Golden

I was currently in my bed room munching on some Hot Cheetos as I watched Bad Girls Club with Shae. The kids were all in the playroom, Kaelin offered to watch them, so I was thankful for that. It had been a little over a week since I've left the hospital and Shae hasn't left my side. She decided to come up here with Addison and stay until I was better. I was feeling a little depressed since finding out I lost one of the babies, they were able to remove him or her without harming the other baby.

"I haven't seen Jayceon around, I know y'all broke up but where is he?" Shae asked. I hadn't told her about the anything that has happened. She knows nothing about the wife, HIV or about Jayceon putting his hands on me.

"I don't know, I haven't heard from him. I don't really care what the hell he does anymore" I shrugged picking up my bottle of Snapple Peach Tea.

"Well those are his fucking kids too, typical of this nigga to not own up to his responsibilities." She scoffed and stood up straightening out her clothes.

"Listen I want my kids to have their father in their lives but I don't care if Jayceon never comes around them. He does nothing but lie and say bullshit out his mouth"

"We're going to the house, get up" she suddenly said slapping my legs.

"No, I don't want to see him" I argued.

"Y'all broke up...boo hoo stop hiding from that nigga. Get up, when I come back in this room you better be ready" she warned before walking out of the room. I figured she went to go get the kids ready. I rolled over and made my way to the closet to get ready even though I didn't want to.

"I can't believe I let you talk me into coming here" I said as we pulled up on the block. Shae slowly pulled into the driveway of the house and I noticed Jayceon car wasn't in the driveway.

"Well you better believe it, get out the car" she said shutting the engine off and getting out. She slid the door of the van open and helped the kids out.

"He's probably not even home we should go" I said not wanting to be here. I was a little scared of Jayceon after what happened and I hated him for causing me to lose one of the babies.

"His car is probably in the garage, why are you acting like that?" She asked looking at me weird.

"Shae...I gotta tell you something" I said giving her a look so she knew it was serious. She nodded her head and told the kids to go back in the van and watch a movie on the mini tv in there.

"What happened?" She asked walking from the van a little.

"He has a wife and a child and I might have HIV. When I confronted him on it he hit me and I fell, I hit my stomach really hard, that's why I lost the..." I told her with a shaky breath. I didn't want to break down in front of the kids so I tried to keep it together.

"Oh my gosh Gold" she cried pulling me into her.

"I should've told you before" I whisper as I pulled away from the hug.

"No it's okay, you need time and why didn't you press charges Gold?"

"I couldn't bring myself to do that to him or the kids" I sniffled holding back tears. Shae didn't say anything else to me, she just went to the door and rang the bell multiple times but no one answered.

"You have a spear key, he could be in there hiding"

"Shae we should just go" I suggested. I turned around and looked at the kids in the car.

"No give me spear key" she said. I reached into my bag and pulled out key. She didn't waste anytime until the door and going inside. I turned around and got the kids out the car and closed it before going inside.

"Mommy we see daddy?" Elijah asked excitedly. Kash and Ketara had already ran towards their play room they had here. Addison was attached to her mothers side and ran anywhere she went.

"Mom where's Jay?" Kaelin asked.

"I don't know" I said looking down noticing gmail had piled up a little at the door. I picked them up and placed them on the table.

"He can't be here, he's a neat freak, he wouldn't leave the mail on the floor" I said more to myself. The sound of the doorbell withdrew me from my thoughts. I opened the door and saw it was an an officer.

I panicked wondering why the officer was here. I hope Jayceon didn't call them in an attempt to get me arrested. I took a deep breath before putting my hand on the handle and opened the door.
