Me: Nah, don't think so Today, 5:55 pm

But I'll leave them alone. They don't text me the whole time when I'm on a date.

About fricking dates. Where are my boyfriends? And why are they fricking ignoring me?

I bike to candy store. Maybe Owen is there?

But when I arrive, no signs of an open store are to be seen. I sigh. Where are they?

I frown. What if they got called to a mission. What if they're dead?

What if they're not?

I sigh, frustrated. This really is a dick move, either way.

I look around, doubting what I'll do now. Maybe bike around a bit? It's too early to return home, and too late to eat another ice cream.

I decide to do just that. Biking is healthy anyway. The sky is pretty again. The same as when we had our picnic.

The streets are empty. Most of the people are probably eating dinner or out. Mom is sill cooking ours, I have to be home in only an hour.

I smile when I see the cozy restaurants. I used to go here when the whole family was still complete. That is, when we thought everything went well. Dad was probably already cheating back then.

I hop off my bike. I want to look inside what used to be my favorite restaurant. It's a cozy one, everything in in pastel colors and soft. The owner is really friendly and sneaks candy into your bag when you say his magic word, which is 'banana'.

Ah, good times.

I could say hello to him... I smile. I'd love that.

I walk in and hear the familiar sound of the bell ringing. The owner, who is also the bartender, looks up and gets a big smile on his face. "Look who just walked in! One of the Hudsons!"

I blush and quickly walk to him, feeling awkward with the stares of people who hear him yell. "Andy, would you hush?" I laugh.

He chuckles. "What can I got you? For the Hudsons, first drink free," he winks. I smile. "A soda, please."

He walks away to the refrigerator. I know it's in the back, something he always complains about when we go here.

I look around. The restaurant's pretty full today, just a few tables empty. I smile when I see old couples dining. I've always liked elder couples, they're just so cute!

My eyes widen when I see the big table is being used. Normally, that one is always empty!

But my heart stops when I see who's seated there. Just stops. Then, it sinks below the floor.

Jordan.

Ethan.

Elijah.

Owen.

Aaron.

And each of them has an own girl.

Tears spring in my eyes. Why are they here? Why are these girls with them? Why are they on their phones, but not answering me?

Wait. Maybe they did. I pull my phone out and quickly open our group chat. But guess what? No responses, no reads. Just my delivered texts.

I slowly look up at them again. They haven't seen me yet...

And that stupid girl is licking Ethan's neck. He said he didn't like it when I tried that.

Elijah is talking, like, a lot. I swallow. Was he just acting quiet with me, to not have to talk to me?

Aaron is eating tomatoes. And when I cooked dinner, he said he despises tomatoes. Maybe it were just my tomatoes?

Jordan is showing public affection. Again, he said he didn't like that with me.

Owen is all happy and jumpy. Was he just acting depressed with me?

And Ethan... he's not wearing my bracelet anymore. He always wears that. Even in the pool.

I gulp and wipe the tears away. They don't deserve those.

The owner is back with my soda. I turn and try to smile at me, but he sees right through me. "What's up, little Hudson?"

I shrug and plaster another smile. "Nothing. Can I help serving the big table? It's a lot of work, ten people," I say. He nods, surprised. "Sure! These are the drinks. Oh! Please don't charge twenty an hour like Tom does. That boy almost crashed this restaurant!"

I roll my eyes. "Sounds like him."

I take the plate with the drinks and take a big breath. Time to confront them and end this all. I sigh. Just when I was happy...

But I refuse to be the girl who so desperately tries to hang on her boyfriends she forgets her own worth. No way.

So, I just walk up to them. "The whisky?"

The talking stops dead as five pair of eyes lock with me. I sweetly smile. "Well? I don't want to hold you and your girlfriends up any longer."

Jordan jumps up and grabs my wrist, but I tear myself apart from him. I set down the plate. "Do not touch me, Jordan."

Ethan stands up too. "Princess, this—" "Isn't what it looks like?" I cock an eyebrow and cross my arms over my chest? He gulps.

Elijah stays quiet. Oh, so now I am involved, he goes back to that?

"Outside, now. So we can do this properly without eyes on our backs," I snap. With their head low, the five of them walk outside. The girls stay seated.

Good, or I'd rip off their heads.

I close the door behind us. The street is still empty.

"Talk," I snap, arms crossed over my chest. They stay silent. I cock an eyebrow and motion with my head. "Tell me what the fuck is going on? Why the fuck are you with those girls and why the fuck haven't you replied to my texts?"

Silence. They just stare at me.

"Have you any idea how worried I was? What thoughts I had? I thought you were dead, or hurt, or fallen in a canyon!"

Owen bites his lip. "We're not dead, darling."

"Don't call me darling, Owen! I fucking swear, you thought you could just ghost me?" I let out a laugh in disbelief.

"And why the fuck are you not explaining? If you don't say a thing now, don't come after me in Italy then."

That makes them open their mouths. "Italy? Why would you go to Italy?"

I scoff. "Wouldn't you like to fucking know?"

Elijah gives me a stern look. "Enough with the cursing now, Scarlett." My jaw drops at his remarks.

"What the actual fuck?"

My whole mind is going in a state of confusion. Why are they not answering? "Who were those girls? Why didn't you just tell me you wanted girls on your own? I'd have understood," I tell them. The rage is taking over.

I'd have understood. I know from the beginning this couldn't last. That this, is an exception, a try out. I was never an option for 'forever', I always knew that.

But to end it like this? They are fucking dicks.

"If you're not telling me anything, I'm leaving." I take a deep breath, needing air to not pass out. This wasn't what I'd expacted to happen today.

Aaron frowns. "Sunbeam, what is that thing with—" "I am not your sunbeam anymore, Aaron. Fuck, that girl was on your lap!"

He shuts his eyes for a second. "Scarlett, what is that thing about Italy? How long have you known about it?"

I huff. No answers for me, no answers for them either.

Elijah's eyes widen. "The one Dylan signed you up for? I thought you said that was just a joke?"

I shrug. It actually was, but the option to go to the other end of the world does seem very attracting right now.

"So I don't get any explanation?"

Silence, once again.

I nod, not letting my tears out, and force myself to shrug, to act like I care as less as they do.

"Italy it is, then."

Please, please, please don't hate me
