Annabeth's pov

The month before graduation is always the most hectic. The last month is usually the easiest. We are not in the last month sadly. "Earth to Anna" Sofia waves her hands in front of my face, snapping me out of my thoughts. "God you're just as bad as Valentino" she laughs.

I haven't spoken to Val since that night. It's been at least 2 weeks. "Can we please not mention him?" Sofias eyes softened as she held my hand. "Anna I wouldn't be mentioning him if I didn't think you both would work it out. What he did was wrong, no doubt about it he shouldn't have blown up on you like that. Do I think you both will fix it yeah I do. No matter what you think he's your person"

"Hello beautiful" Carlo sits next to me handing me flowers. I take them from him, setting them down on the other side of the table. The thought is nice but no matter how many times I tell him we're just friends he won't get it. "Thank you Carlo, very thoughtful" I gave him the fakest smile that I could.

Sofia motions that she's throwing up looking at us. "Are you going to the performances tonight?" She shows no interest in Carlo. "I kind of have to I'm performing"

"Yeah I'll definitely go then" I'm thankful she took the topic off of Val. All Alessio and Achilles have been trying to get me to do Is forgive Val. We had a big argument the day after I found out I got in.

I had already forgiven him but it's the memory that hurts. What if it happens again? Mom told me we'd always find our way back to each other if this is the universe telling us we need time apart.

Carlo moves from next to me sitting across the lunch room. "Thank god he left" Sofia claps out, making me laugh. "Sofia don't be so mean" she shrugs his shoulders picking up his bag.

"I'm not being mean if you didn't want him here either" she's not wrong.

Val's pov

"Valentino you do realize she's not really with Carlo. He's just using the chance to try to get with her" Nicola throws a grape at me. I roll my eyes just hearing the name Carlo.

I haven't been with Anna for 2 weeks and it's 2 weeks of hell. I didn't mean to blow up on her. I was just under too much pressure and stress and took it out in the first person I saw. It just happened to be her.

If I could take it back I would. Carlo walks over to her with a bouquet of flowers giving them to her. My heart breaks when she takes them from him. At least he's doing what I couldn't. "Sure it doesn't seem like it" I look down at my phone.

"Val when I asked her about Carlo she just kept saying that he won't stop, she's trying to tell him no but he won't let her go" Sofia says sitting down next to Achilles. I watch as Anna walks out the Lunch room putting her hair in a bun.

She sits at her old table alone, taking out a book and her headphones. "Idiot, go talk to her" Alessio says, pushing my shoulder. "Shouldn't she come and talk to me?" Alessio gave me an are you serious look. "No because she didn't fuck this shit up you did now put on your big boy boxers and talk to her." I groan, grabbing my bag.

Anna pays me no mind when I sit across from her. "Baby" I take her headphones and she shuts her book looking at me. "Yes I know what I did was a dick move I'm sorry"

"Val you told me you weren't mad but then ignored me"

"I know I fucked up I'm sorry"

"Are you still mad?"

"No I don't think I ever was it was more shock like it came too soon"

"This is why I tell you to talk to me"

"It won't happen again my love i'm sorry"

"You're lucky I love you" A smile comes to my face. The bell rings I hold her hand walking her to her next class.

When school finished I quickly went home to drop my things off and take a shower. I changed into dress pants and a polo. After Anna's performance we were all going to go out to eat so might as well look nice. I grab my car keys and the bouquet of flowers I bought her.

I speed through every light to make it to the school. As soon as I walk in Adia tries to talk to me I brush her off going to find Anna. She's in her dressing room with Alice. "I'll let you two be" Alice walks out closing the door behind her.

Anna smiles at me, placing a kiss on my lips. "You look handsome" I wrap my arm around her waist holding her closer to me. "Thank you my love. These are for you" She takes the flowers hugging me tightly. I hug her back feeling safe with her.

"Thank you Val."

"Anytime Belissima now go dance your ass off" she laughs. I go through the stairs to find my way to the auditorium. I sat next to Alessio who thankfully held my seat. It's packed tonight maybe because it's the last performance.

The music starts to play and Anna comes out. She looks beautiful and a bright smile is on her face while she looks at the crowd. I watch as she moves across the stage doing what she loves the most. My heart breaks but swells at the same time. She looks so happy dancing up there.

I know this is the last time I'll see her dance in Sicily for a long time.
