It's been a while but here's the next chapter.

Oh! And I've decided to change (M/n) to (Y/N), since I'm pretty sure a lot of you would be happy about that. 

Also my apologies for any mistakes.

“So, who was that?” A voice said beside me.

I quickly stood up, turning my head to the side. To see the one and only, “A-Akio?!”

My eyes widened a bit, as I noticed the brunette boy standing on the other side of the bench. "H-How did you get there?" I stuttered, as I shifted my eyes away to avoid making eye contact. 

"I walked here," He was saying, "You know, with my two feet." I suddenly heard his footsteps, as he started to come closer to me.

I quickly felt my heart starting to race, as I took a step back. "Wait, no! I mean I didn't see you standing there, so how-" 

"Long was I standing there?" Akio said, cutting me off as he stopped right in front of me. I slowly nodded, then waited for his response.

"Long enough." That was all he said. I immediately looked down at the ground quickly, in hopes that Akio wouldn't see the red, embarrassed look on my face. 
"Well… ", Akio started to say, which caused me to slowly raise my head to look at him, "Now it's my turn to ask the questions!" He said, with his cheery smile.

"Oh, well I don't think that that will be necessary-" "Who was that girl?" Akio asked, cutting me off. I couldn't help but look away from him, as I started to fidget with my hands. "That girl?" I repeated, feeling my face turn more red than it already was. "Yes, that girl." He responded quickly. 

"She was.. " I started to say, then turned my head to look at him, "She was just a friend." 

Akio raised an eyebrow, and tilted his head to the left. "A friend, huh?" Akio said, asking no one in particular. "She didn't seem like just a friend to me though," He said, with his cheery smile still in place. "W-What makes you say that?" I quickly stuttered. Akio suddenly moved closer to me, now only being about two centimeters away from my face. "Why, because I saw her holding your hand." Akio whispered, with his cheery smile now replaced with a smirk. 

My (E/c) eyes widened, as I opened my mouth to say something but no words came out. So I turned my head away, embarrassed. I suddenly heard giggling coming from Akio. Then I saw him move back away from me, from the corner of my eye. 

"Aww, you're cute when you're embarrassed, (Y/n)!" He said, still giggling. I quickly turned my head back to look at him again, surprised. I'm sure that I was completely blushing at this point. 

I opened my mouth to try and say something again, but all that came out was, "Akio.. ". 

"You should have seen yourself!" Akio was still saying, "You got so worked up about this girl. That you were even lost for words!" Akio started cracking up. I couldn't help but frown at him. 

"Akio. She really was just a friend though," I said softly, as he started to quiet down his laughter. "Are you sure about that?" He asked me cheerfully,  but something just felt off about it. I nodded, "Yes, I'm sure. She was just a friend." 

Akio just stared at me for a few seconds, as he seemed to be in thoughts. But his cheery smile soon came back right after. "If that's the case, then I guess this should be okay!" He said, with a lot of confidence as he moved towards me once again. Causing me to tilt my head quizzically, "Huh?" 

I suddenly felt something grab my right hand, causing me to look down as l realized that his hand was holding mine. I felt my face turn red, as I looked away trying to hide the smile on my face. "Akio..", Was all I said. 

"Like you said before, we're friends.  So this shouldn't be a problem too." Akio said, happily as he used his other hand to pick up my bag, before handing it to me. Once I took it with my free hand, I placed it over my left shoulder. I couldn't help but look back at Akio's hand holding mine. But for some reason my stomach started to feel strange, but not in a bad way. I wasn't sure how to explain it.

"Come on, we should start heading to class now! You wouldn’t want to be late now, would you?" Akio suddenly said, before I felt him give my hand a little squeeze. Then started to run off, while dragging me along with him. "Wait! Do we even have first period together?!" I yelled.
