Mason

I tried for hours last night to see if Oliver was okay, but he wouldn't answer the phone and by the time I got to his house this morning he had changed the locks. What the fuck? I get he needs to be sure that the barracuda and her mini me don't get in without him knowing again, but the rest of us? We're his friends, we're the ones telling him to fight for Abby and tell Avery and his mom to fuck off. Why lock us out? Something isn't right here, I watched him yesterday and replayed it over and over last night. That wasn't the Ollie I know.

Melanie called Kate and they're meeting us for breakfast at Wraps to figure this out. I can't believe we're eating here, but I think we all got hooked on the food. It is good. As we sit down I look around the restaurant, Abby worked here, Oliver came in several times with us in tow just to see her. Why would they just give it up on each other? Why would Oliver let the best thing that's ever happened to him just walk away? As hard as he pursued her, and he never did that before and he just walks.

"I called Oliver this morning to join us, but I got his voicemail. Have you tried him?" Dylan asks me.

"I went by this morning and he's got the locks changed. He's not answering the door or phone." I tell them.

"That was fast." Kate mutters. "He needed to do that. Avery has gotten in too many times without him there, all of us have. I get it."

"He went upstairs with a bottle of whiskey last night and who knows what else. He isn't alright with this, Kate." I tell her. This is his sister, she should be more worried about him than this.

"You think he's gonna drink himself through this? He might. He loves Abby. What he did letting her go was stupid, we don't have a say though." Melanie adds taking a drink of her coffee. "This is between them. It's not up to us."

"That's very mature of you, sweetheart. Now tell me what you know cause I don't have my hip waders on for the load of bullshit you're spewing right now." I growl at my girlfriend. She glares at me but says nothing. I'm not stupid enough to believe what she is saying and she knows it.

Melanie ignores me to pull her phone out and starts texting to I don't know who since we're all sitting right here. I look at Dylan who isn't saying much and Kate who is surprisingly quiet. I frown looking at both of them. What's off here that I don't know about?

"I'm not lying Mason, they have to deal with this themselves. Oliver chose Avery and Abby chose to leave. It's their life, not ours." Melanie glares at me like I'm the one who should drop the subject.

What the fuck?

Then she elbows me hard in the ribs. I cringe and am about to say something when she shows me her phone.

"Drop it! I'll fill you in later. Too many ears."

Okay that's not in the least bit making me wonder what happened now. It's when she just deletes the text that confuses me. Why did Melanie do that?

"I'm going to pack up the stuff Abby left behind at my place and get rid of it. You want to come over and help?" Melanie asks Kate. What? Why would she do this?

"You really don't think she's coming back?" I ask looking at the two girls for anything to tell me what's wrong.

"She's not. Abby's made her choice. She doesn't want to deal with the press and red carpets and she really doesn't want to deal with Avery or Oliver's mother. This is for the best, Mason. She's gone, I just hope Avery trips on her fucking six inch stilettos on camera the next press conference she decides to stage. That was embarrassing for Oliver." Kate says finally joining the conversation. I raise my eyebrows but don't comment. Nasty comments aren't usually Kate's thing, neither is wishing the worst for her boyfriends sister.

Dylan is still looking around and not saying much. I start looking around too and then I notice it. There's press all around us. Hanging on to everything we say. Why are they following us? We aren't celebrities, we have nothing to do with the ordeal Avery and Grace created. But they think we know something more about what happened. Fuck! Of course I should have seen it earlier, but I was pissed off. They don't believe it either.

Kate

This was either brilliant or extremely stupid. I'm not sure which yet. The press was waiting outside our place this morning with recorders in our faces as we tried to leave. I tried to call Oliver to warn him, but he's not answering probably for the same reason. I'm just hoping she got back without an issue.

I text her during the press conference and told her to come back. Abby never responded though. I'm not sure if Melanie knows anything, but Oliver hasn't talked to anyone since we left him and that worries me. He talks to one of us every morning. The dead silence makes me wonder, if he's with Abby, hungover or still drunk. My brother is a sensitive person, he hides it well but I know it. Family and friends are the most important things to him. The betrayal he probably feels right now has to be devastating him if she didn't come back.

"Kate! Keep up sweetheart, you want to try Ollie's a little later?" Dylan asks patting my leg, seeing I'm not paying attention.

"Yeah, I'm getting worried. This silence isn't like him." I check my phone again but again nothing. Where's Abby?

"Good morning!" We all look up to find Avery standing in front of us.

"What do want , skank?" Melanie asks. She's forgetting that Dylan is Avery's brother, we all have after yesterday's fiasco. "You know you aren't wanted here."

Avery just waves her comment off and drags a chair over to join us. I'm really thinking Avery has lost her mind. I'm not real happy with her but Melanie isn't her friend, wasn't her friend and has a good reason to hate her. Melanie isn't from our world of politeness in public so the press doesn't get a story. She doesn't care. Avery needs to watch her back.

"I'm Ollie's girlfriend now. You don't have a choice but to accept me." Avery smiles as she sits down at the end of the booth. "Isn't that right Dylan?"

