I see Ethan and Scarlett kissing from the large window outside.

I grumble. As much as I love Ash, I want kisses too. He tugs my sleeve and I look down. He's collecting leafs in the woods around our mansion. I sigh and follow him.

Scarlett better gives me a lot  kisses when I get back in.

And not because I have to spend time with her brother, no, I love him. But it's raining, and cold. He doesn't care, but he's wearing a jacket. It wasn't raining when we left, so I thought a sweater was enough.

He hops over the path, and giggles whenever he sees a bird. I smile at him and nod, giving him permission to jump into the pile of leaves. He won't get cold, he has a bonnet and a scarf.

My teeth start to clatter and I wrap my arms around my torso. I rub my arms, hoping I'll get warm of it again. It doesn't work.

And he stills walks further into the woods. But the whole way we're going in, we have to go back too...

But I can't deny him his fun. Although his parents are jerks, he deserves a nice childhood. So we're trying our best to give him that. And that's why I follow him deeper into the woods.

At a point, he sees a puddle. He giggles and runs to it. What?

But before I can progress what he's doing, he stomps and splashes in it, kicking it in the air. And I get the full dose of it. I start shuddering, not feeling my fingers anymore.

"A-Ash, why d-don't we ret-turn?" I ask him, gently hinting to go back. He pouts. "But this is fun!" he exclaims. Oh no no no, don't cry!

I smile at him, though it takes me a lot of effort because my teeth are literally detaching from my mouth. "Okay, ten more minutes and then we're going back, okay?"

He stomps in the air and giggles. "You're the best, Jordy!"  I smile. I may be the best, but I'm freezing too.

The ten minutes pass by slowly. He runs forward, and I have to follow him. You'd expect running makes me warm, but no. The wind and the rain are making it even colder.

I have a snot nose and tears in my eyes when we finally turn around. How can it be this cold? I'm not even shivering anymore, my body is frozen.

So we walk slowly, because I literally can't move my legs anymore. Not that he cares, he's just collecting leafs fir cones in his bag. Finally, I can see the lights of the mansion. I sigh relieved. "Look, Ash! Owen is waiting for you!" I point and he runs inside.

I still have to walk half a mile. My steps slow down the more I feel the wind. Sure, it was cold in the woods, but now it's an open place, there's more wind. Oh fuck.

Asher runs inside.

He enthusiastically shows the guys his leafs. I frown and watch the door from the couch while they're in the kitchen. Wasn't Jordan with him?

I get up and walk to the window, seeing him shivering in the parking lot. He's not even wearing a jacket!

I gasp and run downstairs, outside. He just stands there, eyes closed and arms wrapped around hus body. I gently take his hand in mine, and am startled to find it as cold as ice.

This can't be good.

"C'mon, Jordan. Let's go inside," I whisper, but all I hear is his teeth clattering. "S-Scarlett," he whispers. "I-I can't m-move. M-my muscles a-are froz-frozen."

I roll my eyes. Men always exaggerate.

But he really does seem cold. I take his hand back in mine and lead him inside. We sit down on the couch, but he's still shivering and shuddering.

Lucky for him, the open fire is already on. I pull him close, his head resting on my chest. He sighs, but doesn't stop clattering his teeth. I wrap a blanket around us.

"K-kisses?"

"Will that make you warm again?" I ask. He nods, but doesn't stop shuddering. I bend down to kiss him, but then notice his lips are blue. I gasp again. "Jordan! Your lips are blue!"

He nods again. "I-I know," he stutters. I try to get up, but he grips my waist very hard. "N-no, S-Scarlett," he shivers. I cup his cheeks, and am startled by the coldness of it. "I'm getting a hot chocolate for you, to warm up."

He frowns and shakes his head. "N-no, please. I n-need hugs," he says. I melt for him. "Okay. What do you say when we settle in your bed? Blankets, warmth and a movie? And I'll ask someone to bring us hot chocolates."

"Y-yes," he clatters. Okay. Let's get up. I stand up, and he holds my waist. But he does stand up and leaning on me, he sighs. We walk to his room and I push him in bed. I notice he moves better than when he came in, so I guess he's getting warmer.

I'm not even sitting when he pulls me closer. He climbs onto my lap and snuggles into my chest. It's like we're kangaroos. It's like he's the baby and he's in my pouch, so close is he.

"I like this," he sighs happily. I cage him in my arms. "Same," I smile," how are you feeling?" He shrugs, but I feel his body warming up. His lips and finger nails aren't blue anymore, and his face is getting more color with every minute.

I pat his nose and he looks up. "Why on earth did you stay that long in the woods? You knew you were cold! Hell, you were far past the point of being cold!"

He shrugs. "Ash was having fun."

"So you did what? Like, just freeze to dead for him to get five more leafs?" I say in a harsh tone. He cringes. "Sorry. I just thought-"

"Well, you were thinking wrong."

He closes his eyes. "I just... I wanted him to have a normal childhood for once. The poor boy deserves it, he's so happy. He was having so much fun, and when I said we should better turn back, he almost started crying."

Oh. I didn't know this was the reason.

"Sorry," I whisper and kiss his nose. He shrugs. "It's okay. Can I get my kisses now?" he pouts. I still have a feeling he's a little hurt by my outburst, so I decline.

Now he looks down and nods. "Sorry. I shouldn't urge this much. I'm sorry. If you don't want to, you don't have to. I was just- I wasn't thinking straight."

I cup his face and make him look up at me. My eyes widen when I see his eyes are a bit watery. He shakes his head free and looks down again. "Maybe I should go," he says and shifts to get out of bed.

I grab his waist and pull him back to his spot. "Nope. You're not going anywhere." I feel him swallow again my chest. Is he swallowing his tears. I look down, to see he let some go.

"Jordan." I grab his chin and make him look up at me again. He softly sobs. "No, it doesn't matter. Really, it's fine," he insists, but fails to look cogent.

"Jordan," I repeat. He blinks up at me. "Come here and kiss me," I smile. But he shakes his head. "N-no, you just said you don't want to. You don't have to change that because of me. You have to wait until you're ready."

I shifts my thumbs a bit, caressing his cheeks. He leans into it, enjoying the touch. "Jordan, I am ready. I didn't kiss you because I thought you still weren't feeling well. I don't know if you still feel like your limbs will fall off now do I?"

He shakes his head. I don't think anyone is allowed to call him weaker than usual, and the fact I just saw him crying doesn't help his ego.

"So, kiss me," I demand. He glances at my lips, then slowly leans in. I smile and cross the distance, connecting our lips.

I kiss him slowly, showing I want to kiss him. And then his lips part and he cups my face, picking up the pace. He takes possession of my lips. And he loves it, I can tell by the way his fingers tremble.

A knock on the door sounds and Owen comes in. He widens his eyes and covers them then with his hand.

"I got you hot chocolate."
