3 months later..

He had stopped trying to look for you.

Even though some days he'd still wake up hopeful to receive news about you... just something.. anything.

But he'd stopped trying to look for you... At least that's what he told himself.

Jungkook walks down the crowded street, his bright yellow umbrella held overhead to shelter him from the light drizzle. He keeps his head down even though his black mask and dark clothes do a good job at concealing his identity. Then again, you can never be too prepared, right?

He listens to the light pitter patter of the rain on his umbrella with a blank mind. He doesn't need to think about where he's headed, he's done it enough times in the past few months for his body to know each turn and step by heart.

Having reached the cafe he looks in through the glass door. It's nearly 10 PM and it's evident in the empty space that closing time is nearing. But it doesn't bother him because he never goes in. He merely stands at the glass door and reminisces first meeting you.

Would things have been different if he had never entered the cafe that night? If he hadn't been rude enough to make you bath him in coffee? If he hadn't complained and got you fired?

Blowing out a sigh he continues with his walk.

And that's when he sees you.. his heart leaps out of his chest.

A glimpse of unruly black hair. He sees your head turn a corner and disappear. Before he knows it he's sprinting at full speed. Jungkook ignores the annoyed pedestrians he shoves past and the curses that leave their lips aimed at him. He doesn't care. He's so close to getting what he's waited so long for. As he comes to stand where he'd seen you only seconds ago he whips his head around trying to see where you disappeared off to... again. Finally spotting you he moves fast.

Coming to stand close enough he places a hand on your shoulder, his heart beating too fast against his chest. When the girl turns around and a pair of light brown eyes stare back at him in confusion he feels his heart plummet. It wasn't you after all.

"Sorry.. I mistook you for someone else." Jungkook hurriedly apologies bowing low and leaves before she can recognize him.

He walks to the second location with a heavier heart.

Han river is as calm as any other day. The water laps against its bank with soft sounds. Jungkook sits down on the ground and pulls his legs up to his chest. Everything seemed like before except you weren't sitting next to him talking about your childhood. He closes his eyes and tries to remember the sound of your laughter but it's muffled even in his head like a memory that's beginning to fade.

He looks at the umbrella in his hand continuously turning it over. Sometimes he wonders whether you'd been a dream all along. No one ever talks of you anymore, maybe because they see how much the topic affects him.. or maybe you really were a figment of his imagination. But the umbrella in his hand is a reminder that you truly did exist.

He continues to stare at the bright object in his hand... the only proof that you ever existed.

As he walks down the familiar street, he's driven down countless times before, he feels odd. Unlike all the other times he wasn't dropping you off or going to see you but merely walking past. When he comes to stand before an apartment complex he looks up to his right and sighs. Sunghyun's and your apartment.

Sunghyun refuses to speak to him of you, no matter how many times he asks. And he asks the man everyday.

When the sky begins to gurgle he finally decides to go home.

"Jimin-ah," Hosoek calls out and waits for a response. "The movie is about to start."

"Yeah, the pop corn is almost done." Jimin replies from the kitchen.

A few short minutes later he carries out a bowl mounting with buttered pop corn. "Hyung, do we have to watch a movies? I really don't feel like it."

"I don't know what's got into you and Jungkook. I'm not letting you stay locked up in your room another second longer. You will sit and watch this movie with me. Got it?" Despite the older man's bright personality when he means business he really means business. Jimin simply nods knowing there's no way out and earns a bright smile.

"Seriously, you're watching a movie without me?" Taehyung pops his head out of his room and soon joins the other two.

Half way through the movie Jimin is glad he agreed to this. He finds his mind getting distracted away from you and feels a little more relaxed.

When the front door open he looks in its direction and sees Jungkook walk in. He manages to attract the attention of all three but doesn't spare them a glance. Walking over to the fridge he pulls out a bottle of water and chugs half of it.

"How was your walk?" Jimin asks with as bright a smile he can manage. Even though he knows exactly what Jungkook will say next he asks the same question every time.

"Fine." He mumbles the same response he's been giving Jimin for the past three months.

"Jungkook, we're watching iron man. Do you-"

"I'm tired. I'm going to sleep." Jungkook is quick to cut Taehyung off and slips into him room before the conversation can stretch any longer.

"He hasn't had dinner again, right?" Hoseok asks the question they all know the answer to. They simply shake their heads. "I swear sometimes it feels like I'm taking care of moody toddlers. Except these toddlers never seem to grow up."

The final credits begin to roll and Hoseok stands up to stretch his body. "I'll go get Jungkook-ah some food. Tae Tae, you didn't eat the leftover pizza right?"

"Wait! There was leftover pizza?"

Taking the left over slices of pizza Hoseok walks towards Jungkook's room and knocks on the door. The other two watch quietly. After nearly 5 minutes there's still no reply and the older man is growing exasperated.

"Jungkook-ah, open up! You need to eat something."

The door remains shut.

"He's pretending to be asleep, again?" Jimin asks to which he receives a nod of confirmation.

"He's been like this ever since Y/N left. He won't talk about it when asked but every time her name is brought up he just grows silent." Hoseok says.

Jimin's ears perk up at the mention of your name but as he registers what Hoseok said his brows draw together.

"What do you mean?" He looks up at Hoseok who only shakes his head.

"It's getting late. I'm going to bed. Good night."

Jimin turns to his friend then targeting his question elsewhere. "What do you think Hyung meant by that?"

Taehyung gulps shifting in his seat yet refusing to look at the other. "H-how am I supposed to know?" His eyes are focused on the lady on the TV screen trying to sell him a blender.

"But Jungkook has been this way ever since Y/N left, hasn't he? Do you think something happened between them?" Jimin looks at the other, who's still avoiding his eyes and instead is examining the remote control.

"I d-don't know. You're just thinking too much."

"Taehyung-ah, look at me," Jimin's voice is steady. It's at times like this that Taehyung thinks of Jimin's cute appearance as a deception.

Taehyung increases the volume on the T.V. trying to drown Jimin's presence. By some miracle the topic had been avoided for 3 months, Taehyung didn't want to be the one to put a end to that even though he knew more than anyone that his friend deserved to know the truth. Jimin feels an unexpected wave of irritation roll over him. He grabs the remote from his friend's hand and switches off the T.V.

"What is wrong with you? I told you I don't know anything." Taehyung's voice begins to rise.

"Then why can't you look me in the eye when you talk? What are you hiding from me, Taehyung?" Jimin's brows draw closer as an unreasonable sense of anger fills him. He hated it when people hid something from him. "Taehyung, I thought we were closer than that."

"Gosh Jimin!!" Jimin flinches at the loud tone. "Of course Jungkook's upset about Y/N disappearing into thin air! How can you not see how much he likes her?"
