Chapter 23: Healing

This chapter includes minor NSFW content- depends on your definition of inappropriate- in other words, it's just a really steamy scene, alright? They didn't have seggs or anything but I'll be sure to put a warning for when it comes up.

Finn's POV

Miraculously, Oliver actually agreed that we went to his house so that I could treat his bruises. I know I could've simply done it in a bathroom at the gala, but that would've been too easy, and I didn't want anyone to walk in on us when we're doing something intimate like that. And besides that, I wanted to see his brother and his mom.

Chad was gracious enough to drive the both of us there and I knocked on the door to which his mom answered with her carrying Austin, the both of them were in their PJ's, ready to go to sleep.

"Oh, Finn, what a nice surprise! Please, please, come inside, I'll prepare you some tea." She said as she stepped aside to let the two of us enter. She gave Oliver and I each a hug before urging us to follow her deeper into the house.

As we were walking, I couldn't ignore the fact that Oliver had slipped my hand into his, rubbing it ever so slightly.

"Hello, Mr. Finn." Austin greeted shyly as we reached the kitchen, his little hands tugging at my suit.

"Hey, Austin. I hope you've been sleeping more and following your mom, huh?" I said as I crouched down beside him so our eyes were leveled.

"Yeah! My mom- mommy and daddy always, uh, always tell me I'm a good boy, 'cause I, hee, I sleep more now!" He said as he raised his arms up the air proudly.

His time-to-time stuttering and him being so proud of himself was just too much cuteness for me to handle. I gave him a smile before patting his hair.

"That's good! I hope you keep that up." I said just as Oliver's mom finished with her signature tea.

"There you two go. Now, tell me, how did the gala go?" She asked excitedly, sitting down in front of us, waiting for us to tell how it went.

Oliver and I looked at each other before I cleared my throat. "Well, it went really great actually, Oliver and I... well, we were together the whole night, just going around and talking to people, the most times I've talked to people I didn't know. Chad was also with us." I explained which made her smile.

"You know, the funny thing is... Oliver had attended that gala twice now but I could tell he never enjoyed it, even with Chad there, he would always go home extremely early and this has been the latest he went home." Jen told.

I laughed along with her while Oliver only shook his head with a smile. After our laughter died down, Oliver looked at me with a questioning gaze. I could tell that he was debating whether of not we should tell her about the mess that actually made us go home. So I subtly shook my head and from that, he nodded in understanding.

"Well, I'm sure you two are very tired with the gala and all, drink your tea before it cools. And by the way, if you want, Finn, you can sleepover here." Jen offered.

"I think I will. If that's not any bother on your part?" I asked shyly.

Jen shook her head. "You're welcome here anytime, you're like a family already."

I was about to say something when little footsteps interrupted our conversation. "Mommy, where is Mr. Dino?" Austin suddenly said as he came running down the hall towards us.

"Oh, I'm not sure. Oliver, could you maybe help Austin find his stuffed toy? It's somewhere in the library."

"Sure. Come here, Austin, we'll find Mr. Dino." Oliver said before Austin adorably led him out the kitchen.

Once the two of them were out, Oliver's mom turned to me, a content smile on her face. "By the way, Finn. I meant what I said earlier, if you caught my drift. Oliver seemed so much happier when you came into his life. You two met at the start of Junior year, right?"

"Yeah." I clarified.

"I remember that particular day, he went home and he was smiling like a madman."

I chuckled with a shake of my head. "I think he was just happy that I agreed to help him court my best friend."

"Huh... But I remember him specifically saying that 'he met this boy'."

My eyebrows shot up in surprise, my mind racing with the newfound information. "Uh. I don't know, he hasn't said anything about that."

She suddenly grabbed my hand which almost made me flinch. "I know you'll take care of Oliver, and I know he'll take care of you. And know I support you two so much. I would like you to be a part of the family and if you two ever have a problem, you can talk to me."

I nodded gratefully. "Thank you. I really appreciate that. I think the only time we'll ever have a problem is him always eating the last cookie."

She threw her head back to laugh and I only noticed how much Oliver inherited his mannerisms from his mom, even their laughs are almost the same. What I definitely noticed was that Oliver got his grace, eyes and hair from his mom. He was basically a carbon copy of Jen.

"But anyway. I don't think I've seen him be so sweet towards someone other than us. Please tell me, how does he treat you?"

I smiled unconsciously. "Well, he's the first guy in the school who treated me like an actual person. He's sweet, he's a little flirty and he likes to tease me, a lot. But overall, I can assure you that you raised him well."

Just as I finished speaking, Oliver and Austin returned with his Dino plushie.

