My lips were blue, and my form continued to shake as I trie to get warm, but nothing was working. I just wouldn't stop freezing.

And one could blame the villainstanding before me for that.

"I'll freeze you into nothing, little girl~"

Before I could do anything, my eyes started to close. Darkness engulfing me.

This was the first time I have ever got kidnapped...

I and Hawks walked together as we both headed to the crime scene. I could tell just by glancing at him every now and again that he just wanted to get there faster, but I was in charge, and we're not flying there.

In all honesty, I hate heights, but I could never bring myself to tell the guy because I really wouldn't know how he would react.

He was a complete unknown to me. I mean, does he get angry easily? Does he hit people when he gets super angry? Abusive? Crazy? Who knows, he could be nice and I just have trust issues...

Then, just as we hit an overcrowded area. Girls seemed to flock right towards Hawks while easily pushing me away. I could snap at them, and show them my police badge, but...that'll probably just cause more trouble.

Taking a look towards Hawks, I saw that girls were already showing him bras to sign. Well, I kind of already knew that I have no chance with him.

Now, onto the case.

Never looking back, I left Hawks there, my mind going back to the case at hand. My lips forming a little grin as I was already working. My mind already having a few suspects at hand.

"Y/n?"

My gaze flicked over as I spotted an old friend of mine. A light smile crossing my face as i went over to him.

"Oh, hey. Subaru. It's been awhile."

The boy in front of me was the same age as I was. We were childhood friends even. Always sticking together and what not.

"Yeah it has-"

My eyes widened as I shook my head, "sorry, but I have to go! Some other time."

He pressed his lips together as he watched me make a fast exit. My legs rushing away as I made my mind go back to the case. He slightly wondered if he said something wrong...though, he barely got a whole sentence in, so it couldn't be that. Deciding to think that I was just busy, he merely rose a hand to wave goodbye, though he did promise himself to see me again when I wasn't working.

It was good to see Subaru again.

All the while, I didn't notice a heavy glare set on us both the whole entire time. Despite that fact that I haven't even spoken to Subaru for a whole five minutes. In fact, that was the shortest conversation I ever had with my childhood friend.

And hopefully not my last.