"I'm not in this conversation Avery. What were you thinking with that little show yesterday? Did you really think Ollie was gonna just take you into his arms without a thought about losing Abby? Have you completely lost your mind?" Dylan growls at his sister.

Avery just smiles at her brother before she waves down a server. "Can you please bring us a bottle of champagne? I feel like celebrating."

Melanie had enough. Pushing out of the booth she storms out of the restaurant with Mason cursing under his breath that he was hungry and quickly racing after her. I can't help but feel like Avery is breaking our group apart. She isn't doing herself any favors. Avery moves the chair back and slides into the booth across from us.

"Now that the riff raff is gone. We have the holidays to discuss." Avery paused as her champagne is delivered to us. "I'm thinking we can do all kinds of fun couple things on the ski trip. What do you say?"

Oliver

I'm pinned in my bed by a sexy redhead. Her naked body is plastered on top of mine. She's holding me down with her sleeping body and keeping me from escaping. I don't want to escape though. I want to stay right here with her. I know the studio needs me today and I'll have to make an appearance at some point but I'm not leaving her until I know she's going to be here when I get back home.

Running my fingers through her long hair and down her back, I slowly start waking my girl up. Yesterday was hard but she came back and I have to ask why. I don't know what changed her mind but I'm so grateful she did. I was ready to drink myself into a stupor last night and stay there without her. When that call came in. I understood it. Ethan fucked with Abby once again.

"Are you planning on keeping me locked up and tied to your bed until they catch Ethan?" I smile at the sound of her tired voice but the picture she paints for me is one I can't say I'd object to. I'd love to tie her to my bed and pleasure her in every way I've dreamed.

"I wasn't planning that but if you're interested I will." I give her my sexy smirk and kiss her forehead. "You know you can't leave baby? You're stuck in my house now until we find him and finish this shit. I don't mind but no one can know you're here and no one can see you. Even our friends."

I feel Abby shift off me and pull away. No not again, I'm not losing her or even thinking that. I pull her to my side and cuddle her close to me. I love her. I can't stand the idea of losing her. Abby relaxes slightly and starts stroking her small fingers over my chest. Every inch of my body is coming alive from her touch. It's invigorating and inviting and I want her all over again. Even after completely satisfying myself last night with her I only want more.

"I can call them, text." Abby says softly and I shake my head.

"I need to get you a new phone first. New number everything. Pick out what you want order it and send to me here. I'm gonna end up destroying yours today so make sure everything you need is off it." I informed Abby who looks up at me not liking this. "I have to sweetheart. If we're gonna make sure Ethan leaves us be he has to believe it. That means you disappear for a while."

"And the holidays in Tahoe? I'm not going am I?" I can hear how let down she sounds. Fuck! I hate doing this to her!

"No." She nods and sighs kissing my chest. "Abby, I'm sorry about this. No can know and I can't chance Avery figuring it out."

"Don't you think she's gonna figure it when she finds me here?" She sits up gathering the sheets around her chest. "How do you plan on keeping her out of your bed? She's gonna try, you know that. This bed isn't big enough for the three of us, Ollie."

"Yeah it is, but it's not gonna happen with Avery." I wink at her trying to lighten the conversation.

"You've has two girls in this bed with you before?" Abby pales looking like she's a bit upset. Oops maybe I shouldn't have admitted to that.

I sit up and take her face in my hands. Stroking her cheeks softly with my thumbs. "Before you. If you want you can order a new bed for us. That will actually work good with my plan."

"Ollie, I can't..." She starts to protest but I press my lips to hers and stop her.

"I'll have someone drop off the catalogs. Pick whatever you want, redo the whole house if you want. I'm okay with it. Anything you want Abby. It's no big deal. It's just furniture, this bed though, it goes so find something because we're sleeping in the guest room tonight."

"Okay, but what about Avery." Again I kiss her sweet lips. She has the best flavor. I'm addicted to the way she tastes.

"I can keep her out. I changed the locks this morning. Your key is on the dresser. Only you and I have keys now." The way it should be, I know that it wasn't good for everyone to get in all the time but I didn't have anything to hide. Now I do. I plan on keeping my girl safe. "I'm not gonna be without you anywhere I go. I promise, we're spending the holidays together and any time I have to go out of town for work, you're coming with me."

Abby sits quietly looking around the room and at me. I know she's concerned about a lot of things that will have to happen, but she's safe here. I'm making sure of that. Avery and my mother are the least of our problems right now. I can hear both of our phones going off once again. They've been blowing up all morning.

"Don't answer your phone. I'm getting you a new one remember. This one is gonna be gone after today. Are there any numbers out of it you need? Photos?"

"I can get the numbers from you again, but I would like to have the photos." Abby says softly then bites her lip. I nod and send all her photos to my phone. It'll take time to get that moved over.

"Get your shower. I need to arrange to get rid of your car today and I have to go to set. You'll be here when I get back right?" I reach for Abby and bring her to me. She nods then kisses me softly. Wrapping my arms around her I tighten my hold. "I'm not losing you, sweetheart. I will chase you and bring you home if I have to but no one is taking you from me."

