Annabeth's pov

"You look beautiful Anna" Mom fixes the bottom of my dress before looking in the mirror. The lavender dress falls down my knees, my hair down my back. I actually feel pretty. "Thank you mom" She smiles at me and I fix my necklace while taking a deep breath.

Mom said that she was going to take me and dad was already going to be waiting for me there. I know he went out with my brothers but he should have enough time to still come with me.

There's 24 hours of the day for a reason I'm only asking him for a maximum of 5 hours. He doesn't even have to stay the whole time. We could be here for an hour and I'd be happy.

I keep sending him messages but he's not seeing them. I even give in and call him at a point with no answer. The music is loud inside. I watch as people go inside.

They all have the biggest smiles on their faces. Fathers hold their daughter's hand going inside. I know dads with my brothers right now. They all have the happiest looks on their faces.

Third person pov

Lucky walks through the door with his sons, nephews and best friends. They all laugh talking about the amazing day they had. It was time like this he held close to his heart seeing his sons smiling ear to ear without worry on their shoulder. "Lucky where's Anna?" Athena asks, noticing her daughter didn't come in with them.

Mia and Bianca look outside just to make sure she didn't stay in the car. Emma comes from the kitchen wondering where her niece was as well. "She should be in her room. That's where she was when we left" He goes to the bar taking out a bottle of vodka pouring himself a glass. "Lucky today was that dance she's been telling you about" His face pales and his eyes widen.

It couldn't be today he thought

Annabeth has been talking about the father daughter dance since she first found out about it. He promised her he would be there then after they'd go get ice cream. "Lucky you mean to tell me she's been sitting there waiting for you for 5 hours" Athena yells at her husband in disbelief. He grabs his car keys ready to go pick her up and say how sorry he is. "Don't even I'll go get her" Athena pushes past her husband grabbing the keys to her car.

As she drives off anger fills her blood. Her knuckles turned white to how hard she's gripping the steering wheel. Lucky looks at his phone seeing the many messages his little girl sent to him.

Anna: Dad

Anna: I'm waiting for you in front of the school

Anna: it's been an hour I'm still here

Anna: Did you forget?

Anna: Are you on your way?

Anna: Dad hello!?

Anna: Please come this is the only thing I asked you for

Anna: dad you promised me you'd come

Anna: You promised

Anna: you broke your promise

How is he going to make this up to her? He didn't know how nothing was going to fix this. It's the only thing she's asked him for. Anytime he offers her something if it's not a book or record she wont accept. Even when everyone else gets something she always chooses not to.

Athena makes it to the school seeing her daughter in the same spot she left her in. Many dads and daughters are now smiling leaving the hall. "I'm so sorry Anna '' Athena tells her daughter, hugging her tightly. Annabeth cries in the arms of her mother. Athena brings her crying daughter to the car.

Annabeth doesn't say anything, just constantly wiping her face of all the tears that have fallen. She knew Lucky spent the day with her brothers. He still broke his promise the promise he made three months ago. Once Athena stops the car Anna grabs her phone going inside behind her mom. "Anna I-" Lucky starts to say but Anna just pushes past him going upstairs.

It broke his heart to see his only daughter in pain, pain that he caused. He knew he should have looked at his phone. "She'll get over it" Alessio has not a care in the world throwing himself on the couch. "Shut the fuck up Alessio" Federico throws a pillow at him. "Wow so now our day has to be ruined because dad forgot about a stupid dance. Anna can get over it they'll be plenty more in the future" He rolls his eyes Athena feels her blood boiling again looking at her son.

"Go upstairs we'll deal with him" Adriano and Vincenzo stop her from saying something to her son. She takes a deep breath before leaving the living room. "You are fucking stupid. Alessio that your triplet you dick" Gabriele hit's him in the back of the head. They all start telling Alessio how he's wrong but it goes in through one ear and out the other.

Once everyone leaves Lucky goes knocks on his daughter's door waiting for an answer. He doesn't hear anything and he knocks again checking if the door is open. The door is unlocked and he goes in seeing Anna laying on her side facing the balcony. Lucky sits on the edge of her bed rubbing her arm. "Anna" He says softly as she closes her eyes, biting her lip from letting out a loud sob.

"Annabeth I know you're awake" She turns around looking at her father without saying anything. "Anna I'm so sorry. I got caught up and wasn't looking at my phone" She still doesn't say anything not meeting the eyes of her father. "Anna I'm really sorry I really am" he hopes he's getting through to her. She just turns to the other side facing the balcony again.

Lucky hugs his daughter, placing a kiss on her forehead. "I love you Annabeth '' He walks out taking a deep breath. Walking to his room he still can't help but feel guilty. Going into his room he sees his wife sitting up on her phone. She looks up at him before looking back at her phone. He changes into more comfortable clothing. Laying next to her she still doesn't say anything to him. "Athena '' He takes her phone, putting it on the nightstand. "Lucky she's been reminding you for months' ' Athena looks at her husband.

"I know and I feel horrible. I feel sick to my stomach knowing I forgot. I don't know how to make it up to her."

"Lucky she doesn't want you to feel bad. She's angry because she sat there for hours waiting and you were out with the boys. She knew you were out with them. I think that's what hurt her more. Alessio doesn't make shit better either" Athena tells her husband running her hand through her hair.

"I really did forget and not on purpose. We had all put our phone on silent and just focused on the time we had. You think if I would have remembered I would have left her sitting there for hours alone"

"Lucky I know that you wouldn't have left her there. I know that out of all people. I just ugh you don't get what i'm saying"

"I do Athena. I just went to talk to her and she didn't even say anything. She didn't even want to look at me"

"She's hurt Lucky"

"I feel like shit Athena I'll figure it out soon I promise I'll make it up to her" Lucky pulls his wife closer to him. She believes him when he says he will make it up to Annabeth but she still feels upset for her daughter.
