his head and was just staring at his pancakes. "What wrong with you?" she asked with a tone of bitterness, she was still angry with his from the other day.
"Nothing." Kyle retaliated and started to eat.
"He has a serious hangover" Shawn giggled "dudes a crazy party animal" he howled and the twins punched each other on the arm.
"You've been drinking" Charlie asked a tone of annoyance in his voice as he scolded a sleepy Kyle.
"No I was just-" he was interrupted by the door bell. "Who the hell is that?" Ryan got up and opened the door.

When he came back to the kitchen he was not alone, behind him stood a familiar face. Rileys world flipped up side down. No way. No fucking way. Matt was stood in her kitchen rubbing the back of his head, smiling at Riley.

Fuck.