Abby

I went into shower. Stripping down I could hear Oliver making arrangements with a private dealer to come to get my car. He would have it gone before he leaves for the set with no one being the wiser. He arranged for not only my car but the Lamborghini to be taken. I guess this was his excuse for them coming. He doesn't seem to mind losing the car and as he's on the phone I hear him ordering two new ones.

"Yeah, you're taking a white Camry and the Lamborghini. I want a black Escalade and a black Lexus in their places. Darkest tint on both. Leather, fully loaded and a moonroof.... Yeah, just like the other one, but black.... Sounds good, I'll be on set, only my housekeeper will be here so just trade them out like before. Great, thanks." I hear Oliver hang up and go downstairs then it's quiet.

So I'm the housekeeper, huh? I really hope he doesn't want me to walk around in a sexy maid costume. Of course that could be fun. I suppose I could get a costume and wig, play the part. I'm sure Oliver would love it. I wonder if I could get that delivered? I laugh at the idea and finish my shower. I dry off and am in the middle of getting dressed when I hear Oliver yelling.

As I get out of the bedroom to see what's going on, I immediately stop at the top of the stairs and heard banging at the front door. I stay upstairs mindful of what Oliver said about not being seen. I keep myself hidden and listen to see what's going on. Suddenly the guy I was just in bed with, completely lucid and sober is completely drunk and isn't my Oliver at all. He tousled his hair so it looks like he has been up in a rage, the clothes he has in are wrinkled and worn.

"Open the fucking door, Oliver! We know you're here." I hear Mason yell at his friend. I hear a loud crash like Oliver threw something glass and it shattered. "Oliver!"

I can just see the door so when it opens I see Dylan and Mason very angry standing there. Oh, this may not be a good idea after all.

"I'm busy!" Oliver yells then stumbles back slightly. I see a glass in his hand full of amber liquid. He's drinking? Is Oliver drunk? How did he get drunk that fast?

"You're busy? Busy doing what, man? You're supposed to be on set in an hour. Are you drunk?" Dylan ask trying to help Oliver stand. But steps back cringing from the smell.

"Not drunk enough!" Oliver slurs.

He pushes Dylan away and curses under his breath. My stomach suddenly feels queasy and I cringe watching this. These are his friends, he shouldn't make them worry this way. Oliver stumbles into the living room and pours himself some more to drink.

"Dude, you can't go to set like this. Look, go get a quick shower and clean up. You smell like a bar. Mason make some coffee. I'll drive you to the studio." Dylan gets a plan going, but Oliver doesn't like it.

"No! I'm not gonna sober up. I lost Abby last night. I've never loved anyone like that before. You know this! Because of my mother and Avery she's gone and I can't get her back." Oliver pours more into his glass. "There no reason for me to get sobered up. Just leave me alone." Oliver sounds so heartbroken and defeated. I've never thought he cared about me that much.

"Ollie, just call her. If you talked to Abby, I'm sure you can get her back." Dylan says trying to help.

"Everything I paid for she left behind." Oliver holds up my cell phone and waves it. "She even left the phone I bought her. Damn it!" Oliver yells the last part, hurling the phone as hard as he could at the wall and shattering it to nothing. I jumped a bit at his sudden outburst. "I can't even fucking call her to tell her I love her or to be sure she's okay. I lost her. I fucking lost the only girl I'm gonna love."

"I get it but you still gotta a contract for this film and you have to work. Mason and I will see about finding her, Ollie. You don't want her seeing you like this though. Come on, man. Go up and get a shower." Dylan tried again. "You can't just give up."

Oliver tossed back the rest of his drink before slamming the empty glass against the wall just as he had done with the phone, before he stumbles and trips up the stairs. I hurry back to the bedroom and into the closet just in case as Oliver comes in and locks the door.

"Baby, come out." He says softly. I walk out and over to him. He pulls my into his arms and nuzzles into my neck. "And what did you think of my performance?" Oliver whispers in my ear.

My God, that was all fake? He smells like whiskey. "Did you really drink, or did you bathe in the whiskey?" I ask softly unbuttoning his shirt.

"I splashed enough on me to make it work, what I had in my glass was iced tea. I need you to go to the spare room and stay there until I leave. I don't want them finding you here. I'll be back for dinner. Want take out?" Oliver asks pulling down his pants. It's then I realize it's the same clothes he had on last night. He really was acting.

"I can cook. Gives me something to do." I tell him and with a soft kiss and a nod he walks me to the door. I can hear the three of them talking as they head out. I frown because I really don't want to a prisoner here but I can't risk what Ethan has threatened on my friends and Oliver. I'm stuck here.

I spend the day cleaning up the glass and mess that the boys missed. I heard the big car hauler truck drive up and exchange out the cars. I head back up to the office and decide I might as well start looking for a new bed. Now that I'm reminded of the fact that Oliver was quite a playboy before we met, I'd like to replace our bed with one that's only ours. As I search around online for the perfect bedroom set, I hear something downstairs. I assume it's Oliver coming home and glance at the time. It's only four, it's too early for Oliver. Oh no! Someone got in.
