21st birthdays are such a big thing in America.

Maybe because it's finally the age where everyone can do everything. I've been doing it for years though. It's different in Sicily and the fact that my parents were always open with me.

"Mom it's okay I know you tried to come, I'm not mad. We can't control Mother Nature" I tell mom on the phone. There's a huge storm hitting Europe. It's been thundering and raining for days. No flight has been able to leave.

Moms crying because everyone usually flys out to New York and I spend my birthday with my family. This year they can't fly out for 4 days till now. I know it's not their fault I'm not mad at them. They did everything they could.

"Anna but it your birthday"

"Mom it's 4 in the morning over there you need sleep. I promise I am not mad. I know you want to be here. I should have flown out home"

"No Anna. I wouldn't let you. When we all went to Milian it was different. I don't want you to come back home Unless you're ready. Last year when you tried to come on the plane with us you broke down. I won't put you through that."

"Mom I have to get over it sometime"

"No end of discussion Anna. You come when you are ready."

"Fine mom it's late go to sleep I'll call you when I wake up"

"Good night Anna I love you. Happy birthday"

"Thank you mom I love you more"

It's a few minutes till midnight but it's way too late for her to be up. Mom and dad have helped me with everything I needed.

I couldn't be more appreciative of them. Without them I wouldn't have come here and gotten better. I wouldn't have become the best person I can.

New York in July is hot. Not as hot as August but still hot. I put my hair up in a bun washing my face. I need something to eat.

I'll order pizza or something. I call it in telling the front desk it should be coming in 20 minutes. I go downstairs not seeing anyone. They're definitely up to something.

It's never this quiet in the house. Even when we're sleeping there's always at least one person who's up.

Opening my laptop I put my headphones on starting to finish some of the mission files. I control the warehouse in New York so I do all the paperwork.

"Happy Birthday Anna" I hear a loud voice yell. Ricardo holds a cake while Andrea lights the candles and Adeli holds Vito.

Marcello stands behind me closing my laptop taking out my headphones. They start to sing happy birthday and a smile comes to my face.

I blew out the candles. Ricardo sets the cake on the table. Marcello takes the frosting, putting it on my face and all over my lips.

"Marcello oh my god" he smiles at me pressing a kiss to my lips taking the frosting off.

"Happy birthday princess"

He smiles at me pulling me closer to him. "Thank you my love" He wipes the rest of the frosting off my face. The guards knock on the door and Riccardo goes to get it. My pizza is here finally. Riccardo sets it on the table while Andrea put's the cake in the freezer.

Pizza and Ice Cream. I'm already in the best mood.

"Why would you order pizza?" Marcello asks while sitting next to me. I take Vito out of Adeli's arms grabbing a slice. "Because I'm hungry, duh. Vito, you want some baby?" The two year old nods trying to grab it from me.

"Anna, don't give him too much. He should have been in bed"

"Adeli shut up I know how to feed my godson" She rolls her eyes and I feed him small pieces. He manages to get it all over his face. He gives me a big smile before I bring him to the sink cleaning his face. His tiny arms go as far as they can around my neck and he rests his head on my shoulder.

I get a piece of cake trying to give Vito some but he falls asleep on my shoulder. I let him sleep while I finished eating. "You know this is technically the first birthday we've spent with you since your 15th" Riccardo says. It's not a lie. Usually for my birthday we celebrate after mom and dad leave.

Not that they aren't invited there, just a different tension with certain people there. "Oh my god fuck there was so much trouble but happy birthday bitch" Alice says coming inside hugging me tightly. "Thank you Alice" She tells me it's no problem.

Adeli ends up taking Vito from me to put him down in his bed. I put away the rest of the cake, wiping down the counter top. "Go have sex i'll finish cleaning the table" Alice says taking the rag from me. "Alice i'm not having sex"

"Oh yes you are, Marcello is definitely going to eat you out"

"Alice, I need to put a filter on you again. Fuck what happened to high school Alice"

"She got fucked properly so get fucked" I roll my eyes going upstairs locking the door behind me. Marcello looks at me smirking, opening his arms. I lay in them he presses a kiss to cheek rubbing my back. "You know pretty boy you are incredible"

He pulls me onto his lap. I wrap my arms around his neck pulling him closer to me. His hands go to my hips and his eyes stay on mine. "Why's that princess"

"You just are"

He smiles at me pressing a kiss to my lips. Our lips move in sync. I start to move my hips in small circles feeling him growing even harder under me. Alice is right I do need to have sex. Marcello breaks the kiss removing my shirt while I take his off.

I wake up in Marcello's arms with a huge smile on my face. "Good morning Princess" He puts down his phone the second he notices i'm awake. "Good morning Marcello" I sit up resting my head on his shoulder and he presses a kiss to my temples.

"How did you sleep?" Marcello pulls me closer to him. I trace the tattoos on his chest. "Like a baby, how did you sleep?"

