Home(this one is nice and LONG! But it kinda ends in a weird spot but if I wrote anymore it would be too long.)

You were scared. That's all you knew. You knew you were scared. But that was an emotion. Vulcans didn't have emotions. But humans did. You were half human. But also half Vulcan. Your father was Vulcan and your mother was human. She died from illness a few months before Nero attacked.Your father tried to care for you but being Vulcan wasn't good with emotions. So when Nero attacked he sent you off to a without him. In the colony that was set on a new planet the other children bullied you because of your heritage and tried to get emotions out of you. Of course they came out you were a child and were never taught how to control them. This was happen right now. You were sitting by a window looking out when the older kids started to make fun of you. You just sat there. You didn't want to show them how much it hurt you. But their hurtful words were then drowned out by the sound of explosions. All of you ran and hid. You fell and something fell on your arm. Days past before you heard voices. "A lot were evacuated but there might be some left. Any signs of survivors Bones?" "Just one Jim. Somewhere close." 'That must be me.' You thought about what to do. So you cried. Loud. You screamed out for help. You heard footsteps then some of the debris was moved and were met with the face of a Vulcan man. Tall, brown eyes, everything Vulcan. "See anything Spock?" "Yes Captain. The survivor is a child. You are safe. Are you hurt?" he asked you in his monotone voice. You couldn't response. Your voice caught in throat. You just nodded and used your good right arm to point to your left arm which was trapped under some metal. The Vulcan, who you guessed was Spock, moved it with ease and carefully picked you up. You were blinded by sunlight when you looked up. "She's half human. Like the hobgoblin." the other dark haired one said scanning you, "We need to get her back to the ship. Arms broken. She's malnourished and dehydrated." "Kirk to Enterprise have a medic staff waiting in transport. Four to beam up." Kirk, the blonde one said. The other man must be the doctor. Suddenly lights were whirling around you and you hid your face in the blue uniform of Spock. "It's over." he whispered to you. You lifted your head and saw the metal walls of a ship. The doctor came up and took you. You whined not knowing what was happening. "It's okay. We're going to help you." he calming told you. You looked to Spock and he nodded. You could trust him. Vulcans cannot lie. They took you to a room and started to heal you.

--meanwhile in the conference room--

"What do you need Jim?" Uhura asked annoyed that she had been called in on her day off. "Do you like kids?" Jim asked her while smiling. "I guess so. Why? What's going on?" she was getting really annoyed now. "While scouting the new Vulcan planet attacked by Klingons we discovered the lone survivor was a half human half Vulcan girl. The captain thinks it should be us to care for her." Spock explained. Even the unemotional Spock was worried to the girl. "Why us? You said others were evacuated call them." not that Uhura didn't feel bad for her but she was too busy to care for her and can you imagine Spock with a child? "Her mother is dead and her father was left on Vulcan. Come on. Go to Medbay and look at her. She's adorable. She's like a little 4 year old Spock." Kirk told her. "What do you think?" she turned to Spock. "It is logical that we care for her until we find another planet that has a place for her." "Fine. But when will we find a planet for her?" Uhura asks. "About 3 months. Thanks a lot!" Kirk said and walked out. Uhura signed and followed Spock to Medbay.

