Yoongi wasn't so smug anymore now that he had to come up with another date. By some miracle he had thought of the festival, but now he had to plan something just as good and he was at loss. He was so frustrated. You seemed to be falling for him, but he didn't want to make the mistake of taking it for granted.

You met at the coffee shop as usual the next week. "I have another song for you to listen to" he said with a small smile as he handed you a pen drive.

"Oh, really?" you said excitedly and took it and instantly plugged it in your laptop.

He looked at you with wide eyes. Now? He thought and gulped, why was he even nervous, he never doubted himself when it came to music. He didn't share anything he wasn't happy with. You took out your headset and connected it.

He watched as you listened and your eyes got sparkly as your smile progressively got bigger and you grinned the way he liked so much. Yoongi smiled infatuated at the sight of it. What was it about you that made him so ridiculously happy like no one else did? He asked himself.

After a few minutes, you took your headphones off and before he knew it, you had wrapped your arms around his neck and were hugging him tightly. He shifted uncomfortably as he looked around and you noticed how he tensed. You pulled away worried at his reaction.

"Is that okay?" you asked afraid you had done something upsetting.

"Uh, I'm just not very comfortable with this in public" he admitted and his face contorted in a painful way. He felt sorry about it, but he needed to be honest. There was no point in hiding it. Hopefully it wasn't too big of a deal to you.

"Oh" your face dropped and he looked at you alarmed. "I'm sorry I kissed your cheek the other day" you muttered and he pursed his lips.

"I didn't mind that" he said sheepishly, it wasn't ideal, but he was pleasantly surprised "just, from now on" he added and you nodded in agreement.

"What did you think of the song?" he quickly changed the topic in hopes of minimizing the issue.

"Do the lyrics have anything to do with Saturday, by chance?" you asked tentatively. He nodded and averted your eyes feeling a little silly about it. You smiled sweetly "that's adorable" you scrunched your nose and he laughed nervously and covered his face with his hand bashfully.

Talking about dates, he remembered he had a question for you. He hesitated for a second, but then forced himself to do it.

"I'm not sure about where to take you next" he said chuckling awkwardly, it kind of hurt his ego to have to ask you, but he resolved it was better than screwing up "is there anything you'd like to do?" your eyes lit up and he furrowed his eyebrows and looked at you funny.

"So I can plan it?" he opened his mouth as that's not exactly what he meant. You got so excited though that he ended up softening.

"Sure, why not?" he couldn't believe he had said that. He wasn't gonna admit he was whipped for you, but you had some sort of power over him that made him not be able to say no unless it truly mattered. Yoongi prayed it wouldn't be anything too awkward, he had no idea what could be going through your mind

"It's gonna be a surprise" you said being dramatic as usual and his stomach dropped. There was no way to prepare for this and he felt anxious at the thought and forced a smile. You narrowed your eyes, you weren't convinced.

"You don't like surprises" you assumed and looked at him carefully.

"I, uh..." he couldn't help but keep having to ask you not to do things and he didn't think this would work in his favor. "I'll do it" he gave in and sighed.

"Are you sure?" you didn't want to push him to do anything for you. He nodded reluctantly.

"Really, it's fine" No, it's not, he thought immediately. He had to pursue you though and he was clueless about how so he'd take it and hope for the best. I hope you like awkward and uncomfortable, he thought sarcastically.

"What about Saturday or Sunday?" you suggested.

"Saturday works, I have this weekend off " he said and you nodded enthusiastically.

"Perfect! I'll text you the details when I figure it out" you said and he hoped he wouldn't regret this eventually. But doing what you wanted had to be a good thing, right? You were bound to plan something you liked for sure.

"I need to get going" you pulled the pen drive out of your computer and handed it to him.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you" he said waving his hand "I added the songs of my mixtape, they are more personal" you took your hand away at what he told you and safely tucked the USB drive into one of the pockets of your bag.

"I'll listen to them as soon as I can" you smiled brightly, you were excited and curious about this new information. Another side of him, possibly? You wished you didn't have to go to work as you couldn't just randomly take out your laptop and headset and listen to music at your job.

As soon as you got home that night, you turned on your laptop and put on Yoongi's mixtape. The first song was called Agust D, whatever that meant. His lines were so cocky, unlike BTS' songs and he was a lot harsher. I'm the thorn in your eyes, forever behind me kissing my ass? A to the G to the U to the STD? You snorted amused, this was great.

You came back and forth between the kitchen and the living room as you listened. I'm a d-boy? Tongue technology? You eventually realized he was talking about his rapping, even though you couldn't figure out what d-boy meant. But you couldn't help but think all the wrong things as the song was pretty bold in itself.

As you kept listening you figured out he was from Daegu, that was that d that he was throwing around. You learned about how he auditioned, school days, how he saw people that took money for granted. You remembered how he said they couldn't afford things, maybe this was what he was referring to, the change?

Sociophobia? Lonely? In pain? Pretending to be strong? To be okay? You pouted as you ate dinner in front of your laptop now. You didn't imagine it, but it made sense when you looked back. It sort of explained his walking away.

Another song started playing. My weak self, depression, OCD, social anxiety, self hatred. They keep coming back from time to time? You started to worry at this bold confession, this song was very emotional. It was pretty hard to listen to in all honesty.

I hope you don't worry because I'm really okay now, this one line came and you smiled brushing off your doubts. He said he didn't care to hide himself though, you considered that paired with his cold attitude. He seemed to be a lot more sensitive than he showed with his unfazed demeanor.

He could produce beauty, you knew that, but also crudeness. This rebellious side of him combined with his softer music and intense rapping brought him together as you knew him. Such a caring person, yet unapologetic and brutally honest, with his insecurities, but also his passion to boost him.

You moved on to another song which seemed to be newer. Who's the king, who's the boss? I'm a genius? Okay, he's back, you thought smiling once again. Then on the following tracks a lot of his worries came back regarding his life and the pressure of success and fame, you were surprisingly learning a whole lot of personal stuff, he wasn't kidding.

As if his rapping wasn't enticing enough, you shook your head in disbelief. The cute shy guy was actually pretty wild, you chuckled to yourself. He was very zealous despite all the hardships, you could appreciate that in more than one way. You wondered if he'd ever be comfortable enough to be like that in your presence and smirked at the thought.