Jen stood up with a sigh. "Anyway. I think I'll put Austin to sleep now. You two, please have a good night. You can take anything from the pantry or the fridge."

"Good night!" Austin said adorable as his mom lifted him up into her arms.

"Good night, Austin." I said silently while they continued to walk down the hall, away from us.

Austin gave the two of us an adorable and tired wave before they both disappeared around the corner.

Oliver smirked at me as silence filled the room.

"What?"

He laughed. "Nothing. I just hope my mom didn't spill any embarrassing stories of me."

"Depends on your definition of 'embarrassing'. She just told me how happy you were with me."

His smirk was replaced by a genuine smile. "Well, that's not embarrassing, it's just the truth." He said before grabbing me by the waist and pulling me into him. "Ow." He hissed in pain just as our body were pressed but he quickly covered it up with a smile.

I slightly grimaced as I gently touched his stomach. "I completely forgot you were injured. Let's go up to your room and I'll take care of that."

He smirked at me once again. "You sound like you want to do something else." He teased.

I raised an eyebrow at him. "Or do you want us to be outside?"

He mimed zipping his mouth. "Noted."

We walked through their house- but not before snagging a bowl of ice and a towel- up the stairs and into his room without making much noise but once I closed the door, Oliver pulled me by the hand and into him.

"Oliver, you're injured."

"I don't care... You're too beautiful to just be standing there."

I rolled my eyes and pushed him off of me gently, he complied shortly and sat down on the bed. He started unbuttoning his suit and then eventually to his shirt. He started slow, from the top to the bottom and every time he would open a section up, it exposed more of his chiseled body. I could only stop what I was doing to stare at him.

Once he finished, he kept his shirt open as he smirked at me. "What are you looking at, Finn?"

I swallowed awkwardly and just continued what I was doing without a response or anything.

After a few more seconds, I finished wrapping the ice in the towel and got started on his jaw. He would occasionally wince whenever the ice would touch his delicate skin so I started to be more careful.

"Is it too much?" I asked as his mesmerizing eyes landed on mine.

"Just right. I have you close, nothing matters." He said with a smile.

I purposed pressed harder which made him wince and laugh.

"Ow. Why don't you like it when I go mushy on you?"

"Because you don't mean it." I said stubbornly.

He sighed. "I thought I made it obvious that everything I say nice about you, I mean it all."

I looked at him as his face was illuminated by the orange light from his lamp. "I'm sorry. I know it's really annoying that whenever you'd say or do something nice, I always doubt it. It's just... I don't want to assume, you know? I'm scared to trust."

Through the dim lighting, his eyes managed to produce a spark as he gave me a smile, his hand cupping my face gently.

"I understand that. The world is a dark and dangerous place, so being cautious is natural, nothing to say sorry for. But in my case? I can handle it, instead, I'll just make you believe it."

*Mature-ish scene coming up*

He looked so vulnerable, like he was waiting for something as I watched his eyes drift down to my lips. And so I grabbed the both sides of his face and pressed my lips against his. He immediately responded by grabbing my waist to steady me on his lap as his lips moved against mine urgently. His hands reached the inside of my shirt which made me gasp and give him the entrance he had been seeking.

I pulled away to catch my breath as I wrapped my arms around his neck, our foreheads touching.

"God, words can't even describe how much I love you, Finn. I want to give you the world."

I responded by softly kissing his jaw, his head tilting up while his fingers ran through my hair. My lips made their way onto his neck, making him hiss in pleasure and just when I had control, he grabbed my chin and urgently pressed his lips against mine. I let him explore inside of my mouth, it felt so surreal, his hands on my waist and in my hair, it felt like a dream, an amazing fantasy I've had for months and now it's coming true.

This time, it was his turn to explore me, his lips reaching my neck and all I could do was sigh as each of my hands came in contact with his soft, blond hair and his exposed stomach.

"Oh... Oliver, oh God." I stuttered out which made him stop.

"You alright?" He asked with concern and worry in his eyes.

I nodded as my eyes closed on their own. "Yeah... It feels good."

He started unbuttoning the suit that I was wearing and tugged it off my shoulders, leaving him another layer to take off.

"Can I...?" He asked as his hands reached the first button and I just nodded as a response.

He started on it and after a while, he tugged it off my shoulder, leaving me bare and naked.

"Oh my God, Finn, you're breathtaking." He said, a twinkle in his eyes as it wandered down my body.

"Yeah, right, but it's your turn."

He smiled at me mischievously, fortunately, he only had his shirt left and it was already open. So I tugged it off his shoulder and threw it aside and just as expected, he looked like a God. He had an athletic type of body, his arms were all veiny and muscly and- his six-pack, God, what did I do to deserve this? Fortunately, I was able to contain myself from drooling.

