Valentino's pov

I don't think Achilles has ever acted like this before. He is head over heels with Sofia. Everytime we talk to him it's about Sofia. He barely sits with us in class. It's always Sofia he sit's with. He is excited for their date tonight he said he has it planned out perfectly when in all reality it was Anna who planned it.

"Achilles I swear to god if you hurt her I am going to kill you" Anna threatens him he just smiles fixing his collar. "I'd rather sit in front of moving traffic" He wouldn't hurt her voluntarily. Achilles and Anna have been getting closer but that's all thanks to Sofia.

She hands him the picnic basket along with the books. "I'm leaving now bye" He yells out shutting the door. Anna turns around bumping into my chest. I hold her waist looking into her eyes that are mixing colors. "Im sorry" She says looking down I put my fingers under her chin making her look up at me. "Don't be sorry Bellissima I get to have you in my arms even if it's for two seconds" Her eyes light up and a smile comes to her face.

"Valentino were 17"

"I know bellissima trust me my love before i'm 18 we'd have months already under our belt"

"Don't lie to me Val i'd rather you tell me it will never happen than give me false hope"

"I promise you Annabeth and you are the only person I will never lie to"

"Why not?"

"Because I talked to my mom about you"

Annabeth's pov

Sofia texts me saying I love you. I text her back saying I love her more but it's weird. I asked Zeno he said the date probably went well. "I mean Anna think about it, she texted you out of nowhere she loves you. She's with Achilles right now. It's probably that they are now together" Zeno says, fixing his glasses and finishing his essay.

"Can you send me the work from Chemistry?" I ask him he nods , emailing it to me. I look out the window seeing Achilles car pull into the driveway. "He just came home"

"Go see how it went if anything i'll see you tomorrow at school"

"Alright bye Zeno"

"Bye Anna" He hangs up the phone and I put my laptop on my desk going downstairs.

Achilles comes in closing the door smiling to himself like an idiot. His cheeks are a rosey red as he just stays holding the handle to the door. It's like a movie scene where he takes a deep breath just looking at us. He has a red lipstick stain on his cheek. "It looks like it went well" Mom says he just looks at her nodding.

He hugs me tightly "Thank You Anna" He whispers I smile hugging him back. "It seems like she said yes" He nods happily.

"I promise I won't hurt her. Anna Im going to marry her one day"

"You don't think it's a bit too soon to say that?"

"No Anna because I've never want to leave her. She is perfect. I swear I was going to die of happiness today. When we were reading she came to my side and I held her tightly. It was like she was meant to fit there. Then we lit the lantern and when we released it I held her and oh my god it was like we were the only two people there. She looked at me with those beautiful blue eyes. I never noticed the small freckles across her face till then. We both looked at each other then we leaned in. I swear when her lips touched mine that was it. I pictured our whole future together."

"I think you both will last"

"All thanks to you I swear I don't even know how to thank you"

"Achilles you're my brother and she's my best friend I love you both dearly your happiness is more important to me than anything"

"You know who ever you end up with in the future is extremely lucky"

"How come?"

"You put everyone above yourself. You never are selfish and think of yourself even when you were in rehab. Seriously I hope you find that person soon"

"What if I have but you don't like who the person is"

"Then you know what Anna, I'll have to suck it up and see that you are happy. As long as he keeps a smile on your face and doesn't hurt you I'll live with it."

No you won't Achilles

He hugs me again before going upstairs to change. I look at Gio and Rico who just sigh. I sit in between them "I don't think Achilles understands what he's saying" Rico laughs I agree with him. Valentino comes downstairs laughing with Alessio and Nicola. They sit across from me.

They have their own conversation taking over the living room. There is a knock on the door Alessio opens revealing Adia with some of her friends. Adia goes straight to Alessio while one goes to Nicola. Gino comes down with Achilles, the two of them join the conversation. Achilles makes sure to stay away from the girls but it doesn't mean they don't try.

I look into Val's eyes. He looks into mine. His emerald green eyes smiled back at me, filling up with love. Just then a girl throws himself on his lap wrapping his arms around him. His arm goes around her and he smiles looking at her.

My heart starts to break into small pieces but I don't let it show. I go upstairs, locking my door and laying on my bed. I don't even know why I'm crying. I should have expected this it's happen before I don't know why I think it wouldn't happen again. It's okay though because he's happy.

Everyone deserves happiness even if I don't have any.