------------back to Medbay!-------------

When they arrived they saw Bones talking to you. Well Bones was talking and you were crying. "Come on just tell me your name! Please. I promise no more needles or medicine." You shook your head and looked up when you heard the door open. You saw Spock and locked eyes with him. "You try talking to her. She won't talk to us." McCoy huffed annoyed. "It is logical Doctor. She does not understand what is happening and after a tragic experience. She knows she can trust me because she knows I am also from Vulcan." Spock explained talking the doctor's chair, "Tell us your name. We are not going to hurt you." "(Y/N)." you whispered. "What is your age?" "4." "Do you know what is happening?" he asked and you shook your head. A lot had happened and you were getting confused. Spock started to answer when the communication system came on, "Spock we need you on the bridge immediately." "Yes Captain. (Y/N) Uhura will explain everything. You can trust her." he told you and walked past the woman stopping to brush his hand against hers in a Vulcan kiss. He trusted her so you could. The woman, Uhura, sat next you and explained as simply as she could about the Klingon attack and how her and Spock would take care of you until the crew could find a place for you. This took about an hour and you got tired. You yawned and she noticed. "You need rest. Goodnight." she started to leave put you made a small whimper noise and she looked at you. You held out our arms wanting a hug. Your mother always hugged you before bed. "Do you want a hug?" Uhura asked surprised. You nodded and yawned. She smiled and wrapped her arms around your waist carefully and you put yours around her neck. "Sleep well." She stood up and kissed the top of your head before leaving. You fell asleep moments later. You woke up the next morning and saw Uhura was back. You had decided you had liked her. She reminded you of your mother. She was very pretty and had kind eyes when she looked at you. "Are you hungry? I brought you breakfast. Spock said this is what you eat on Vulcan." she said and you looked into the bowl that held a soup you remembered well. It was your favorite. You nodded and decided to try to speak with her, since you trusted her. "Favorite." "This is your favorite?" you nodded again and opened your mouth wanted the food. She spooned some into your mouth and you swallowed with a smile. "It's funny when you smile. I look at you and see a Vulcan and I expect you to act like one. But then you smile and have emotions. That's good. I like that about you." She liked you! She fed you the rest of the meal and you finished just as the doctor named McCoy but called Bones appeared. "She's stable. You can take her to her quarters now." he signed something and walked away. "Would you like to leave here and go somewhere else? We can get you new clothes." she asked you. You nodded and held out your arms. She smiled and held you close. She took you to a room that had a bed, a desk, and a closet. Uhura opened the closet and pulled out a red dress that matched hers and helped you put it on. "There. Does it feel better to be out of those dirty clothes?" she asks and you nod happily.

------------four months later-------------

Over the months you spent with Uhura and Spock you started to feel happier. The crew did find a planet with a place that was like an orphanage that would take you but right as you were about to be transported with Kirk, both Spock and Uhura stopped the transport. After talking to Kirk it was agreed you could stay with them. They became your family. As did the other members of the crew. Everyone loves you. Even Bones smiled when he saw you. And you loved all the others. But you were closes with Spock and Uhura. You even started calling them mother and father. You were always with one of them. Even if they had the same shift, Uhura would sit you next to her desk. You would sit and wait quietly with out speaking until her or Spock was available to take you else where. After a while you started to get bored of just sitting and started moving around the bridge. No one seemed to notice and if they did they didn't care. Kirk noticed because when you passed him he would pick you up and let you sit on his lap in the captains chair. You liked sitting in the captain's chair. You could see out into space. You also liked watching Chekov and Sulu fly and navigate the ship. One day you were sitting with Kirk, he was asking you about random things you remembered from Vulcan which wasn't much, when an alarm sounded. Kirk sent you back to Uhura and you ran there and sat still. Until you heard Sulu say the wrong code. You had been listening to the things going on around you and you liked learning so Uhura and Spock tried teaching you simple but important security codes incase anything happened and they weren't with you. "Wrong." you whined and tugged on Uhura's dress. "(Y/N) Mother doesn't have time for games. Red alert all people to there stations. "Wrong!" you whined again. "(Y/N) no." she said sternly and turned around. You got up and found Spock. "Wrong!" you whined trying to get his attention. "Wrong!" you said again. "Not now (Y/N)!" he said and returned to work. Then a new alarm sounded, because of the code. "Sulu what the hell is happening? Spock do something!" Kirk yelled. "I am not aware of what is happening Captain." "Wrong!" you screamed causing all the bridge crew members to glare at you. "(Y/N)!" both Spock and Uhura said. "Wrong. Wrong. Wrong." Why won't they understand. "What's wrong?" Spock said trying to calm you so he could get back to work. You grabbed his hand and led him to Sulu. You ponied to Sulu and said "Wrong." "Wrong what?" Spock asked. "Code." you finally found the word. He looked at Sulu and back to you before asking, "Mr. Sulu what code did you use?" Sulu told him the code he had used. "That code is meant for extreme use only if we don't stop it soon the ship will lose power." people started to run around and hit buttons. The alarms stopped and all eyes were on you. "How did she know that was wrong?" Kirk asked. "She has been observing. Learning. As a Vulcan child does." Spock explains. "Sulu you're fired. Let her fly this thing." Kirk laughed.