"Oh, um..." I stuttered out once again as my eyes wandered up and down his body.

"Like what you see?" He teased with a smirk.

My eyes met his and I just nodded. "Yeah, to be honest." I admitted.

"You're adorable, you know? Now, come here." He said before scooping me up effortlessly and setting me down on his lap.

"Oh- Uh- are you sure with this... position?"

"I am. Tell me if you aren't."

"No, I just... don't want you to be uncomfortable."

He gave me a genuine smile before he wrapped his arms around my waist. "You could never make me uncomfortable, remember that, Finn. Everything you do, you leave me entranced."

I pouted before wrapping my arms around his neck, feeling his chest heave and fall as he breathed. Our bodies felt warm together, his soft skin against mine, it felt right.

The only sound available in the room was mine and Oliver's faint breathing and the clock on the wall. The room was lit in a dim, warm light emitting from the lamp on the night stand and the moonlight coming from the window.

"Ahem. As much as I want to be in this position forever. I think we need to change into more comfortable clothes. Are you sure you're staying here?"

I lifted my head to look at him. "Yeah, I already convinced my dad to let me stay the night. Although, I don't have any clothes with me right now."

"You're at my house, Finn. You can wear my clothes."

"Oh, sure." I said before getting off of him. "I think I'm gonna shower, can I use yours?"

He frowned at me, tilting his head to the side and giving me the 'wtf' look and I immediately got the hint.

I laughed and raised a defensive hand. "Okay, okay. I was just making sure." I said before entering his bathroom.

. . .

After around 10 minutes, I had finished showering. I put on his oversized shirt which hung above my knees. I combed my hair with my fingers before completely drying it with Oliver's spare towel which he graciously provided.

I returned to the bed where Oliver had his PJ's on, a cute shirt with little bears on them.

"Your shirt's adorable." I said as I sat on his bed tiredly.

"You're adorable.

I rolled my eyes which made him laugh but I kept serious. "By the way. Thanks for letting me use your bathroom, shirt, towel, seriously. I feel like I'm invading."

He shook his head reassuringly before laying down just enough to reach me for him to wrap his arms around my waist.

"There's no things as such. What's mine is yours." He said with a slight smile.

Before I could realize what I was doing, I reached over and combed my fingers through his soft, silky hair.

"Come lay with me here, Finn. I wanna feel you beside me." He said, his eyes silently pleading with me.

I laid down beside him, our heads on the side of the bed and I could already feel his arms wrapping behind my head. I had no choice but to lay my head on his chest where I could feel and hear his heartbeat. My chest was overwhelmed with warmth and affection as I continued listening to his heartbeat. Oliver's heart, one of the things that was keeping him alive, and the heart that loved me. There was something about the thought of listening to someone else's heartbeat that really made me feel sort of things, it connected to me, it felt like we were much closer. Listening to his heart beat... was oddly intimate.

As we were submerged into silence, I couldn't help but look around the room. I then noticed the picture frame beside his bed, a picture frame that had previously been facing down and I noticed in the photo that it was Oliver and I in the photo booth from the Lancaster Spring Festival.

"Oh my God, why do you have that framed?" I asked, pointing at the picture frame.

"What- Oh, that, well because it deserves to." He said.

"What was in that picture frame before the festival though? I noticed it was always facing down."

Oliver shifted awkwardly. "Well, uh... It was a candid photo of the two of us, back in September, the Homecoming Game, that's what I put there."

I looked up at him. "What, really? Why would you do that?"

"Because I loved that candid photo of us, and I was just too shy to show you. That's why whenever you'd come over, I would hide the photo."

"You? Shy? That's not in your vocabulary." I teased him.

"Well it is when it comes to you." He said.

I raised an eyebrow at him. "Why do you say that?"

A soft smile appeared on his face. "Well, I feel like I have to be my best self around you, you know? I feel so conscious being around you and I never feel that way about anyone else. This is one of the reasons I like you. It's because you make me feel all sort of things I never felt. And I may never show it but I did get shy around you back then."

I smiled before looking up at him just to see him looking back at me. "Have I mentioned I love you? I don't know how you're always able to say the right things."

He shook his head with a smile. "I love you too, and you know that already. I love you more than I love myself, you're my world."

He sat up with his arms still around me. We got into the proper position on the bed, our heads on the pillow and the blanket on us.

"Goodnight, Finn." I heard Oliver whisper.

I could only mumble a reply as I wrapped my arms around his waist tighter. I felt myself succumb into a deep rest with Oliver's arms around me.

Oliver, someone who I loved.