"I always sleep the best when I'm with you." He smiles at me, his hand caressing my cheek. I watch his blue eyes light up filled with so many emotions. They shine perfectly against the sun becoming one of the most beautiful pairs of eyes I've ever seen.

His curly dirty blonde hair all over the place but all I can focus on are his eyes. I want to dive into them and never come up from the surface. "I don't tell you how much I love you enough" He rested his forehead on mine, our lips brushing each other.

"You don't have to, all the little things you do is how you tell me you love me."

"I do need to tell you more though."

"You do enough for me"

"You deserve that and so much more Anna. I love you so much it hurts how much I love you. You invaded my heart, my dreams, my thoughts. Everything I do brings me right back to you, my love."

"I love you more Marcello" I pressed a soft tender kiss to his lips before burying my head in the crook of his neck. He holds me, rubbing my back as we sit in a comfortable silence.

I could stay like this forever

Marcello's pov

"Come on pretty boy, what are you waiting for?" Anna says coming out of the bathroom. I look up from my phone seeing the red skintight dress fitting her body perfectly.

Her long blonde hair flowing down her back, her blue-grey eyes lighting up as she walks in front of me. "You look beautiful princess" I grab her hand sitting her on my lap.

"Marcello, we have to go. We are already late"

"Everyone can wait a few more minutes. I need to admire how beautiful you are right now" A small blush comes to her cheeks. Her arms go around my neck and she rests her head on my shoulder. I hold her, rubbing her back, pressing a kiss to her cheek.

I hope she doesn't feel how hard my heart is beating out of my chest. Her body fits perfectly in my arms. I can't get that feeling out of my body every time I see her.

I just want to hold her for this lifetime and the next one after that.

"Come on Marcello." She slides off my lap grabbing my hand. I playfully roll my eyes when getting my phone. I wrap my arm around her waist holding her to my side as we go downstairs.

The car is already waiting for us in the parking lot. She looks beautiful. The red dress fits her body perfectly. You see every inch of every curve. It falls right under ass no doubt all eyes are going to be on her tonight.

"You look beautiful princess" A light blush goes to her face and she smiles resting her head on my shoulder. I opened the car door for her, letting her go inside first. I close the door behind me.

The driver says that there's some traffic on our way there so it might take us a little bit longer. Anna shrugs her shoulders.

My hand goes to her thigh. I check my phone seeing emails about either work or details in Anna's new missions.

Anna runs her hands through her hair. I look at her shaking my head. "You look fine princess"

Alice comes holding a tray full of shots shoving one in everyone's hand. "You guys are not going to be boring tonight" Anna takes two shots back to back before she fills up her cup with Whiskey.

In the span of three hours Anna is now drunk to her ass. I don't know how many bottles she went through, that doesn't even count all the shots she took. Right now I'm watching her dance with Alice. I was down there with her for a while.

Her hips move to the beat of the music, her dressing riding up each time she grinds her body into the air. Multiple guys are staring at her but she has no idea. "Any more drinks she'll have alcohol poisoning" Adeli says drinking water.

"I'm surprised you didn't drink more"

"Vito might be sleeping but I like to come home sober to my son, I also want to be sober when I thank the guards for watching him. I say stupid things when I'm drunk"

I watch as a guy goes behind Anna trying to touch her waist. Anger fills my veins. I walk as quickly as I can to her. "Touch her and i'll kill you" The guy's eyes widen and he quickly moves away. I look at Anna who is just laughing.

"Come on princess it's time for us to go home" Anna grabs my hands putting them around her waist. "Dance with me Marcello" She stumbles against her feet thankfully i'm here to get her.

"I'll dance for you at home, come on love" She holds my hand I wrap my arms around her waist holding her up. The driver is already outside. I open the door, sitting her down. She rests her head on my lap. I run my hands through her hair feeling her breathing get lighter.

She's falling asleep. "Baby i'm thirsty" Anna mumbles. I felt my heart smile when she called me baby. "Were almost home princess i'll get you some water" She curls into a ball sleeping soundly.

The car comes to a stop. I take her in my arms walking inside. The elevator ride has to be the longest part thankfully the guards open the door for me allowing us to go inside. I bring her upstairs laying her on the bed quickly getting a bottle of water for her.

I take off her heels, setting them aside, grabbing one of my shirts for her. I put it over her head, unzipping the back of her dress. She'll be covered when I take it off because I'd never want to feel like I took advantage of her. Grabbing a pair of shorts I helped her put them on.

She only wore lipstick tonight and it's already off with shot glasses stained on her lips. "Do you still want water princess?" I ask, rubbing her back she shakes her head no laying down on the pillow. I take off my clothes, throw them in the hamper, and put on a pair of basketball shorts.

"Baby where are you?" Anna lifts her head squinting her eyes.

"I'm right here princess, sleep my love i'll always be here when you wake up" She wraps her arms around me resting her head on my chest.

"I love you Marcello"

"I love you so much more Annabeth"
